When you wake up at night, it is recommended to prostrate yourself before Almighty Allah. It is recommended that you say the following doxology during or after the prostration… - Instruction (Urdu): نماز تہجد کی کيفيت نہايت ہی آسان ہے کہ جسے ہر شخص بجالا سکتا ہے اور وه يہ ہے کہ جوں ہی نيند سے بيدار ہوتو خدا کے لئے سر سجدے میں رکھ دے، بہتر ہے کہ اسی حال میں يا سجدے سے سر اٹھاتے وقت يہ دعا پڑھے۔۔۔ - Arabic: اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِىْ اَحْيَانِىْ بَعْدَ مَا اَمَاتَنِىْ وَاِلَيْهِ النُّشُوْرُ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِىْ رَدَّ عَلَىَّ رُوْحِىْ لِاَحْمَدَهٗ وَاَعْبُدَهٗ۔ - Transliteration: AL-HAMDO LILLAA-HIL LAZEE AH-YAA-NEE BA’DA MAA AMAA-TANEE WA ILAIY-HIN NO-SHOORO. AL-HAMDO LILLAA-HIL LAZEE RADDA ‘ALAIYYA ROOHEE LE-AH-MADAHU WA A’BODAH. - English: All praise is for Allah who gave me life after He caused me to die, and to Him is the resurrection. All praise is for Allah who returned my soul to me so that I may praise Him and worship Him. - Urdu: خدا کے ليے حمد ہے جس نے مجھ کو موت کے بعد زندگی دی ہے اور اسی کے یہاں حاضر ہونا ہے، خدا کے ليے حمد ہے جس نے ميری روح پلٹائی کہ اس کی حمد و عبادت کروں۔ - Instruction: When you get up and stand up, say the following supplication… - Instruction (Urdu): پس جب اٹھ کر کھڑا ہوجائے تو يہ دعا پڑھے۔۔۔ - Arabic: اَللّٰهُمَّ اَعِنِّىْ عَلٰى هَوْلِ الْمُطَّلَعِ وَ وَسِّعْ عَلَىَّ الْمَضْجَعَ وَارْزُقْنِىْ خَيْرَمَا بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ۔ - Transliteration: ALLAAHUMMA A’INNEE ‘ALAA HAWLIL MUTTALA’E WA WASSE’ ‘ALAIY-YAL MAZJA’A WAR-ZUQNEE KHAIRA-MAA BA’DAL MAUT. - English: O Allah, help me in the terror of the grave’s first sight (the moment of entering it), make my resting place spacious, and grant me the best of what comes after death. - Urdu: اے معبود! قيامت کے پر خوف منظر ميں ميری مدد فرما ميری قبر ميں فراخی کر دے اور مجھے مرنے کے بعد بھلائی عطا فرما۔ - Instruction: When you hear the sounds of roosters, say the following… - Instruction (Urdu): جب مرغ کی اذان سنے تو کہے۔۔۔ - Arabic: سُبُّوْحٌ قُدُّوْسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلَاۗئِكَةِ وَالرُّوْحِ سَبَقَتْ رَحْمَتُكَ غَضَبَكَ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ عَمِلْتُ سُوَّءً وَظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِىْ فَاغْفِرْلِىْ اِنَّهٗ لَايَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ فَتُبْ عَلَىَّ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ۔ - Transliteration: SUBBOO-HOON QUDDOO-SOON RABBUL MALAA-E-KATE WARROO-HE SABA-QAT RAH-MATO-KA GHAZA-BAKA LAA ILAAHA ILLAA ANTA ‘A-MILTO SOOWA-AN WA ZALAM-TO NAFSEE FAGH-FIRLEE INNA-HU LAA YAGH-FEROOZ ZONOO-BA ILLAA ANTA FA-TUB ‘ALAIYYA INNA-KA ANTAT TAWWAA-BUR RAHEEM. - English: All-Glorious, All-Holy Lord of the angels and the Spirit. Your mercy has outstripped Your wrath. There is no god but You. I have done wrong and I have wronged myself, so forgive me for none forgives sins except You. So accept my repentance; surely You are the Ever-Relenting, the Most Merciful. - Urdu: بڑا پاک و پاکيزه ہے ملائکہ اور روح کا پروردگار، خدايا! تيری رحمت تيرے غضب سے آگے ہے، نہيں کوئی معبود سواے تيرے، میں نے برائی اور خود پر ستم کيا ہے پس مجھے بخش دے کہ تيرے سوا گناہوں کا بخشنے والا کوئی نہيں، ميری توبہ قبول کر کہ يقينًا تو بڑا ہی تو بہ قبول کرنے والا ہے۔ - Instruction: When you raise your sight towards the sky, say the following supplication… - Instruction (Urdu): جب آسمان کی طرف ديکھے تو کہے۔۔۔ - Arabic: اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّهٗ لَايُوَارِىْ مِنْكَ لَيْلٌ سَاجٍ وَلَاسَمَاۗءٌ ذَاتُ اَبْرَاجٍ وَلَا اَرْضٌ ذَاتُ مِهَادٍ وَلَاظُلُمَاتٌ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ وَلَا بَحْرٌ لُجِّىُّ تُدْلِجُ بَيْنَ يَدَىِ الْمُدْلِجِ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ تُدْلِجُ الرَّحْمَةَ عَلٰى مَنْ تَشَاۗءُ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ تَعْلَمُ خَاۗئِنَةَ الْاَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِى الصُّدُوْرُ غارَتِ النُّجُوْمُ وَنَامَتِ الْعُيُوْنُ وَاَنْتَ الْحَىُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ لَا تَاْخُذُكَ سِنَةٌ وَلَانَوْمٌ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ وَاِلٰهِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ۔ - Transliteration: ALLAAHUMMA INNAHU LAA YO-WAAREE MINKA LAIY-LOON SAA-JIN WA LAA SAMAAA-OON ZAATO AB-RAAJIN WA LAA AR-ZOON ZAATO MEHAA-DIN WA LAA ZOLOMAA-TOON BA’ZOHAA FAWQA BA’ZIN WA LAA BAHROON LUJ-JIYYO TUD-LEJO BAIYNA YADA-YIL MUD-LEJE MIN KHALQE-KA TUDLE-JUR RAHMATA ‘ALAA MAN TASHAAA-O MIN KHALQE-KA TA’LAMO KHAAA-E-NATAL A’YONE WA MAA TUKH-FIS SODOO-RO GHAARA-TIN NOJOO-MO WA NAA-MA-TIL ‘OYOO-NO WA ANTAL HAIYYUL QAYYOO-MO LAA TA-KHOZO-KA SENA-TOON WA LAA NAWMOON SUBHAA-NAL LAAHE RABBIL ‘AALA-MEENA WA ILAA-HIL MURSA-LEENA WAL HAMDO LILLAAHE RABBIL ‘AALA-MEEN. - English: O Allah, no dark night can hide anything from You; nor a sky filled with constellations, nor an earth spread out like a cradle, nor layers of darkness one above another, nor a deep, vast sea through which a traveler moves in the night from among Your creation. You send forth mercy upon whom You will from Your creation. You know the treachery of the eyes and what the chests conceal. The stars have faded, eyes have fallen asleep, yet You are the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes You. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the worlds and God of the messengers. And all praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds. - Urdu: اے معبود! تاريک رات تجھ سے کچھ بھی نہيں چھپا سکتی نہ بر جوں والا آسمان اور نہ پھيلی ہوئی زمین نہ ہی تاريکيوں کے تلے اوپر تہيں تجھ سے کچھ چھپا سکتی ہيں نہ موجيں مارتا ہوا سمندر جو راتوں کو چلنے والوں کے سام نے پھر جاتا ہے تو اپنی مخلوق میں سے جسے چاہتا ہے رحمت سے نوازتا ہے تو آنکھوں کی غلط حرکت کو جانتا ہے اور سينوں میں چھپے راز دل کو بھی، خدايا! ستارے ڈوب گئے اور تو زنده پائنده ہے کہ تجھ کو نہ اونگھ آتی ہے نہ نيند گھيرتی ہے۔ الله پاک ہے جو جہانوں کا پروردگار ہے اور پيغمبروں کا معبود ہے اور حمد ہے الله کے ليے جو جہانوں کا رب ہے۔ - Instruction: After that, you may recite the following 5 Quranic verses of [Aale Imran (3: 190-194)](https://fzic.org/library/quran/inna-fi-khalkis-samaawaate-1192). - Instruction (Urdu): پھر سوره [آل عمران: ۱۹۰۔۱۹۴](https://fzic.org/library/quran/inna-fi-khalkis-samaawaate-1192) کی يہ پانچ آيات پڑھے۔ - Instruction: When you intend to take initiative to the night worship but you need to go to toilet, you may start with it. When you go out of toilet, cleanse your teeth with the traditional stick of Miswak.
