### Opening (Makki)

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ
- Transliteration: ALHAMDU LILLAAHI RABBIL ’AALAMEEN.
- English: All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
- Urdu: ساری تعریف اللہ کے لئے ہے جو عالمین کا پالنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: اَلرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
- Transliteration: AR-RAHMAANIR-RAHEEM.
- English: The Beneficent, the Merciful.
- Urdu: وہ عظیم اور دائمی رحمتوں والا ہے۔

- Arabic: مٰلِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ
- Transliteration: MAALIKI YAWMID-DEEN.
- English: Master of the Day of Judgment.
- Urdu: روزِ قیامت کا مالک و مختار ہے۔

- Arabic: اِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَاِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِيْنُ۔
- Transliteration: IYYAAKA NA’BODO WA IYYAAKA NASTA’EEN.
- English: Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help.
- Urdu: پروردگار! ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں ا ور تجھی سے مدد چاہتے ہیں۔

- Arabic: اِهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيْمَ
- Transliteration: IHDINAS-SIRAATAL-MUSTAQEEM.
- English: Keep us on the right path.
- Urdu: ہمیں سیدھے راستہ کی ہدایت فرماتا رہ۔

- Arabic: صِرَاطَ الَّذِيْنَ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوْبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّاۗلِّيْنَ
- Transliteration: SIRAATAL-LAZEENA AN’AMTA ’ALAIHIM GHAYRIL-MAGHDOOBI ’ALAIHIM WA LAD-DAAALLEEN.
- English: The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray.
- Urdu: جو اُن لوگوں کا راستہ ہے جن پر تو نے نعمتیں نازل کی ہیں ان کا راستہ نہیں جن پر غضب نازل ہوا ہے یا جو بہکے ہوئے ہیں۔

- Transliteration: SADAQALLAHUL ALIYYUL AZEEM
- English: Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.
- Urdu: اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
