# Before staring Namaz

## Text

- Arabic: لَبَّیْكَ وَسَعْدَیْكَ۔
- Transliteration: LABBAIY-KA WA SA’DAIY-KA.
- Urdu: لبیّک وسعدیک

- Arabic: وَجَّهْتِ وَجِی للَّذِیْ فَطَرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ حَنِیْفًا مُسْلِمًا۔
- Transliteration: WAJJAH-TE WAJIL LAZEE FATARIS SAMAA-WAATE WAL ARZE HANEE-FAN MUSLEMAN.
- English: I have turned towards one who created the heavens and the Earth while I surrender before him and worship him.
- Urdu: میں اس کی طرف متوجہ ہوا کہ جس نے آسمان اور زمین کو پیدا کیا حالانکہ خدا پرست اور مسلمان ہوں۔

- Arabic: عَلٰی مِلَّۃِ اِبْرَاهِیْمَ وَدِیْنَ مَحَمَّدٍ وَّمَنْهَاجِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ اَبِیْ طَالِبْ وَالْاِتَمَامِ بَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ حَنِیْفًا مُسْلِمًا وَمَا اَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ۔
- Transliteration: A’LAA MILLATE IBRAAHEEMA WA DEENA MOHAMMADIW WA MAN-HAAJE A’LIYYIB-NE ABEE TAALIB WAL-ITA-MAAME BAALE MOHAMMADIN HANEE-FAN MUSLEMAN WA MAA ANAA MINAL MUSHRE-KEENA.
- English: I have faith upon the nation of Ibrahim and the religion of Mohammad and the path of Ali bin Abi Talib, and I offer my prayers accepting the leadership of Mohammad s Progeny, while I worship and surrender before Allah, without ascribing any partner to Him.
- Urdu: میں ابراہیمؑ کے مذہب پر اور محمدؐ کے دین پر اور علی بن ابی طالبؑ کے راستے پر ہوں اور آل محمدؑ کا پیرو ہوں حالانکہ خدا پرست ہوں اور مسلمان ہوں اور مشرکین سے نہیں ہوں۔

- Arabic: وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِیَ لِلَّذِیْ فَطَرِ السَّمَاوَتِ وَالْاَرْضَ حَنِیْفًا مُسْلِمًا عَلٰی مِلَّۃِ اِبْرَاهِیْمَ وَدِیْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُدٰی اَمِیْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَمَا اَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ، اِنَّ صَلَاتِیْ وَنُسُكِیْ وَمَحْیَایَ وَمَمَاتِیْ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ، لَا شَرِیْكَ لَهٗ وَبِذٰلِكَ اُمِرْتُ اَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِیْنَ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ اجْعَلْنِیْ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِیْنَ، اَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ السَّمِیْعِ الْعَلِیْمِ مِنَ الشَّیْطَانِ الرَّجِیْمِ، بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ ثُمَّ تَقَرًا الْحَمْدٍ۔
- Transliteration: WAJJAH-TO WAJHE-YA LIL-LAZEE FATA-RIS SAMAA-WAATE WAL-ARZA HANEE-FAN MUSLE-MAN A’LAA MILLATE IBRAAHEEMA WA DEENE MOHAMMADIN WA HODA AMEERIL MOMENEENA WA MAA ANAA MINAL MUSHRE-KEEN, INNA SALAA-TEE WA NOSO-KEE WA MAH-YAAYA WA MAMAA-TEE LILLAAHE RABBIL A’ALA-MEENA, LAA SHAREEKA LAHU WA BE-ZAALEKA O-MIRTO ANAA MINAL MUSLE-MEENA. ALLAAHUM-MAJ A’LNEE MINAL MUSLE-MEENA, AOO’ZO BILLAA-HIS SAMEE-I’L A’LEEME ME-NASH SHAIYTAA-NIR RAJEEME, BISMILLAA-HIR RAHMAA-NIR RAHEEME, SUMMA TAQARAL HAMDIN.
- English: I have directed my face towards the one who created the Heavens and the Earth while I am a worshipper who surrenders before Him, I have faith upon the nation of Ibrahim and the religion of Mohammad and the guidance of the Commander of the faithful, indeed my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my death are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. No partner has He, and this I have been commanded, and I am the first (among You) of the Muslims. O Allah, regard me among the Muslims, I seek refuge in Allah, the Hearer, the Knower, from Satan, the expelled, in the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
- Urdu: میں نے اپنا رُخ اس خدا کی طرف کیا جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا خالق غائب و حاضر کا جاننے والا ہے باطل سے کٹا ہوا فرما بردار ہوں اورمشرکوں سے نہیں ہوں بے شک میری نماز میری عبادت اور میری زندگی اور میری موت خدا کےلیے ہے جو جہانوں کا رب ہے اس کا کوئی ثانی نہیں مجھے یہی حکم ملا اور میں فرماں برداروں میں سے ہوں۔
