## About this text

The namaz kept for Masjid-e-Jamkaran, near Qum — the mosque the Shia tradition associates with Imam al-Mahdi (ajtf), where this prayer is offered by those who visit.

The page gives what is recited inside it: the tasbihat al-arba — glory be to Allah, all praise be to Allah, there is no god save Allah, Allah is the Greatest — and the verse of Surat al-Fatiha that the prayer dwells on, "You alone do we worship, and You alone do we ask for help".

The salaat itself is prayed in Arabic; the translation is given so the meaning is understood. Its manner and rakat count are a matter for the Centre's alim or the reader's marja.

## Text

- Arabic: سُبْحَانَ اللہِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلہِ وَلَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ وَاللہُ اَكْبَرُ۔
- Transliteration: SUBHAANALLAHE WAL HAMDO LILLAAHE WA-LA ILAAHA ILLALLAAHO WALLAAHO AKBAR.
- English: All glory be to Allah; all praise be to Allah; there is no god save Allah; Allah is the Greatest.
- Urdu: پاک ہے اﷲاور حمد اﷲہی کے لئے ہے اور اﷲکے سوا کوئی معبودنہیں اور اﷲبزرگ تر ہے۔

- Arabic: اِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَاِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِيْنُ۔
- Transliteration: IYYAAKA NA’BOODU WA IYYAAKA NASTAEEN.
- English: Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help.
- Urdu: تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہے اور تجھ ہی سے مدد طلب کرتے ہے۔
