# Monday **Urdu title:** دُعاء روز پیر **Section:** Dua -- Fatima Zahra Imamia Centre devotional library **Page:** https://fzic.org/library/dua/monday-1421 ## Text - Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ - Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM - English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful. - Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ - Arabic: اَلْحَمْدُ لِلہِ الَّذِیْ لَمْ یُشْھِدْ اَحَدًا حِیْنَ فَطَرَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَلَااتَّخَذَ مُعِیْنًاحِیْنَ بَرَئَ النَّسَمَاتِ لَمْ یُشَارَکْ فِی الْاِلٰھِیَّۃِ وَلَمْ یُظَاھَرْ فِی الْوَحْدَانِیَّۃِ۔ - Transliteration: AL-HAMDO LILAA-HIL LAZEE LAM YUSH-HEDO AHA-DAN HEENA FATA-RAS SAMAA-WAATE WAL ARZA WA LAT TA-KHAZA MOEE’NAN HEENA BARA-AN NASA-MAATE LAM YOSHAA-RAK FIL ILAA-HIYYATE WA LAM YOZAA-HAR FIL WAHDAA NIYYATE. - English: (All) praise is for Allah (alone) who did not have (was not in in need of) any eye-witness when He created the heavens and the earth, did not choose for Himself an associate when He made ready and let go the "breathing beings" does not share, any one, in His Divinity; no one can ever wish to get at the bottom of or take hold of the secrets of (His) Oneness. - Urdu: خدا کے نام سے شر وع کر تا ہو ں جو بڑا مہر بان اور نہا یت ہی رحم کرنے وا لا ہے۔ حمد اس خدا کے لئے ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کرتے وقت کسی کو اپنے ساتھ نہیں ملایا اور جان داروں کو پیدا کرنے میں کسی سے مدد نہیں لی اس کے معبود ہونے میں کوئی شریک نہیں اور نہ اس کی یکتائی میں کوئی معاون (مددگار) ہے۔ - Arabic: کَلَّتِ الْاَلْسُنُ عَنْ غَایَۃِ صِفَتِہٖ وَالْعُقُوْلُ عَنْ کُنْہِ مَعْرِفَتِہٖ وَتَوَاضَعَتِ الْجَبَابِرَۃُ لِھَیْبَتِہٖ وَعَنَتِ الْوُجُوْہُ لِخَشْیَتِہٖ وَانْقَادَکُلُّ عَظِیْمٍ لِّعَظَمَتِہٖ فَلَکَ الْحَمْدُ مُتَوَاتِرًا مُّتَّسِقًا وَّمُتَوَالِیًا مُّسْتَوْثِقًا وَّصَلَوَاتُہٗ عَلٰی رَسُوْلِہٖ اَبَدًا وَّسَلَامُہٗ دَآئِمًا سَرْمَدًا۔ - Transliteration: KALLA-TIL SONO A’N GHAA-YATE SE-FATE-HI WAL O’QOO-LO A’N KUNHE MA’RE-FATE-HI WA TAWAA-ZA-A’TIL JABAA-BE-RATO LE-HAIY-BATE-HI WA A’NA-TIL WOJOO-HO LE-KHASH-YATE-HI WAN-QAADA KULLO A’ZEE-MIL LE-AZA-MATE-HI FA-LAKAL HAMDO MOTA-WAATE-RIM MUTTA-SE-QAM WA SALA-WAATO-HU A’LAA RASOOLE-HI ABA-DAN WA SALAAMO-HU DAAA-E-MAN SAR-MADAN. - English: Tongue tied and dumb founded become expression and style while trying to bring into view the gist of His attributes, reason and intellect bewilder, all amiss while making an effort to know "what He is". Deporting themselves with humility the proud and the powerful cringe