# Merits of Surah Qadr

- Instruction: Kaf’ami and others have reported Imam Baqir (a) to have said, “He who recites [Surah Qadr](https://fzic.org/library/quran/97-qadr-5-1170) 10 times after the Dawn Prayers, 10 times at middays, and 10 times after afternoons will tire out 2000 writers (of rewards) for 30 years. Imam Baqir (a) is also reported to have said, “Whenever a servant (of Allah) recites [Surah Qadr](https://fzic.org/library/quran/97-qadr-5-1170) 7 times after dawning, a line of angels will invoke blessings and mercy upon him, each 70 times.” Imam Muhammad Taqi (a) is reported to have mentioned abundant rewards for one who recites [Surah Qadr](https://fzic.org/library/quran/97-qadr-5-1170) 76 times a day; 7 times before the Dawn Prayer and 7 times after it, 7 times before the supererogatory prayer of midday and 21 times after it, 10 times after the Afternoon (Asr) Prayer, 7 times after the Evening (Isha) Prayer, and 11 times when going to bed. One of these rewards is that Almighty Allah will create 1000 angels to record the rewards of this act for 36000 years.
- Instruction (Urdu): کفعمیؒ اور ديگر علماء نے امام محمد باقرؑ سے روايت کی ہے کہ جو شخص نماز فجر کے بعد زوال آفتاب کے وقت اور بعد از عصر۱۰۔۱۰ مرتبہ [سورۂ قدر](https://fzic.org/library/quran/97-qadr-5-1170) پڑھے تو اس کا ثواب لکھنے والے ۳۰ سال تک مشقت میں پڑے رہيں گے نيز آنجنابؑ ہی سے مروی ہے کہ جو شخص اس سوره کو طلوع فجر کے بعد ۷ مرتبہ پڑھے تو اس کے ليے فرشتوں کی ۷۰ صفيں ۷۰ مرتبہ صلوات پڑھتی ہيں اور ۷۰ مرتبہ اس کے ليے رحمت طلب کرتی ہيں۔ امام محمد تقیؑ سے اس شخص کے ليے بہت زياده ثواب منقول ہے جو دن رات ميں ۷۶ مرتبہ [سورۂ قدر](https://fzic.org/library/quran/97-qadr-5-1170) پڑھے اور اس کی ترتيب يوں ہے: طلوع فجر کے بعد اور نماز فجر سے پہلے ۷ مرتبہ، نماز فجر کے بعد ۱۰ مرتبہ زوال آفتاب کے بعد اور نافلہ ظہر سے پہلے ۱۰ مرتبہ ، نافلہ ظہر کے بعد ۲۱ مرتبہ،نماز عصر کے بعد ۱۰ مرتبہ، نماز عشاء کے بعد ۷ مرتبہ اور سونے کے وقت ۱۱ مرتبہ، اس کے جملہ ثواب میں سے يہ بھی ہے کہ الله تعالیٰ ۱۰۰۰ فرشتے خلق فرماتا ہے جو اس شخص کے ليے ۳۶۰۰۰ سال تک اس عمل کا ثواب لکھتے رہتے ہيں۔
