### Deceivers in Measuring (Makki)

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUL LIL MUTAFFIFEEN.
- English: Woe to the defrauders
- Urdu: ویل ہے ان کے لئے جو ناپ تول میں کمی کرنے والے ہیں۔

- Arabic: اَلَّذِيْنَ اِذَا اكْتَالُوْا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُوْنَ
- Transliteration: ALLAZEENA IZAK TAALOO ’ALAN NAASI YASTAWFOON.
- English: Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully
- Urdu: یہ جب لوگوں سے ناپ کر لیتے ہیں تو پورا مال لے لیتے ہیں۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا كَالُوْهُمْ اَو وَّزَنُوْهُمْ يُخْسِرُوْنَ
- Transliteration: WA IZAA KAALOOHUM AW WAZANOOHUM YUKHSIROON.
- English: But when they measure out to others or weigh out for them, they are deficient.
- Urdu: اور جب ان کے لئے ناپتے یا تولتے ہیں تو کم کر دیتے ہیں۔

- Arabic: اَلَا يَظُنُّ اُوْلٰۗئِكَ اَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوْثُوْنَ
- Transliteration: ALAA YAZUNNU ULAAA’IKA ANNAHUM MAB’OOSOON.
- English: Do not these think that they shall be raised again
- Urdu: کیا انہیں یہ خیال نہیں ہے کہ یہ ایک روز دوبارہ اٹھائے جانے والے ہیں۔

- Arabic: لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍ
- Transliteration: LI YAWMIN ’AZEEM.
- English: For a mighty day
- Urdu: بڑے سخت دن میں۔

- Arabic: يَوْمَ يَقُوْمُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ
- Transliteration: YAWMA YAQOOMUN NAASU LI RABBIL ’AALAMEEN.
- English: The day on which men shall stand before the Lord of the worlds?
- Urdu: جس دن سب رب العالمین کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوں گے۔

- Arabic: كَلَّآ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِيْ سِجِّيْنٍ
- Transliteration: KALLAAA INNA KITAABAL FUJJAARI LAFEE SIJJEEN.
- English: Nay! most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjin.
- Urdu: یاد رکھو کہ بدکاروں کا نامہ اعمال سجین میں (سختی سے) ہو گا۔

- Arabic: وَمَآ اَدْرٰكَ مَا سِجِّيْنٌ
- Transliteration: WA MAA ADRAAKA MAA SIJJEEN.
- English: And what will make you know what the Sijjin is?
- Urdu: اور تم کیا جانو کہ سجین کیا ہے۔

- Arabic: كِتٰبٌ مَّرْقُوْمٌ
- Transliteration: KITAABUM MARQOOM.
- English: It is a written book.
- Urdu: ایک لکھا ہوا دفتر ہے۔

- Arabic: وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WAILUNY YAWMA’IZIL LIL MUKAZZIBEEN.
- English: Woe on that day to the rejecters
- Urdu: آج کے دن ان جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے بربادی ہے۔

- Arabic: اَلَّذِيْنَ يُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ
- Transliteration: ALLAZEENA YUKAZZIBOONA BI YAWMID DEEN.
- English: Who give the lie to the day of judgment.
- Urdu: جو لوگ روزِ جزا کا انکار کرتے ہیں۔

- Arabic: وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهٖٓ اِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ اَثِيْمٍ
- Transliteration: WA MAA YUKAZZIBU BIHEEE ILLAA KULLU MU’TADIN ASEEM.
- English: And none gives the lie to it but every exceeder of limits, sinful one.
- Urdu: اور اس کا انکار صرف وہی کرتے ہیں جو حد سے گزر جانے والے گناہ گار ہیں۔

- Arabic: اِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِ اٰيٰتُنَا قَالَ اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ
- Transliteration: IZAA TUTLAA’ALAIHI AAYAATUNAA QAALA ASAATEERUL AWWALEEN.
- English: When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore.
- Urdu: جب ان کے سامنے آیات کی تلاوت کی جاتی ہے تو کہتے ہیں کہ یہ تو پرانے افسانے ہیں۔

