# Merits of Dua-e-Nudbah

- Instruction: Sadr Al-Islam Hamdani (may Allah elevate his position) in the book " Takalifil Anam" said: among the virtues of supplication of Nudbah is that anywhere it is recited with full sincerity and tranquility with attention to its exalted meaning, it necessitates the attraction of the leader of the time's providence (may our souls be sacrifice for him) to that place and it may even prompt the presence of the Imam over there (may our souls be sacrifice for him) as it happens in some places.
- Instruction (Urdu): صدر الاسلام ہمدانی کتاب تکالیف الانام میں کہتے ہیں دعائے ندبہ پڑھنے کی خاصیت یہ ہے اگر اس دعا شریف کو ہر جگہ حضور قلب اخلاص کامل مضامین پر توجہ دیتے ہوئے پڑھے حضرت صاحب العصر کی خاص توجہ اس مکان اور محفل کی طرف ہوتی ہے بلکہ خود حضرت اس محفل میں حاضر ہوجاتے ہیں چنانچہ بعض موارد اور محافل میں ایسا اتفاق ہوا ہے۔

- Instruction: Ayatullah Sheikh Ali Akbar Nahawandi writes in this book Al Abqariyyul Hisaan that: I saw in the writings of Haj Sheikh Mahdi, who narrated from the book of Syed Jawad one of the reliable prayer leaders of Isfahan who possessed great spiritual positions and the heavens did not cast shadow upon a person more truthful than him such was written on it that: The village Salihabaad was owned by me and few of my partners. A group of people decided to forcibly take the village from us and sent a group of men towards us. How much ever we spoke to them, it did not benefit us anyhow. I wrote a letter (Areeza) to Imam Mahdi (a) and dropped it in the river, then went towards Takht e Fawlaad and recited the supplication of Nudba entreating and weeping, and repeated the verse (O son of Ahmad, is there a path towards you through which we can meet you) several times. At once, I heard the voice of a horse's foot and saw an Arab horse-rider coming towards me, he gazed at me and vanished from my sight. My heart felt relaxed on witnessing him and I felt relieved that my work will be done. The next night, my work was completed in the best manner. I have witnessed his holiness several times in my dreams and he appears in the same features.
- Instruction (Urdu): علامہ محقق شیخ علی اکبر نھاوندی کتاب العبقریہ الحسان میں کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حجة الاسلام آقائے حاج شیخ مھدی کو دیکھا کہ اس نے سید جواد مرحوم کی کتاب سے نقل کیا تھا وہ اس کے مولف کے بارے میں کہتے ہیں کہ وہ مرحوم اصفہان کے ائمہ جماعت میں سے تھے جو قابل اطمینان تھے وہ بہت عالی مقام رکھتا تھا سچ بولنے والوں میں سے تھا۔ (وما اظلّت الخضراء علی اصدق لھجة منہ) وہ اس کتاب میں لکھتے ہیں ہم چند آدمی ایک دیہات میں رہتے تھے کہ جس کا نام صالح آباد تھا وہاں کے چند آدمی وہ جگہ غصب کر کے ہمارے ہاتھ سے چھیننا چاہتے تھے اس لئے کچھ لوگ غصب کرنے کے لئے وہاں آئے ہم نے اس بارے میں مذاکرات کئے لیکن کوئی نتیجہ برآمد نہیں ہوا میں نے ایک عریضہ امام زمانہ کے نام لکھا اور اس کو نہر میں ڈال دیا اور تخت فولاد جا کر ایک خرابہ میں تضرع اور دعائے ندبہ پڑھنے میں مشغول ہوا بار بار کہتا تھا ھل الیک یابن احمد سبیل فتلقیٰ اے فرزند پیغمبر کیا تمہاری طرف کوئی راستہ ہے تا کہ میں تمہاری ملاقات کروں اچانک میں نے گھوڑے کی ٹاپوں کی آواز سنی تو میں نے دیکھا کہ ایک عرب سفید و سیاہ گھوڑے پر سوار ہے انہوں نے میری طرف نگاہ کی اور غائب ہوئے اس کو دیکھ کر دل کو اطمینان ہوا کہ اب میری مشکل حل ہوگی۔ اگلی رات میں میرا کام ٹھیک ہوا میں بار بار حضرت کو خواب میں دیکھتا تھا اور حضرت کا قیافہ اور شکل وہی تھی کہ جو بیداری کی حالت میں دیکھا تھا۔

