- Instruction: Shaikh Sadooq (r) narrates on the authority of Imam Reza (a) that he said: “The reason for offering prostration of gratitude after obligatory Namaz, is the Divine guidance bestowed by the Almighty Allah upon His servants for perform the obligation. - Instruction (Urdu): شیخ صدوق نے امام رضاؑ سے روایت کی ہے کہ امامؑ فرماتے ہے: واجب نماز کے بعد سجدہٴ شکر کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ اللہ تعالی نے تمہیں توفیق عطا کی کہ جس سے اُس کا بندہ واجبات کو انجام دے سکا، کم از کم سجدہ میں جا کر ۳ مرتبہ کہے۔۔۔

- Arabic: شُكْرًا لِلهِ۔
- Transliteration: SHUKRAN LIL-LAAHE.
- English: Thanks to Allah.
- Urdu: شکر ہے خدا کے لیے۔

- Instruction: When Imam Reza (a) was asked about the meaning of SHUKRAN LILLAAH, he (a) said: “This prostration is in the manner of Divine Blessing bestowed by the Sublime Lord so that one may serve Him and perform the obligations as ordered by Him. Thankfulness multiply the blessings. So if there is any abatement in the prayer, which could not be recovered the recommended Namaz, it is fulfilled by this prostration.”
- Instruction (Urdu): جب امام رضاؑ کو شکرًا للہ کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو فرمایا: یہ سجدہ اُس نعمتوں کے بدلے میں ہے جو رب نے اُس کو عطا کیا کہ جس سے وہ واجبات کو انجام دے سکا جو اس کے رب کی طرف سے حکم ہے۔ نعمتوں کا شکر نعمتوں میں اضافہ کرتا ہے۔ اگر نماز میں کوئی کمی رہ گئی ہے جس کی بھر پائی نوافل نماز سے پوری نہ ہو، تو اس سجدہٴ شکر سے مکمل ہو جائےگی۔
