### Sent Forth (Makki)

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: وَالْمُرْسَلٰتِ عُرْفًا
- Transliteration: WAL MURSALAATI’URFAA.
- English: I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men’s benefit)
- Urdu: ان کی قسم جنہیں تسلسل کے ساتھ بھیجا گیا ہے۔

- Arabic: فَالْعٰصِفٰتِ عَصْفًا
- Transliteration: FAL’AASIFAATI ’ASFAA.
- English: By the raging hurricanes
- Urdu: پھر تیز رفتاری سے چلنے والی ہیں۔

- Arabic: وَالنّٰشِرٰتِ نَشْرًا
- Transliteration: WANNAASHIRAATI NASHRAA.
- English: Which scatter clouds to their destined places
- Urdu: اور قسم ہے ان کی جو اشیاء کو منتشر کرنے والی ہیں۔

- Arabic: فَالْفٰرِقٰتِ فَرْقًا
- Transliteration: FALFAARIQAATI FARQAA.
- English: Then separate them one from another
- Urdu: پھر انہیں آپس میں جدا کرنے والی ہیں۔

- Arabic: فَالْمُلْقِيٰتِ ذِكْرًا
- Transliteration: FALMULQIYAATI ZIKRA.
- English: Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation
- Urdu: پھر ذ کر کو نازل کرنے والی ہیں۔

- Arabic: عُذْرًا اَوْ نُذْرًا
- Transliteration: UZRAN AW NUZRAA.
- English: To clear or to warn.
- Urdu: تاکہ عذر تمام ہو یا خوف پیدا کرایا جائے۔

- Arabic: اِنَّمَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لَوَاقِعٌ
- Transliteration: INNAMAA TOO’ADOONA LAWAAQI’.
- English: Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass.
- Urdu: جس چیز کا تم سے وعدہ کیا گیا ہے وہ بہرحال واقع ہونے والی ہے۔

- Arabic: فَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ طُمِسَتْ
- Transliteration: FA IZAM NUJOOMU TUMISAT.
- English: So when the stars are made to lose their light
- Urdu: پھر جب ستاروں کی چمک ختم ہو جائے۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا السَّمَاۗءُ فُرِجَتْ
- Transliteration: WA IZAS SAMAAA’U FURIJAT.
- English: And when the heaven is rent asunder
- Urdu: اور آسمانوں میں شگاف پیدا ہو جائے۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
- Transliteration: WA IZAL JIBAALU NUSIFAT.
- English: And when the mountains are carried away as dust
- Urdu: اور جب پہاڑ اُڑنے لگیں۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا الرُّسُلُ اُقِّتَتْ
- Transliteration: WA IZAR RUSULU UQQITAT.
- English: And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time
- Urdu: اور جب سارے پیغمبر ایک وقت میں جمع کر لئے جائیں۔

- Arabic: لِاَيِّ يَوْمٍ اُجِّلَتْ
- Transliteration: LI AYYI YAWMIN UJJILAT.
- English: To what day is the doom fixed?
- Urdu: بھلا کس دن کے لئے ان باتوں میں تاخیر کی گئی ہے۔

- Arabic: لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ
- Transliteration: LI YAWMIL FASL.
- English: To the day of decision.
- Urdu: فیصلہ کے دن کے لئے۔

- Arabic: وَمَآ اَدْرٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ
- Transliteration: WA MAAA ADRAAKA MAA YAWMUL FASL.
- English: And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is?
- Urdu: اور آپ کیا جانیں کہ فیصلہ کا دن کیا ہے۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNY YAWMA ’IZILLILMUKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے جہنّم ہے۔

- Arabic: اَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ
- Transliteration: ALAM NUHLIKIL AWWALEEN.
- English: Did We not destroy the former generations?
- Urdu: کیا ہم نے ان کے پہلے والوں کو ہلاک نہیں کر دیا ہے۔

- Arabic: ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْاٰخِرِيْنَ
- Transliteration: SUMMA NUTBI’UHUMUL AAKHIREEN.
- English: Then did We follow them up with later ones.
- Urdu: پھر دوسرے لوگوں کو بھی ان ہی کے پیچھے لگا دیں گے۔

