# Reciting Surah Ikhlaas while going to Sleep

## Text

- Instruction: Imam Ali (a) is also reported to have said that whoever recites [Surah Ikhlaas](https://fzic.org/library/quran/112-ikhlaas-4-1185) 3 times before going to sleep, Almighty Allah will order 50000 angels to guard him at that night.
- Instruction (Urdu): امیرالمومنینؑ ہی سے منقول ہے : جو شخص سوتے وقت ۳ مرتبہ [سورۂ اخلاص](https://fzic.org/library/quran/112-ikhlaas-4-1185) پڑھے گا تو اﷲ تعالیٰ اس کی حفاظت کے لیے ۵۰۰۰۰ فرشتے بھیجے گا جو رات بھر اس کی پاسبانی کرتے رہیں گے۔

- Instruction: Imam Sadiq (a) is likewise reported to have said, “Whoever spends a whole day on which he performs the 5 obligatory prayers without reciting [Surah Ikhlaas](https://fzic.org/library/quran/112-ikhlaas-4-1185) (Surah Tawheed), will not be counted as performer of prayers.” He (a) is also reported to have said, “Whoever spends a whole week without reciting Surah Ikhlaas and then dies, will die following the religion of Abu-Lahab.” He (a) is also reported as saying, “Whoever is afflicted by an ailment or a hardship but he does not recite Surah Ikhlaas during his ailment or hardship and then dies, he will be one of the inhabitants of Hellfire.”
- Instruction (Urdu): امام جعفر صادقؑ سے مروی ہے : جس شخص کا پورا دن گزر جائے اور وہ اپنی کسی بھی نماز میں [سورۂ اخلاص](https://fzic.org/library/quran/112-ikhlaas-4-1185) نہ پڑھے تو قیامت میں اس سے کہا جائے گا : اے بندے! تو نماز گذاروں میں سے نہیں تھا۔ انہی حضرتؑ سے منقول ہے : جو شخص ۷ دنوں میں سورۂ اخلاص (ایک مرتبہ بھی) نہ پڑھے اور مر جائے تو وہ ابو لہب کے دین پر مرے گا۔ آپؑ ہی سے روایت ہے :جو شخص کسی مرض یا کسی مصیبت میں مبتلا ہو اور اس وقت سورۂ اخلاص نہ پڑھے تو وہ اہل جہنم سے ہو گا۔
