### Ghusl on touching dead body

- Instruction: The ghusl for touching a corpse is like the ghusl for Janaabat, and it suffices in place of Wuzu.
- Instruction (Urdu): غسل مس میت کا طریقہ وہی ہے جو غسل جنابت کا ہے اور وضو سے کفایت بھی کرے گا (یعنی وضو کی ضرورت نہیں ہے)۔

- Instruction: If someone touches ie. makes part of his body come into contact with the body of a dead person after it has become cold but before it has been given ghusl, he must perform the ghusl for touching a corpse, irrespective of whether he touches it while he is asleep or awake, voluntarily or involuntarily. Even if one’s nail or bone touches a nail or bone of the corpse, he must perform this ghusl. However, if one touches a dead animal, then performing ghusl is not obligatory on him.
- Instruction (Urdu): اگر کوئی شخص کسی ایسے مردہ انسان کے بدن کو چھوئے جو ٹھنڈاہو چکا ہو اور جسے غسل نہ دیا گیا ہو یعنی اپنے بدن کا کوئی حصہ اس سے لگائے تو اسے چاہئے کہ غسل مس میت کرے خواہ اس نے نیند کی حالت میں مردے کا بدن چھوا ہو یا بیداری کے عالم میں اور خواہ ارادی طور پر چھوا ہو یا غیر ارادی طور پر حتی کہ اگر اس کا ناخن یا ہڈی مردے کے ناخن یا ہڈی سے چھو جائے تب بھی اسے چاہئے کہ غسل کر ے لیکن اگر مردہ حیوان کو چھوئے تو اس پر غسل واجب نہیں ہے۔

- Instruction: Performing this ghusl is not obligatory for touching a deceased person whose entire body has not yet become cold, even if one touches a part that has become cold.
- Instruction (Urdu): جس مردے کا تمام بدن ٹھنڈا نہ ہوا ہو اسے چھونے سے غسل واجب نہیں ہوتا خواہ اس کے بدن کا جو حصہ چھوا ہو وہ ٹھنڈا ہو چکا ہو۔

- Instruction: If a person makes his hair touch a corpse, or if he makes his body touch the hair of a corpse, or if he makes his hair touch the hair of a corpse, then performing this ghusl is not obligatory on him.
- Instruction (Urdu): اگر کوئی شخص اپنے بال مردے کے بدن سے لگائے یا اپنا بدن مردے کے بالوں سے لگائے تو اس پر غسل واجب نہیں ہے۔

- Instruction: If a person touches a dead child or a foetus in which life has entered, then Ghusl for touching it will be obligatory. Hence, if a dead body of a still-born child whose body has become cold, comes in contact with the outer part of its mother's body, the mother should do Ghusl for touching the dead body. In fact, as an obligatory precaution, she should do Ghusl even if the child has not touched the outer part of her body.
- Instruction (Urdu): مردہ بچے کو چھونے پر حتی کہ ایسے سقط شدہ بچے کو چھونے پر جس کے بدن میں روح داخل ہو چکی ہو غسل مس میت واجب ہے اس بنا پر اگر مردہ بچہ پیدا ہو اور اس کا بدن ٹھنڈا ہو چکا ہو اور وہ ماں کے ظاہری حصے کو چھو جائے تو ماں کو چاہئے کہ غسل مس میت کرے بلکہ اگر ظاہری حصے کو مس نہ کرے تب بھی ماں کو چاہئے کہ احتیاط واجب کی بنا پر غسل مس میت کرے۔

- Instruction (Urdu): جو بچہ ماں کے مر جانے اور اس کا بدن ٹھنڈا ہو جانے کے بعد پیدا ہو اگر وہ ماں کے بدن کے ظاہری حصے کو مس کرے تو اس پر واجب ہے کہ جب بالغ ہو تو غسل مس میت کرے بلکہ اگر ماں کے بدن کے ظاہری حصے کو مس نہ کرے تب بھی احتیاط کی بنا پر ضروری ہے کہ وہ بچہ بالغ ہونے کے بعد غسل مس میت کرے۔

