- Instruction: Imam Sadiq (a) is reported to have said: He who feels hungry may do the ritual ablution (wudu’) and offer a 2 unit prayer, after which he may pray Almighty Allah, saying…
- Instruction (Urdu): امام جعفر صادقؑ  فرماتے ہيں کہ جو شخص بھوکا ہو تو اسے چاہيئے کہ وه وضوکر کے ۲ رکعت نماز اداکرے اور کہے۔۔۔

- Arabic: يَا رَبِّ اِنِّىْ جَاۗئِعٌ فَاَطْعِمْنِىْ۔
- Transliteration: YAA RABBE INNEE JAAA-E’OON FA-AT’IM-NEE.
- English: O Lord! I’m hungry please give me food.
- Urdu: پرور دگار! ميں بھوکا ہوں مجھے کھانا دے۔

- Instruction: According to another tradition, the supplication is as follows…
- Instruction (Urdu): ايک اور روايت کے مطابق يوں کہے۔۔۔

- Arabic: رَبِّ اَطْعِمْنِىْ فَاِنِّىْ جَاۗئِعٌ۔
- Transliteration: RABBE AT’IM-NEE FA-INNEE JAAA-E’OON.
- English: O Lord! Give me food as I’m hungry.
- Urdu: پروردگار! مجھے کھانا دے کہ میں بھوکا ہوں۔

- Instruction: If he does so, Almighty Allah will immediately give him food.
- Instruction (Urdu): اگر وہ ایسا کرے تو اللہ اس کو فورنًا خانا عطا فرمائےگا۔