- Arabic: كَذٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِيْنَ
- Transliteration: KAZZALIKA NAF’ALU BILMUJRIMEEN.
- English: Even thus shall We deal with the guilty.
- Urdu: ہم مجرموں کے ساتھ اسی طرح کا برتاؤ کرتے ہیں۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNW YAWMA ’IZIL LIL MUKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: اور آج کے دن جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے بربادی ہی بربادی ہے۔

- Arabic: اَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاۗءٍ مَّهِيْنٍ
- Transliteration: ALAM NAKHLUKKUM MIMMAAA’IM MAHEEN.
- English: Did We not create you from contemptible water?
- Urdu: کیا ہم نے تم کو ایک حقیر پانی سے نہیں پیدا کیا ہے۔

- Arabic: فَجَعَلْنٰهُ فِيْ قَرَارٍ مَّكِيْنٍ
- Transliteration: FAJA’ALNAAHU FEE QARAARIM MAKEEN.
- English: Then We placed it in a secure resting-place
- Urdu: پھر اسے ایک محفوظ مقام پر قرار دیا ہے۔

- Arabic: اِلٰى قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍ
- Transliteration: ILLAA QADRIM MA’LOOM.
- English: Till an appointed term
- Urdu: ایک معین مقدار تک۔

- Arabic: فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقٰدِرُوْنَ
- Transliteration: FAQADARNAA FANI’MAL QAADIROON.
- English: So We proportion it- how well are We at proportioning (things).
- Urdu: پھر ہم نے اس کی مقدار معین کی ہے تو ہم بہترین مقدار مقرر کرنے والے ہیں۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNY YAWMA ’IZIL LILMUKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: آج کے دن جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے بربادی ہے۔

- Arabic: اَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْاَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
- Transliteration: ALAM NAJ’ALIL ARDA KIFAATAA.
- English: Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself
- Urdu: کیا ہم نے زمین کو ایک جمع کرنے والا ظرف نہیں بنایا ہے۔

- Arabic: اَحْيَاۗءً وَّاَمْوَاتًا
- Transliteration: AHYAAA’ANW WA AMWAATAA.
- English: The living and the dead
- Urdu: جس میں زندہ مردہ سب کو جمع کریں گے۔

- Arabic: وَجَعَلْنَا فِيْهَا رَوَاسِيَ شٰمِخٰتٍ وَّاَسْقَيْنٰكُم مَّاۗءً فُرَاتًا
- Transliteration: WA JA’ALNAA FEEHAA RAWAASIYA SHAAMIKHAATINW WA ASQAINAAKUM MAAA’AN FURAATAA.
- English: And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water?
- Urdu: اور اس میں اونچے اونچے پہاڑ قرار دئے ہیں اور تمہیں شیریں پانی سے سیراب کیا ہے۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNY YAWMA ’IZIL LILMUKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: آج جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے بربادی اور تباہی ہے۔

- Arabic: اِنْطَلِقُوْٓا اِلٰى مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ
- Transliteration: INTALIQOOO ILAA MAA KUNTUM BIHEE TUKAZZIBOON.
- English: Walk on to that which you called a lie.
- Urdu: جاؤ اس طرف جس کی تکذیب کیا کرتے تھے۔

- Arabic: اِنْطَلِقُوْٓا اِلٰى ظِلٍّ ذِيْ ثَلٰثِ شُعَبٍ
- Transliteration: INTALIQOOO ILAA ZILLIN ZEE SALAASI SHU’AB.
- English: Walk on to the covering having three branches
- Urdu: جاؤ اس دھوئیں کے سایہ کی طرف جس کے تین گوشے ہیں۔

- Arabic: لَا ظَلِيْلٍ وَّلَا يُغْنِيْ مِنَ اللَّهَبِ
- Transliteration: LAA ZALEELINW WA LAA YUGHNEE MINAL LAHAB.
- English: Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame.
- Urdu: نہ ٹھنڈک ہے اور نہ جہنّم کی لپٹ سے بچانے والا سہارا۔

- Arabic: اِنَّهَا تَرْمِيْ بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ
- Transliteration: INNAHAA TARMEE BISHARARIN KALQASR.
- English: Surely it sends up sparks like palaces
- Urdu: وہ ایسے انگارے پھینک رہا ہے جیسے کوئی محل۔

- Arabic: كَاَنَّهٗ جِمٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
- Transliteration: KA ANNAHOO JIMAALATUN SUFR.
- English: As if they were tawny camels.
- Urdu: جیسے زرد رنگ کے اونٹ۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNY YAWMA ’IZIL LILMUKAZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: آج کے دن جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے بربادی اور جہنّم ہے۔

