### Ethics of Shias towards Imam Mahdi (a) on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

- Instruction: The honourable Sayyid Razi ud Deen Ali bin Taoos writes in a section of his book under the heading ethics of Shias on the day of Eid towards someone who considers that he is the Imam and holds a mighty position that: Hence I say: when the day of Eid ul Fitr arrives, and if the Master of the government and its issues is Imam Mahdi (a) himself, who administers the nation and the kingdom, and his people hold the character he desires, thus congratulate his holiness for Allah (swt) has turned towards him and has granted him the power and kingdom. Then congratulate yourself, and all your near and dear ones, and all the people living on earth having faith in the Imamate of his holiness, and all those who have benefitted from his presence, his imamate, his grace and guidance, and have gained the benefits of his noble kingdom. And if the person whose obedience is considered obligatory by You but he is prevented from ruling the kingdom, then the impact of Allah’s wrath and anger should be evident on your faces, and you should be sorrowful and upset about all the divine grace and favour from which you are deprived. Thus, indeed we have narrated from the book Man-la Yahzarhul Faqeeh through our own chain of authority which ends on Sheikh Sadooq, and from other books with his authority, from Hannan bin Sadeer, who narrated from Abdullah bin Dinar, who narrated from Imam Baqir (a) that his holiness said: O Abdullah, there is no Eid ul Qurbaan or Fitr that arrives for the Muslims in which the sorrow and grief of the household of Mohammad (a) does not increase.
- Instruction (Urdu): معزز سید رضی الدین علی بن طاؤوسؒ اپنی کتاب کے ایک حصے میں، عید کے دن شیعوں کے اخلاق و آداب کے عنوان کے تحت لکھتے ہیں، ایسے شخص کے بارے میں جو اس بات کا قائل ہو کہ وہ اپنے زمانے کے امام ہیں اور ایک عظیم و بلند مرتبہ مقام رکھتے ہیں کہ: پس میں یہ کہتا ہوں کہ جب عیدالفطر کا دن آئے، اور اگر حکومت اور اس کے تمام امور کے مالک خود امام مہدیؑ ہوں، جو امت اور سلطنت کا انتظام سنبھالے ہوئے ہوں، اور ان کے پیروکار وہی کردار اختیار کیے ہوئے ہوں جو وہ پسند فرماتے ہیں، تو سب سے پہلے ان کی خدمت میں مبارک باد پیش کرو، کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کی طرف توجہ فرمائی ہے اور انہیں اقتدار اور سلطنت عطا کی ہے۔ پھر اپنے آپ کو مبارک باد دو، اور اپنے تمام عزیز و اقارب کو بھی، اور زمین پر بسنے والے ہر اس شخص کو مبارک باد دو جو ان کی امامت پر ایمان رکھتا ہے، اور ان تمام لوگوں کو بھی جنہوں نے ان کی موجودگی، ان کی امامت، ان کے لطف و کرم اور ان کی ہدایت سے فائدہ اٹھایا ہے، اور ان کی عظیم و باوقار حکومت کے ثمرات سے بہرہ مند ہوئے ہیں۔ اور اگر وہ ہستی، جس کی اطاعت کو اللہ نے تم پر واجب قرار دیا ہے، حکومت و اقتدار سے محروم کر دی گئی ہو، تو اللہ کے غضب اور اس کی ناراضی کے آثار تمہارے چہروں پر نمایاں ہونے چاہییں، اور تمہیں ان تمام الٰہی نعمتوں اور عنایات کے چھن جانے پر غمگین اور رنجیدہ ہونا چاہیے جن سے تم محروم کر دیے گئے ہو۔ پس بے شک ہم نے یہ روایت اپنی سند کے ساتھ کتاب مَن لا یحضُرُہُ الفقیہ سے نقل کی ہے، جو ہماری سند کے ذریعے شیخ صدوقؒ تک پہنچتی ہے، اور اسی طرح ان کی سند کے ساتھ دیگر کتابوں سے بھی نقل کیا ہے، حنّان بن سدیر سے، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن دینار سے روایت کی ہے، اور انہوں نے امام محمد باقرؑ سے روایت کی ہے کہ آپؑ نے فرمایا: اے عبداللہ! مسلمانوں کے لیے جب بھی عیدالاضحیٰ یا عیدالفطر آتی ہے، تو ایسا نہیں ہوتا کہ آلِ محمدؑ کے غم اور حزن میں اضافہ نہ ہو۔

- Instruction: Abdullah asked: What for? His holiness replied: Because they (pbut) consider their right to be usurped by others. I say: If you knew the conditions of the time of his reappearance, and would be aware of how the flags of Islam will be wide open for justice, and the rulings of people will be evident by grace and knowledge, and the riches will be distributed with generosity between the slaves of Allah in His path, and the desires will be fulfilled, safety and peace will overcome all the near and distanced points of earth, and victory will be in the hands of the weak and humiliated men, and the sun of good-fortune will shine upon the world making it bright, good-fortune will spread widely in all the high and low lying lands, and the illuminating order of Allah along with His powerful empire will prevail in such a way that all minds will be delighted, all hearts will be rejoiced, and all places will be dominated by light. Indeed, this Eid, upon whose arrival you are delighted, would seem offensive to you and you would realize how much of Allah’s grace and bounties you have lost, and your heart would be occupied with mourning and grief, and it is appropriate and loyal for someone who is dignified and respectable near You. By mentioning these brief points, we have unveiled the reality for you up to some extent but haven’t illustrated and explained it like it should have been done; and that which we mentioned is merely for providing awareness and to indicate towards it. This is because the aforementioned text falls short of explaining that which we intend to explain. And you should know that friendship and loyalty for the righteous people while living away from them is more appropriate than the friendship and loyalty expressed in their presence. Thus, this friendship and devotion should seep in the bottom of ones heart for his master; and your Lord is able to solve and remove all your grief, sorrows and difficulties.