- Instruction: Sayyid Reza, one of the authentic and reliable clerics of Isfahan, says: Due to immense liabilities and poverty, I turned towards the dead ones and asked Allah to forgive two hundred people from them and recalled them with their names. Then I recalled Imam Mahdi (a) and recited a few verses of the supplication of Nudba, like (O son of Ahmad, is there a path towards you through which we can meet you); while reciting it, a special light began to glow in the entire room which was brighter than sunlight, and on the same day, I attained complete relief.
- Instruction (Urdu): اسی طرح جناب آقائے سید رضا کہ جو اصفہان کے قابل وثوق علماء میں سے ہے وہ کہتاہے کہ زیادہ مقروض اور فقر و فاقہ کی وجہ سے مردوں کو اپنا وسیلہ قرار دیا تقریباً دو سو مرحومین کا نام لیکر طلب مغفرت کی ان کے بعد امام عصر کو اپنا وسیلہ قرار دیا دعائے ندبہ کے چند فقرات کوپڑھا جیسے ھل الیک یابن احمد سبیل فتلقی۔ اچانک ایک کمرہ کو دیکھا کہ اس سے ایک مخصوص نور نکلتا تھا اسی دن میری مشکل حل ہوئی۔

- Instruction: Muhaddis-e-Noori says: Agha Mohammad a reliable, just, trustworthy person who lives in the neighborhood of the shrines of Imam Askari and Imam Naqi (a) I heard from his mother who was a pious and god-fearing woman that: One day, I visited the holy Sardaab along with the family of Maula Salmasi. He was reciting the supplication of Nudba and we were also reciting along with him. He was weeping like a sorrowful, astonished and depressed person, and mourned like the entangled ones. We were also weeping along with him and there was no one there except for us. We were in the same state when the scent of musk filled in the Sardaab and perfumed the atmosphere of Sardaab completely. The smell became so strong that our prior state ceased to exist and we were all dumbfounded. As if a bird was sitting on our heads and we could not move or utter a word. We remained perplexed and astonished until a short span of time passed and that smell vanished bringing us back to the prior state, then we continued with the remaining supplication. When we returned home, we asked Agha about the musk smell. He hesitated in replying and said: What have you got to do with this question? and refrained from answering me. My brother, the chosen one, the loyal cleric, the illuminating lamp for the path of spiritual wayfarers and worshippers, Agha Ali Reza Isfahani gave me this answer: I asked this same Agha about his meeting with Imam Mahdi (a), as I was of the belief that he would have met with the Imam (a) like his mentor Sayyid Bahrul Uloom, he narrated the same incident word by word for me. All praises be to Allah, in the beginning and at the end.
- Instruction (Urdu): محدث جلیل القدر مرحوم نوری کہتے ہیں کہ آقا محمد سامرہ شہر میں زندگی گزارتے تھے وہ شخص عادل امین اور اطمینان کا باعث تھا اس کی ماں نیک اور عابدہ تھی اس نے بتایا کہ میری ماں کہتی تھی کہ جمعہ کے دن مرحوم مولیٰ میرزا محمد علی قزوینی کے ہمراہ تہہ خانے میں تھا مرحوم مولیٰ دعائے ندبہ پڑھتا تھا اور ہم بھی اس کے ہمراہ دعا پڑھنے میں مشغول تھے غمگین دل کے ساتھ جیسے کوئی عاشق اور حیران روتاہے جیسے ستم دیدہ نالہ و فریاد کرتاہے ہم بھی اس کے ساتھ روتے تھے تہہ خانہ خالی تھا ہمارے علاوہ کوئی اور وہاں پر موجود نہیں تھا اسی حالت میں تھے کہ اچانک کستوری کی خوشبو تہہ خانے میں پھیلی اور اس کی فضا کو معطر کیا اس کی خوشبو نے اس محفل کو اس قدر معطر کیا اور ہم سب اس حالت میں جو تھے وہاں سے باہر نکلے ہم سب اس شخص کی طرح جس کے سر پر پرندہ ہو خاموش ہوگئے حرکت کرنے اور بات کرنے کی ہمت نہیں تھی تھوڑی دیر حیران و پریشان رہ گئے یہاں تک کہ وہ معطر خوشبو کہ جس کو سونگھتے تھے وہ ختم ہوگئی ہم سب دعا کی حالت میں لوٹے جب ہم گھر واپس لوٹے تو مولیٰ سے اس عطر اور خوشبو کے بارے میں پوچھا مولیٰ نے کہا تمہیں اس سے کیا کام ہے اور اس نے کوئی جواب نہیں دیا برادر بزرگوار آقائے علی رضا اصفہانی نے مجھے بتایا اور کہا کہ ایک دن میں نے میرزا محمد علی قزوینی سے امام زمانہ سے ملاقات کے بارے میں پوچھا میرا گمان یہ تھا کہ یہ بھی اپنے بزرگ استاد سید بحرالعلوم کی طرح آخری حجت سے ملاقات کرتے ہیں انہوں نے اس واقعہ کو اسی طرح میرے لئے بیان کیا۔
