## About this text

The passage on this page recounts the time Allah appointed with Musa of thirty nights, completed with ten more so that the appointed time of his Lord was forty nights, and what Musa said to his brother Haroun: to take his place among his people, to act well, and not to follow the way of the mischief-makers.

## Text

### PLEASE NOTE: Be it clear that the reason for presenting Translation is to understand Salaat and to recite in Arabic with concentration because reciting Salaat other than Arabic language (or Transliteration) is not correct.

- Arabic: وَوٰعَدْنَا مُوْسٰى ثَلٰثِيْنَ لَيْلَةً وَّاَتْمَمْنٰهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيْقَاتُ رَبِّهٖٓ اَرْبَعِيْنَ لَيْلَةً وَقَالَ مُوْسٰى لِاَخِيْهِ هٰرُوْنَ اخْلُفْنِيْ فِيْ قَوْمِيْ وَاَصْلِحْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيْلَ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WA WAA’ADNA MOOSA SALAASEENA LAILATANW WA AT MAMNAAHA BE’ASHRIM FATAMMA MEEQAATO RABBEHI ARBA’EENA LAILAH; WA QAALA MOOSA LE-AKHEEHE HAAROO-NAKH LUFNI FI QAWMI WA ASLEH WA LA TATTABE’ SABEELAL MUFSEDEEN.
- English: And We appointed with Musa a time of thirty nights and completed them with ten (more), so the appointed time of his Lord was complete forty nights, and Musa said to his brother Haroun: Take my place among my people, and act well and do not follow the way of the mischief-makers.
- Urdu: اور ہم نے موسٰیؑ سے تیس راتوں کا وعدہ لیا اور اسے دس مزید راتوں سے مکمل کردیا کہ اس طرح ان کے رب کا وعدہ چالیس راتوں کا وعدہ ہوگیا اور انہوں نے اپنے بھائی ہارونؑ سے کہا کہ تم قوم میں میری نیابت کرو اور اصلاح کرتے رہو اور خبردار مفسدوں کے راستہ کا اتباع نہ کرنا۔
