# Reciting 3 times before going to Sleep

## About this text

A single sentence recited three times at bedtime, kept among the duas for sleep: that He does what He wills, and rules what He wills, by His power.

It is the shortest kind of dhikr in the collection — not a request for anything, but a statement of Allah’s absolute disposal of affairs, said as the day is handed back to Him.

## Text

- Arabic: يِفْعَلَ اللهُ مَا يَشَاۗءُ بِقُدْرَتِهٖ وَيَحْكِمُ مَا يُرِيْدُ بِعِزَّتِهٖ۔
- Transliteration: YAF‘A-LAL LAAHO MAA YA-SHAAA-O BE-QUDRATE-HI WA YAH-KEMO MAA YO-REEDO BE‘IZZATE-HI.
- English: He does what HE wills and rule what HE wills by HIS power.
- Urdu: خدا جو چاہتا ہے اپنی قدرت سے انجام دتا ہے اور جو ارادہ ہو عزت سے اس کا حکم جاری کرتا ہے۔