and wince in awe of His majesty, their corrupt faces showing panicky embarrassment, in abject fear, and all the important arrogant cast a stealthy glance upon His greatness and bury their faces in shame. So (all) praise is for Thee (alone), following one another, continuous, without interruption, tied together; and His blessing be on His Messenger, for ever and ever, and His greetings till eternity and beyond. - Urdu: زبانیں اس کی تعریف کرنے سے قاصر ہیں اور عقلیں اس کی ذات کو سمجھنے سے عاجز ہیں اور بڑے بڑے سرکش اس کی ہیبت سے سرنگوں ہیں اور چہرے اس کے خوف سے جھکے ہوئے ہیں اور اس کی عظمت کے سامنے ہر عظیم اطاعت گزارہے پس تیرے لئے مسلسل حمد ہے لگاتار اور سلسلہ وار اور بار بار استوار اور اس کے رسولؐ پر دائمی رحمت اور سرمدی سلام ہو۔ - Arabic: اَللّٰھُمَّ اجْعَلْ اَوَّلَ یَوْمِیْ ھٰذَاصَلَاحًا وَّاَوْسَطَہٗ فَلَاحًاوَّاٰخِرَہٗ نَجَاحًا وَّاَعُوْذُبِکَ مِنْ یَوْمٍ اَوَّلُہٗ فَزَعٌ وَّاَوْسَطُہٗ جَزَعٌ وَّاٰخِرُہٗ وَجَعٌ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْتَغْفِرُکَ لِکُلِّ نَذْرٍ نَذَرْتُہٗ وَکُلِّ وَعْدٍ وَّعَدْتُہٗ وَکُلِّ عَھْدٍ عَاھَدْتُہٗ ثُمَّ لَمْ اَفِ بِہٖ۔ - Transliteration: ALLAAHUM-MAJ A’L AWWALA YAW-MEE HAAZAA SALAA-HAN WA AW-SATA-HU FALA-HAN WA AA-KHERA-HU NAJAA-HAN WA AOO’ZO-BEKA MIN YAW-MIN AWWALO-HU FAZA-O’ON WA AW-SATO-HU JAZA-O’ON WA AA-KHERO-HU WAJA-O’ON. ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-TAGH-FERO-KA LE-KULLE NAZRIN NAZAR-TOHU WA KULLE WA’DIN WA A’D-TAHU WA KULLE A’H-DIN A'AHAD-TAHU SUMMA LAM AFE BEHI. - English: O my Allah let me mend, improve and answer the purpose in the early part of this day, in the middle, work for my living and make progress, and in the end, succeed well. I take refuge with Thee, from the day whose beginning is full of apprehensions, midpoint is pregnant with anxiety and restlessness, and end is replete with pain and suffering, O my Allah! I seek Thy forgiveness, for every solemn pledge I made, for every promise I undertook to fulfil, and every obligation I stood security for, then did not make good any. - Urdu: اے معبود! میرے لئے آج کے دن کے پہلے حصے کو بھلائی، درمیانی حصے کو فائدہ بخش اور آخری حصے کو کامیابی کا حامل بنا دے اور اس دن سے تیری پناہ حاصل کرتا ہوں جس کا اول فریاد، اوسط بے تابی اور آخر تکلیف دہ ہو۔اے اﷲ!وہ نذریں جو میں نے کیں، وہ تمام وعدے جو میں نے کیے اور وہ ذمہ داریاں جو میں نے قبول کیں اور انہیں پورا نہیں کر سکا، ان پر تجھ سے بخشش کا طالب ہوں۔ - Arabic: وَاَسْئَلُکَ فِیْ مَظَالِمِ عِبَادِکَ عِنْدِیْ فَاَیُّمَا عَبْدٍمِّنْ عَبِیْدِکَ اَوْ اَمَۃٍ مِّنْ اِمَآئِکَ کَانَتْ لَہٗ قِبَلِیْ مَظْلِمَۃٌ ظَلَمْتُھَا اِیَّاہُ فِیْ نَفْسِہٖ اَوْفِیْ عِرْضِہٖ اَوْفِیْ مَالِہٖ اَوْفِیْ اَھْلِہٖ وَوَلَدِہٖ اَوْ غِیْبَۃٌ اِغْتَبْتُہٗ بِھَااَوْتَحَامُلٌ عَلَیْہِ بِمَیْلٍ اَوْھَوًی اَوْاَنَفَۃٍ اَوْ حَمِیَّۃٍ اَوْ رِیَآئٍ اَوْعَصَبِیَّۃٍ غَآئِبًا کَانَ اَوْشَاھِدًا وَحَیًّا کَانَ اَوْ مَیِّتًا فَقَصُرَتْ یَدِیْ وَضَاقَ وُسْعِیْ عَنْ رَّدِّھَا اِلَیْہِ وَالتَّحَلُّلِ مِنْہُ۔ - Transliteration: WA AS-ALOKA FEE MAZAA-LEME E’BAADE-KA I’N-DEE FA-AYYO-MAA A’B-DIN MIN A’BEE-DEKA AW AMA-TIM MIN IMAA-E-KA KAANAT LAHU QEBA-LEE MAZLE-MATOON ZALAM-TOHAA IYYAA-HO FEE NAFSE-HI AW-FEE I’R-ZEHI AW FEE MAALE-HI AW-FEE AHLE-HI WA WALA-DEHI AW GHEEBA-TOON IGH-TABTA-HU BE-HAA AW TAHAA-MOLOON A’LAIY-HE BE-MAIY-LIN AW HAWAN AW-ANA-FATIN AW HAMEE-YATIN GHAA-E-BAN KAANA AW SHAAHE-DAN WA HAYYAN KAANA AW MAYYE-TAN FA-QASO-RAT YA-DEE WA ZAAQA WUS-EE’ A’N RADDE-HAA ILAIY-HE WAT TA-HALLO-LE MIN-HO. - English: I beseech Thee (for forgiveness) in the matter of wrongs done to Thy servants by me. Whosoever among Thy male servants, or female servants, thinks that he or she did receive wrongful treatment from me, either with regard to his or her "self" or good fame, or property, or friends and family, or children; or by speaking evil of him or her in absence I had defamed the fair name; or treated harshly, and took liberties, out of bias and partiality, or lust and ambition, or contempt, or in the heat of emotions, or in bad faith, or in partisanship and fanaticism, (whether) he or she was absent, or present living, or dead; thereafter it was out of my hand, and beyond by means, to make restitution, and get release from the burden. - Urdu: اور تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ تیرے بندوں کے جو حقوق مجھ پر رہ گئے کہ تیرے بندوں میں سے کسی بندہ یا تیری کنیزوں میں سے کسی کنیز سے میں نے ناانصافی و زیادتی کی ہو۔چاہے وہ اس کی جان یا اس کی عزّت یا اس کے مال یا اس کے اعزّہ اور اولاد کے بارے میں ہے یامیں نے اس کی غیبت کی یا اپنی خواہش کے تحت ان پر دباؤ ڈالا یا خودپسندی یا بیزاری یا خودنمائی یا تعصب کا برتاؤ کیا وہ غائب ہے یا حاضر ہے۔ زندہ ہے یا مردہ ہے تو اب اس کا حق دینا یا معاف کرانا میری طاقت سے بالاتر اور دسترس سے باہر ہے۔ - Arabic: فَاَسْئَلُکَ یَامَنْ یَّمْلِکُ الْحَاجَاتِ وَھِیَ مُسْتَجِیْبَۃٌ لِّمَشِیَّتِہٖ وَمُسْرِعَۃٌ اِلٰی اِرَادَتِہٖ اَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاَنْ تُرْضِیَہٗ عَنِّیْ بِمَاشِئْتَ وَتَھَبَ لِیْ مِنْ عِنْدِکَ رَحْمَۃً اِنَّہٗ لَا تَنْقُصُکَ الْمَغْفِرَۃُ وَلَاتَضُرُّکَ الْمَوْھِبَۃُ یَااَرْحَمَ الرّٰحِمِیْنَ۔ - Transliteration: FA AS-ALOKA YAA MAN YAMLE-KUL HAAJA-TE WA HEYA MUSTA-JEE-BATOON LE-MASHEE-YATE-HI WA MUSRE-A’TOON ILAA IRAA-DATE-HI AN TO-SALLE-YA A’LAA MOHAMMA-DIW WA AALE MOHAMMADIN WA AN TUR-ZEYA-HU A’NNEE BE-MAA-SHE-TA WA TAHABA LEE MIN I’N-DEKA RAH-MATAN INNA-HU LAA TAN-QOSO-KAL MAGH-FERA-TO WA LAA TA-ZURRO-KAL MAW-HE-BATOON YAA AR-HAMAR RAAHE-MEEN. - English: I make a request to Thee. O He Who controls exclusively the prerogative to satisfy wants and desires, they come to call unto His direction, striving in speed towards His decisive dispensation, to send blessing on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad and make peace between me and him (or her), to what degree and in what manner Thou deems fit, and for me make a gift of Thy mercy, Verily Thou art never at a disadvantage because of forgiveness, nor Thou suffers loss due to doing favors, O The Most Merciful. - Urdu: پس اے حاجات کے مالک! کہ وہ حاجات تیری مشیت میں قبول ہیں اور جلد تیرے ارادے میں آنے والی ہیں میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ محمد ؐوآل محمدؑ پر رحمت فرما اور ان لوگوں کو جیسے تو چاہے مجھ سے راضی فرما اور مجھ پر مہربانی فرما۔ بے شک بخش دینے سے تیرا کوئی نقصان نہیں اور عطا کرنے میں تجھے کوئی ضرر نہیں ہوتا۔ اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے! - Arabic: اَللّٰھُمَّ اَوْلِنِیْ فِیْ کُلِّ یَوْمِ اِثنَیْنِ نِعْمَتَیْنِ مِنْکَ ثِنْتَیْنِ سَعَادَۃً فِیْ اَوَّلِہٖ بِطَاعَتِکَ وَنِعْمَۃً فِیْ آخِرِہٖ بِمَغْفِرَتِکَ یَامَنْ ھُوَالْاِلٰہُ وَلَایَغْفِرُالذُّنُوْبَ سِوَاہُ۔ - Transliteration: ALLAAHUMMA AW-LENEE FEE KULLE YAWME IS-NAIY-NE NE’MA-TAIY-NE MIN-KA SIN-TAIY-NE SA-AA’DATAN FEE AW-WALE-HI BE-TAA-A’TE-KA WA NE’MATAN FEE AA-KHERE-HI BE-MAGH-FERA-TEKA YAA MAN HOWAL-ILAA-HO WA LAA YAGH-FERUZ ZONOO-BA SEWAA-HO. - English: O Allah! give me on every Monday two gifts, peace of mind in the early part on account of obeying Thee in all matters, ease and comfort in the later part due to receiving Thy indulgence, O He Who is "ALLAH" (the One true God), except He no one (can) forgive sins. - Urdu: اے معبود! ہر سوموار [دوشنبہ] کو مجھے دونعمتیں اکٹھی عطا فرما کہ اس دن کے پہلے حصے میں مجھے اپنی اطاعت کی سعادت عنایت فرما اور اس کے دوسرے حصے میں مغفرت کی نعمت دے اے وہ جو معبود ہے اور جس کے سوا کوئی گناہ معاف کرنے والا نہیں۔ - Arabic: اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔ - Transliteration: ALLAHUMMA SWALLE ALAA MUHAMMADIW WA AALE MUHAMMADIN - English: Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny. - Urdu: اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔ --- Published by Fatima Zahra Imamia Centre, North Ipswich QLD, https://fzic.org.
