- Instruction: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr reports the following: Once I said to Imam Reza (a), ‘May Allah keep my soul in service for your cause. Pray to Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, to grant me lawful sustenance. The Imam (a) said, Do you know what lawful sustenance is? I said, That which we earn and is pure. The Imam (a) said that Ali ibn Hussain (a) would say, Lawful sustenance is the sustenance of the chosen ones. The Imam (a) then instructed me to say…
- Instruction (Urdu): احمد ابن محمد ابن نصر نے لکھا ہے کہ: ایک مرتبہ میں نے امام رضاؑ سے کہا: اللہ میری جان آپ کی خدمت میں لگا دے۔ اللہ تعالی سے دعا کرو کہ وہ مجھے حلال رزق عطا کرے۔ امامؑ نے فرمایا: کیا تمہیں معلم ہے کہ حلال رزق کیا ہے؟ میں نے فرمایا کہ جو ہم کماتے ہیں اور وہ پاک ہو۔ امامؑ نے فرمایا کہ علی ابن حسینؑ کہینگے کہ، حلال رزق وہ رزق ہے جو (اللہ) کے منتخب بندوں کا ہے۔ پھر امامؑ نے مجھے اس طرح سے کہنے کو کہا۔۔۔

- Arabic: اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ الْوَاسِعِ۔
- Transliteration: AS-ALOKA MIN RIZQE-KAL WAASE’E’.
- English: I plead before You for Your vast sustenance.
- Urdu: میں سوال کرتا ہو تیرے وسعت رزق کا۔
