## About this text

A text for skin ailments, kept among those written and carried as a taweez.

It is Qur’an rather than petition: the parable of the evil word as an evil tree torn from the earth with no stability, and the verse of the earth itself — “From it We created you, and into it We shall return you, and from it We shall bring you forth a second time” — followed by the reminder that Allah is the Most Great and remains, while those who do not glorify His greatness do not.

It is recited, or written and carried, alongside medical treatment rather than in place of it.

## Text

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيْثَةٍ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبِيْثَةِ اجْتُثَّتْ مِنْ فَوْقِ الْاَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِنْ قَرَارٍ مِنْهَا خَلَقْنٰكُمْ وَفِيْهَا نُعِيْدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً اُخْرٰى اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ وَاَنْتَ لَاتُكَبَّرُ اَللهُ يَبْقٰى وَاَنْتَ لَاتَبْقٰى وَاللهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ۔
- Transliteration: WA MASALO KALE-MATIN KHABEE-SATIN KA-SHAJA-RATIN KHABEE-SATE-NIJ TUSSAT MIN FAW-QIL ARZE MAA LAHAA MIN QARAA-RIN MINHAA KHALAQ-NAA-KUM WA FEEHAA NO-E’EDO-KUM WA MINHAA NUKH-REJO-KUM TAA-RATAN UKHRAA. ALLAAHO AKBARO WA ANTA LAA-TOKAB-BARO ALLAAHO YABQAA WA ANTA LAA TABQAA WAL LAAHO A’LAA KULLE SHAIY-IN QADEERUN.
- English: And the parable of an evil word is as an evil tree pulled up from the earth’s surface; it has no stability.” “From it, We created you and into it, We shall send you back, and from it, will We raise you a second time.” Allah is the Most Great, but you do not glorify His greatness. Allah shall remain forever, but you do not remain forever. Allah has power over all things.
- Urdu: خدا کے نام سے جو بڑا رحم والا مہربان ہے اور کلمۂ خبیثہ کی مثال شجرۂ خبیثہ جیسی ہے کہ جس کی جڑ زمین کے اوپر ہوتی ہے اور اس لئے وہ محکم اور بر قرار نہیں ہے ہم نے تمہیں زمین سے پیدا کیا اور اسی میں پلٹائیں گے۔ اور اسی میں سے دوبارہ تمہیں نکالیں گے اللہ بزرگ تر ہے اور تو بڑائی والی نہیں خدا باقی رہے گا اور تو باقی رہنے والی نہیں اور اللہ ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے۔