- Instruction (Urdu): عبداللہ نے عرض کیا: یہ کیوں؟ آپؑ نے فرمایا: اس لیے کہ وہ (علیہم السلام) اپنے حق کو دوسروں کے ہاتھوں غصب شدہ سمجھتے ہیں۔ میں کہتا ہوں: اگر تم ان کے ظہور کے زمانے کے حالات کو جان لو، اور اس بات سے آگاہ ہو جاؤ کہ عدل کے لیے اسلام کے جھنڈے کس طرح پوری طرح بلند ہوں گے، اور لوگوں کے درمیان فیصلے فضل اور علم کی بنیاد پر واضح ہوں گے، اور اللہ کے بندوں کے درمیان اس کے راستے میں دولت فراخ دلی سے تقسیم کی جائے گی، اور خواہشات پوری ہوں گی، اور امن و سلامتی زمین کے قریب اور دور ہر گوشے پر چھا جائے گی، اور فتح کمزور اور مظلوم لوگوں کے ہاتھ میں ہوگی، اور نیک بختی کا سورج دنیا پر اس طرح چمکے گا کہ اسے روشن کر دے گا، اور خوش حالی بلند و پست ہر خطے میں پھیل جائے گی، اور اللہ کا نورانی نظام اور اس کی طاقتور سلطنت اس طرح غالب ہوگی کہ تمام عقلیں مسرور ہو جائیں گی، تمام دل خوشی سے بھر جائیں گے، اور ہر جگہ نور ہی نور ہو جائے گا۔ بے شک یہی وہ عید ہے جس کی آمد پر تم خوش ہوتے ہو، جو اس وقت تمہیں ناگوار محسوس ہوگی، اور تمہیں اندازہ ہو جائے گا کہ تم اللہ کے فضل اور اس کی نعمتوں سے کس قدر محروم رہے ہو، اور تمہارا دل ماتم اور غم میں ڈوبا رہے گا۔ اور یہی حال اس شخص کے لیے مناسب اور وفاداری کے شایانِ شان ہے جو تیرے نزدیک باوقار اور معزز شمار ہوتا ہے۔ ان مختصر نکات کے بیان کے ذریعے ہم نے کسی حد تک تم پر حقیقت کو آشکار کر دیا ہے، لیکن ہم نے اسے اس طرح پوری طرح بیان اور واضح نہیں کیا جس طرح بیان کیا جانا چاہیے تھا۔ اور جو کچھ ہم نے ذکر کیا ہے وہ صرف آگاہی پیدا کرنے اور اس کی طرف اشارہ کرنے کے لیے ہے، کیونکہ مذکورہ عبارت اس بات کی مکمل وضاحت سے قاصر ہے جسے ہم بیان کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ اور تمہیں یہ بات جان لینی چاہیے کہ نیک لوگوں سے دوستی اور وفاداری ان سے دوری کی حالت میں ان کی موجودگی میں ظاہر کی جانے والی دوستی اور وفاداری سے زیادہ مناسب اور بامعنی ہوتی ہے۔ پس یہ محبت اور عقیدت اپنے آقا کے لیے انسان کے دل کی گہرائیوں میں رچ بس جانی چاہیے۔ اور تمہارا پروردگار تمہارے تمام غم، اندوہ اور مشکلات کو دور کرنے پر پوری قدرت رکھتا ہے۔
