- Instruction (Urdu): شیخ صدوق روایت کرتے ہیں دارم ابن قبیسہ سے کہ امام رضاؑ نے اپنے پدر بزرگوار امام موسی ابن جعفرؑ سے، اور انہوں نے اپنے والد سے، اور انکے والد نے اپنے آبا و اجداد سے، اور انہوں نے امام علی ابن ابی طالبؑ سے کہ جب اللہ کے رسولؐ نے نیا چاند دیکھا تو اس طرح سے کہا۔۔۔

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: اَيُّـهَا الْـخَلْقُ الْمُطِيْعُ الدَّآئِبُ السَّرِيْعُ الْمُتَصَرِّفُ فِيْ مَلَكُوْتِ الْـجَبَرُوْتِ بِالتَّقْدِيْرِ رَبِّيْ وَرَبُّكَ اللهُ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَهِلَّهٗ عَلَيْنَا بِالْاَمْنِ وَالْاِيْـمَانِ وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْاِسْلَامِ وَالْاِحْسَانِ وَكَمَا بَلَّغْتَنَا اَوَّلَهٗ فَبَلِّغْنَا آخِرَهٗ وَاجْعَلْهُ شَهْرًا مُبَارَكًا تَـمْحُوْ فِيْهِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَتَثْبُتُ لَنَا فِيْهِ الْـحَسَنَاتِ وَتَرْفَعُ لَنَا فِيْهِ الدَّرَجَاتِ يَا عَظِيْمَ الْـخَيْرَاتِ۔
- Transliteration: AYYOHAL KHALQUL MO-TEEO’D DAAA-EBUS SAREE-U’L MOTASARREFO FEE MALAKOOTIL JABAROOTE BITTAQDEERE RABBEE WA RABBOKAL LAAH. ALLAAHUMMA AHILLAHU A’LAYNAA BIL-AMNE WAL EEMAANE WAS SALAAMATE WAL ISLAAME WAL EHSAANE WA KAMAA BALLAGH-TANAA AWWALAHU FA-BALLIGHNAA AAKHERAHU WAJ A’LHO SHAHRAN MOBAARAKAN TAMHOO FEEHIS SAYYEAATE WA TASBOTO LANAA FEEHIL HASANAATE WA TAR-FA-O’ LANAA FEE-HID DARA-JAATE YAA A’ZEE-MAL KHAIRAAT.
- English: O the obedient creature that is in constant predestined motion in the vast heavens by destiny. Your Lord and my Lord is Allah. O Allah! Please make us see another new moon in security, safety, health, submission and goodness. Grant us a chance to see its end as you gave us enough life to see its beginning. Please establish it as a blessed month for us. Please remove our evil deeds and record good deeds instead. O the One with the greatest goodness! Please raise our ranks in this month.
- Urdu: اے وہ نئی چاند / مہینہ (یعنی ہلال) جو اللہ کے حکم کا فرمانبردار ہے، مسلسل چلنے والا ہے، تیزی سے گزرنے والا ہے، اور اللہ کی تقدیر کے مطابق اُس کے عظیم نظامِ کائنات میں گردش کرتا ہے میرا رب اور تیرا رب اللہ ہے۔ اے اللہ! اس (نئے مہینے) کو ہمارے لیے امن، ایمان، سلامتی، اسلام اور احسان کے ساتھ طلوع فرما۔ اور جیسے تُو نے ہمیں اس مہینے کا آغاز دکھایا ہے، ویسے ہی ہمیں اس کا اختتام بھی نصیب فرما۔ اور اسے ہمارے لیے ایک بابرکت مہینہ بنا دے  ایسا مہینہ کہ اس میں ہمارے گناہ مٹا دے، ہمارے لیے نیکیاں ثابت (لکھ) دے، اور ہمارے درجے بلند کر دے۔ اے بہت بڑی خیرات (بھلائیوں) والے!

- Arabic: اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
- Transliteration: ALLAHUMMA SWALLE ALAA MUHAMMADIW WA AALE MUHAMMADIN
- English: Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
- Urdu: اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
