- Instruction: Shaikh Kulayni reports Imam Sadiq (a) as saying, “Do not miss saying the following guard-seeking supplication after each prayer…
- Instruction (Urdu): شيخ کلينی معتبر سند کے ساتھ امام جعفر صادقؑ  سے روايت کرتے ہيں کہ فرمايا: اس دعاکو ہر فريضہ کے بعد پڑھو اور ہرگز ترک نہ کرو۔۔۔

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: اُعِيْذُ نَفْسِىْ وَمَا رَزَقَنِىْ رَبِّىْ بِاللهِ الْوَاحِدِ الصَّمَدِ الَّذِىْ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُوْلَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ وَاُعِيْذُ نَفْسِىْ وَمَا رَزَقَنِىْ رَبِّىْ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَمِنْ شِرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِى الْعُقَدِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ وَاُعِيْذُ نَفْسِىْ وَمَا رَزَقَنِىْ رَبِّىْ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ اِلٰهِ النَّاسِ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ الَّذِىْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِىْ صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ۔
- Transliteration: O’EEZO NAFSEE WA MAA RAZA-QANEE RABBI BILLAA-HIL WAAHE-DIS SAMA-DIL LAZEE LAM YALID WA LAM YOOLAD WA LAM YA-KUN LAHU KOFO-WAN AHA-DOON WA O’EEZO NAFSEE WA MAA RAZA-QANEE RABBI BE-RABBIL FALAQE MIN SHARRE MAA KHALA-QA WA MIN SHARRE GHAASE-QIN EZAA WAQAB WA MIN SHARRIN NAFFAA-SAATE FIL ‘O-QADE WA MIN SHARRE HAASE-DIN IZAA HASADA WA O’EEZO NAFSEE WA MAA RAZA-QANEE RABBI BE-RABBIN NAASE MALE-KIN NAASE ILAA-HIN-NAASE MIN SHARRIL WASWAA-SIL KHANNAA-SIL LAZEE YO-WAS-WESO FEE SODOO-RIN NAASE MINAL JINNATE WANNAASE.
- English: I seek for myself, my religion, my family members, my possessions, my descendants, my brethren-in-faith, all sustenance that my Lord has provided to me as sustenance, the results of my deeds, and whomever I may concern about, (I seek for all these) the protection of Allah, the Single, the One, and the eternally Besought of all Who begets not, nor is He begotten; and the like of Whom there is none. And [I seek the protection of] the Lord of the dawn from the evil of what He has created, the evil of the utterly dark night when it comes, the evil of those who blow on knots, and the evil of the envious when he envies. And [I seek the protection of] the Lord of men, the King of men, the God of men, from the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Satan), who whispers into the hearts of men from among the jinn and the men.
- Urdu: ميں نے اپنی جان اورخدا سے ملی نعمتوں کو پناه خدا ميں ديا وه واحد و بے نيازجس نے نہ کسی کو جنا نہ وه جنا گيا اور نہ کوئی اس کا ہم پلا ہے، ميں نے اپنی جان اور خدا سے ملی نعمتوں کوصبح کرنے والے ربّ کی پناه ميں ديا اس کی مخلوق کے شر سے اور تاريکی کے شر سے جب وه چھاجائے گانٹھوں پر پھونک نے واليوں کے شر سے حاسدکے شرسے جب وه حسد کرے، ميں نے اپنی جان اور خدا سے ملی نعمتوں کو انسانوں کے ربّ کی پناه ميں ديا جو انسانوں کا بادشاه اور معبود ہے، گھات لگانے وسوسے ڈال نے والے کے شرسے جو انسانوں کے دلوں ميں وسوسے ڈالتاہے وه جنوں سے يا انسانوں سے ہو۔

- Arabic: اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
- Transliteration: ALLAHUMMA SWALLE ALAA MUHAMMADIW WA AALE MUHAMMADIN
- English: Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
- Urdu: اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
