### Age (Makki)

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: وَالْعَصْرِ
- Transliteration: WAL ’ASR.
- English: I swear by the time
- Urdu: قسم ہے عصر کی۔

- Arabic: اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَفِيْ خُسْرٍ
- Transliteration: INNAL INSAANA LAFEE KHUSR.
- English: Most surely man is in loss
- Urdu: بے شک انسان خسارہ میں ہے۔

- Arabic: اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ
- Transliteration: ILLAL LAZEENA AAMANOO WA ’AMILUS SAALIHAATI WA TAWAASAW BILHAQQ; WA TAWAASAW BISSABR.
- English: Except those who believe and do good, and enjoin on each other truth, and enjoin on each other patience.
- Urdu: علاوہ ان لوگوں کے جو ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے نیک اعمال کئے اور ایک دوسرے کو حق اور صبر کی وصیت و نصیحت کی۔

- Transliteration: SADAQALLAHUL ALIYYUL AZEEM
- English: Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.
- Urdu: اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
