# Protection from Fleas & Beasts

- Instruction: The companions of the Holy Prophet (s) are reported, in one of the military expeditions, to have complained to him about fleas that annoyed them. Instructing them, the Holy Prophet (s) said: When you go to sleep, you may say this supplicatory prayer…
- Instruction (Urdu): روایت نقل ہوئی ہے :کسی غزوہ میں  صحابۂ کرام نے آنحضرتؐ سے کھٹمل، پسو اور لال بیگ[کاکروچ] سے پہنچنے والی اذیت سے شکایت کی تو آپؐ نے فرما یا: رات کو سوتے وقت یہ دعا پڑھا کرو۔۔۔

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: اَيُّهَا الْاَسْوَدُ الْوَثَّابُ الَّذِىْ لَايُبَالِىْ غَلَقًا وَلَا بَابًا عَزَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ بِاُمِّ الْكِتَابِ اَنْ لَا تُؤْذِيَنىْ وَاَصْحَابِىْ اِلٰى اَنْ يَّذْهَبَ اللَّيْلُ وَيَجِيْءَ الصُّبْحُ بِمَا جَاۗءَ۔
- Transliteration: AYYO-HAL ASWA-DUL WASSAA-BUL LAZEE LAA YOBAA-LEE GHALA-QAN WA LAA BAA-BAN ‘AZAM-TO ‘ALAIY-KA BE-UMMIL KETAABE AN LAA TOZE-YANEE WA AS-HAABEE ILAA AN YAZ-HABAL LAIY-LO WA YAJEE-AS SUBHO BE-MAA JAAA-A.
- English: O black, leaping fleas that care for neither a lock nor a door, I adjure you in the name of the Mother of the Book not to annoy my companions and me until night terminates and morning comes carrying what it carries.
- Urdu: اے جھپٹنے وا لے سیا ہ کیڑ ے کہ جو نہ تالے سے اور نہ دروا زے سے ڈ رتا ہے میں  تجھے ام الکتا ب کی قسم دیتا ہوں کہ نہ مجھے اذیت دے اور نہ میرے اصحاب کواس وقت تک کہ رات چلی جائے اور صبح آ جائے کہ جس کے ساتھ صبح آ تی ہے۔

- Arabic: اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
- Transliteration: ALLAHUMMA SWALLE ALAA MUHAMMADIW WA AALE MUHAMMADIN
- English: Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
- Urdu: اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