- Instruction: If a person touches a corpse that has been given the three ghusls completely, then performing this ghusl does not become obligatory on him. However, if one touches part of a corpse before the completion of the third ghusl, then even if that particular part of the corpse has been given the third ghusl, he must perform the ghusl for touching a corpse.
- Instruction (Urdu): اگر کوئی شخص ایک ایسی میت کو مس کرے جسے تین غسل مکمل طور پر دیئے جا چکے ہوں تو اس پر غسل مس میت واجب نہیں ہوتا، لیکن اگر وہ تیسراغسل مکمل ہونے سے پہلے اس کے بدن کے کسی حصے کو مس کرے تو خواہ اس حصے کو تیسرا غسل دیا جا چکا ہو اس شخص کے لئے غسل مس میت کرنا ضروری ہے۔

- Instruction: If an insane person or a minor touches a dead body, the insane person would do Ghusl when he becomes sane, and similarly the minor child would do Ghusl when he attains the age of puberty.
- Instruction (Urdu): اگر کوئی دیوانہ یا نا بالغ بچہ میت کو مس کرے تو دیوانے کو عاقل ہونے اور بچے کو بالغ ہونے کے بعد غسل مس میت کرنا ضروری ہے۔

- Instruction: If part of the body of a living person, or part of the body of a dead person who has not been given ghusl, becomes separated and one touches it before it is given ghusl, it is not necessary for him to perform the ghusl for touching a corpse even if the separated part contains a bone. However, if a corpse is cut into pieces and one touches all or most of them, then this ghusl becomes obligatory.
- Instruction (Urdu): اگر کسی زندہ شخص کے بدن سے یا کسی ایسے مردے کے بدن سے جسے غسل نہ دیا گیا ہو ایک حصہ جدا ہو جائے اور اس سے پہلے کہ جدا ہونے والے حصے کو غسل دیا جائے کوئی شخص اسے مس کر لے تو قول اقوی کی بنا پر اگر چہ اس حصے میں ہڈی ہو غسل مس میت کرنا ضروری نہیں۔

- Instruction: Performing this ghusl is not obligatory for touching a bone that has not been given ghusl and which has separated from a dead or a living person. Similarly, (performing this ghusl is not obligatory) for touching a tooth that has separated from a dead or a living person.
- Instruction (Urdu): ایک ایسی ہڈی کے مس کرنے سے جسے غسل نہ دیا گیا ہو خواہ وہ مردے کے بدن سے جدا ہوئی ہو یا زندہ شخص کے بدن سے غسل واجب نہیں ہے اور دانت خواہ وہ مردے کے بدن سے جدا ہوئے ہوں یا زندہ شخص کے بدن سے ان کے لئے بھی یہی حکم ہے۔

- Instruction: The method of doing Ghusl for touching the dead body is the same as of Ghusl for Janaabat. Hence the ghusl for touching a dead body suffices in place of wuzu and one can pray obligatory namaz without wuzu.
- Instruction (Urdu): غسل مس میت کا طریقہ وہی ہے جو غسل جنابت کا ہے تواگر کوئی اس غسل کے بعد واجب نماز پڑھنا چاہے تو وضو کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔

- Instruction: If a person touches a number of corpses, or if a person touches one corpse a number of times, then performing one ghusl is sufficient.
- Instruction (Urdu): اگر کوئی شخص کئی میتوں کو مس کرے یا ایک میت کو کئی بار مس کرے تو ایک غسل کافی ہے۔

- Instruction: There is no problem for someone who has touched a corpse but has not performed the ghusl for touching a corpse to stay in a mosque, or to have sexual intercourse with his wife, or to recite verses of the Qur’an that contain an obligatory sajdah. However, for prayers and suchlike, he must perform ghusl.
- Instruction (Urdu): جس شخص نے میت کو مس کرنے کے بعد غسل نہ کیا ہو اس کے لئے مسجد میں ٹھہرنا اور بیوی سے جماع کرنا اور ان آیات کا پڑھنا جن میں سجدہ واجب ہے ممنوع نہیں ہے لیکن نماز اور اس جیسی عبادت کے لئے غسل کرنا ضروری ہے۔
