### Cleaving (Makki)

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: اِذَا السَّمَاۗءُ انْفَطَرَتْ
- Transliteration: IZAS SAMAAA’UN FATARAT.
- English: When the heaven becomes cleft asunder
- Urdu: جب آسمان شگافتہ ہو جائے گا۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ
- Transliteration: WA IZAL KAWAAKIBUN TASARAT.
- English: And when the stars become dispersed
- Urdu: اور جب ستارے بکھر جائیں گے۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
- Transliteration: WA IZAL BIHAARU FUJJIRAT.
- English: And when the seas are made to flow forth
- Urdu: اور جب دریا بہہ کر ایک دوسرے سے مل جائیں گے۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا الْقُبُوْرُ بُعْثِرَتْ
- Transliteration: WA IZAL QUBOORU BU’SIRAT.
- English: And when the graves are laid open
- Urdu: اور جب قبروں کو اُبھار دیا جائے گا۔

- Arabic: عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَاَخَّرَتْ
- Transliteration: ALIMAT NAFSUM MAA QADDAMAT WA AKHKHARAT.
- English: Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back.
- Urdu: تب ہر نفس کو معلوم ہو گا کہ کیا مقدم کیا ہے اور کیا موخر کیا ہے۔

- Arabic: يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيْمِ
- Transliteration: YAAA AYYUHAL INSAAANU MAA GHARRAKA BI RABBIKAL KAREEM.
- English: O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one
- Urdu: اے انسان تجھے ربِ کریم کے بارے میں کس شے نے دھوکہ میں رکھا ہے۔

- Arabic: اَلَّذِيْ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
- Transliteration: ALLAZEE KHALAQAKA FASAW WAAKA FA’ADALAK.
- English: Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical?
- Urdu: اس نے تجھے پیدا کیا ہے اور پھر برابر کر کے متوازن بنایا ہے۔

- Arabic: فِيْٓ اَيِّ صُوْرَةٍ مَّا شَاۗءَ رَكَّبَكَ
- Transliteration: FEEE AYYE SOORATIM MAA SHAAA’A RAKKABAK.
- English: Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you.
- Urdu: اس نے جس صورت میں چاہا ہے تیرے اجزا کی ترکیب کی ہے۔

- Arabic: كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِالدِّيْنِ
- Transliteration: KALLA BAL TUKAZZIBOONA BID DEEN.
- English: Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day
- Urdu: مگر تم لوگ جزا کا انکار کرتے ہو۔

- Arabic: وَاِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحٰفِظِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WA INNA ’ALAIKUM LAHAA FIZEEN.
- English: And most surely there are keepers over you
- Urdu: اور یقینًا تمہارے سروں پر نگہبان مقرر ہیں۔

- Arabic: كِرَامًا كَاتِبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: KIRAAMAN KAATIBEEN.
- English: Honorable recorders
- Urdu: جو باعزّت لکھنے والے ہیں۔

- Arabic: يَعْلَمُوْنَ مَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ
- Transliteration: YA’LAMOONA MA TAF’ALOON.
- English: They know what you do.
- Urdu: وہ تمہارے اعمال کو خوب جانتے ہیں۔

- Arabic: اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِيْ نَعِيْمٍ
- Transliteration: INNAL ABRAARA LAFEE NA’EEM.
- English: Most surely the righteous are in bliss
- Urdu: بے شک نیک لوگ نعمتوں میں ہوں گے۔

- Arabic: وَاِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِيْ جَحِيْمٍ
- Transliteration: WA INNAL FUJJAARA LAFEE JAHEEM.
- English: And most surely the wicked are in burning fire
- Urdu: اور بدکار افراد جہنّم میں ہوں گے۔

- Arabic: يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّيْنِ
- Transliteration: YASLAWNAHAA YAWMAD DEEN.
- English: They shall enter it on the day of judgment.
- Urdu: وہ روزِ جزا اسی میں جھونک دیئے جائیں گے۔

- Arabic: وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَاۗئِبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WA MAA HUM ’ANHAA BIGHAAA ’IBEEN.
- English: And they shall by no means be absent from it.
- Urdu: اور وہ اس سے بچ کر نہ جا سکیں گے۔

- Arabic: وَمَآ اَدْرٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّيْنِ
- Transliteration: WA MAAA ADRAAKA MAA YAWMUD DEEN.
- English: And what will make you realize what the day of judgement is?
- Urdu: اور تم کیا جانو کہ جزا کا دن کیا شے ہے۔

- Arabic: ثُمَّ مَآ اَدْرٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّيْنِ
- Transliteration: SUMMA MAAA ADRAAKA MAA YAWMUD DEEN.
- English: Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is?
- Urdu: پھر تمہیں کیا معلوم کہ جزا کا دن کیسا ہوتا ہے۔

- Arabic: يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَّالْاَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلهِ
- Transliteration: YAWMA LAA TAMLIKU NAFSUL LINAFSIN SHAI’ANW WALAMRU YAWMA’IZIL LILLAAH.
- English: The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah’s.
- Urdu: اس دن کوئی کسی کے بارے میں کوئی اختیار نہ رکھتا ہو گا اور سارا اختیار اللہ کے ہاتھوں میں ہو گا۔

- Transliteration: SADAQALLAHUL ALIYYUL AZEEM
- English: Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.
- Urdu: اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