- Arabic: هٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُوْنَ
- Transliteration: HAAZAA YAWMU LAA YANTIQOON.
- English: This is the day on which they shall not speak
- Urdu: آج کے دن یہ لوگ بات بھی نہ کر سکیں گے۔

- Arabic: وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُوْنَ
- Transliteration: WA LAA YU’ZANU LAHUM FA YA’TAZIROON.
- English: And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses.
- Urdu: اور نہ انہیں اس بات کی اجازت ہو گی کہ عذر پیش کر سکیں۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNW YAWMA ’IZIL LILMUKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: آج کے دن جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے جہنّم ہے۔

- Arabic: هٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنٰكُمْ وَالْاَوَّلِيْنَ
- Transliteration: HAAZA YAWMUL FASLI JAMA ’NAAKUM WAL AWWALEEN.
- English: This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore.
- Urdu: یہ فیصلہ کا دن ہے جس میں ہم نے تم کو اور تمام پہلے والوں کو اکٹھا کیا ہے۔

- Arabic: فَاِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيْدُوْنِ
- Transliteration: FA IN KAANA LAKUM KAIDUN FAKEEDOON.
- English: So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now).
- Urdu: اب اگر تمہارے پاس کوئی چال ہو تو ہم سے استعمال کرو۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNY YAWMA’IZIL LILMUKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: آج تکذیب کرنے والوں کے لئے جہنّم ہے۔

- Arabic: اِنَّ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ فِيْ ظِلٰلٍ وَّعُيُوْنٍ
- Transliteration: INNAL MUTTAQEENA FEE ZILAALINW WA ’UYOON.
- English: Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be amid shades and fountains
- Urdu: بےشک متقین گھنی چھاؤں اور چشموں کے درمیان ہوں گے۔

- Arabic: وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُوْنَ
- Transliteration: WA FAWAAKIHA MIMMAA YASHTAHOON.
- English: And fruits such as they desire.
- Urdu: اور ان کی خواہش کے مطابق میوے ہوں گے۔

- Arabic: كُلُوْا وَاشْرَبُوْا هَنِيْۗئًۢا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ
- Transliteration: KULOO WASHRABOO HANEEE ’AM BIMAA KUNTUM TA’MALOON.
- English: Eat and drink pleasantly because of what you did.
- Urdu: اب اطمینان سے کھاؤ پیو ان اعمال کی بنا پر جو تم نے انجام دیئے ہیں۔

- Arabic: اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ
- Transliteration: INNAA KAZAALIKA NAJZIL MUHSINEEN.
- English: Surely thus do We reward the doers of good.
- Urdu: ہم اسی طرح نیک عمل کرنے والوں کو بدلہ دیتے ہیں۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNY YAWMA ’IZIL LILMUZKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: آج جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے جہنّم ہے۔

- Arabic: كُلُوْا وَتَمَتَّعُوْا قَلِيْلًا اِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُوْنَ
- Transliteration: KULOO WA TAMATTA’OO QALEELAN INNAKUM MUJRIMOON.
- English: Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely you are guilty.
- Urdu: تم لوگ تھوڑے دنوں کھاؤ اور آرام کر لو کہ تم مجرم ہو۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNNY YAWMA ’IZIL LILMUKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: آج کے دن تکذیب کرنے والوں کے لئے ویل ہے۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوْا لَا يَرْكَعُوْنَ
- Transliteration: WA IZAA QEELA LAHUMUR KA’OO LAA YARKA’OON.
- English: And where it is said to them: Bow down, they do not bow down.
- Urdu: اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ رکوع کرو تو نہیں کرتے ہیں۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNNY YAWMA ’IZIL LILMUKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters.
- Urdu: تو آج کے دن جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے جہنّم ہے۔

- Arabic: فَبِاَيِّ حَدِيْثٍۢ بَعْدَهٗ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ
- Transliteration: FABI AYYI HADEESIM BA’DAHOO YU’MINOON.
- English: In what announcement, then, after it, will they believe?
- Urdu: آخر یہ لوگ اس کے بعد کس بات پر ایمان لے آئیں گے۔

- Transliteration: SADAQALLAHUL ALIYYUL AZEEM
- English: Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.
- Urdu: اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