- Arabic: كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِم مَّا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ
- Transliteration: KALLAA BAL RAANA ’ALAA QULOOBIHIM MAA KAANOO YAKSIBOON.
- English: Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust upon their hearts.
- Urdu: نہیں نہیں بلکہ ان کے دلوں پر ان کے اعمال کا زنگ لگ گیا ہے۔

- Arabic: كَلَّآ اِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوْبُوْنَ
- Transliteration: KALLAAA INNAHUM ’AR RABBIHIM YAWMA’IZIL LAMAH JOOBOON.
- English: Nay! most surely they shall on that day be debarred from their Lord.
- Urdu: یاد رکھو انہیں روزِ قیامت پروردگار کی رحمت سے محجوب (محروم) کر دیا جائے گا۔

- Arabic: ثُمَّ اِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُو الْجَحِيْمِ
- Transliteration: SUMMA INNAHUM LASAA LUL JAHEEM.
- English: Then most surely they shall enter the burning fire.
- Urdu: پھر اس کے بعد یہ جہنّم میں جھونکے جانے والے ہیں۔

- Arabic: ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هٰذَا الَّذِيْ كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ
- Transliteration: SUMMA YUQAALU HAAZAL LAZEE KUNTUM BIHEE TUKAZZIBOON.
- English: Then shall it be said: This is what you gave the lie to.
- Urdu: پھر ان سے کہا جائے گا کہ یہی وہ ہے جس کا تم انکار کررہے تھے۔

- Arabic: كَلَّآ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الْاَبْرَارِ لَفِيْ عِلِّيِّيْنَ
- Transliteration: KALLAAA INNA KITAABAL ABRAARI LAFEE’ILLIYYEEN.
- English: Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyin.
- Urdu: یاد رکھو کہ نیک کردار افراد کا نامہ اعمال علیین (اُنچے لوگوں) میں ہو گا۔

- Arabic: وَمَآ اَدْرٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّوْنَ
- Transliteration: WA MAAA ADRAAKA MAA ’ILLIYYOON.
- English: And what will make you know what the highest Iliyin is?
- Urdu: اور تم کیا جانو کہ علیین کیا ہے۔

- Arabic: كِتٰبٌ مَّرْقُوْمٌ
- Transliteration: KITAABUM MARQOOM.
- English: It is a written book
- Urdu: ایک لکھا ہوا دفتر ہے۔

- Arabic: يَّشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَ
- Transliteration: YASHHADU HUL MUQARRA BOON.
- English: Those who are drawn near (to Allah) shall witness it.
- Urdu: جس کے گواہ ملائکہ مقربین ہیں

- Arabic: اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِيْ نَعِيْمٍ
- Transliteration: INNAL ABRAARA LAFEE NA’EEM.
- English: Most surely the righteous shall be in bliss
- Urdu: بے شک نیک لوگ نعمتوں میں ہوں گے۔

- Arabic: عَلَى الْاَرَاۗئِكِ يَنْظُرُوْنَ
- Transliteration: ALAL ARAAA’IKI YANZUROON.
- English: On thrones, they shall gaze;
- Urdu: تختوں پر بیٹھے ہوئے نظارے کر رہے ہوں گے۔

- Arabic: تَعْرِفُ فِيْ وُجُوْهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيْمِ
- Transliteration: TA’RIFU FEE WUJOOHIHIM NADRATAN NA’EEM.
- English: You will recognize in their faces the brightness of bliss.
- Urdu: تم ان کے چہروں پر نعمت کی شادابی کا مشاہدہ کرو گے۔

- Arabic: يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيْقٍ مَّخْتُوْمٍ
- Transliteration: YUSQAWNA MIR RAHEEQIM MAKHTOOM.
- English: They are made to quaff of a pure drink that is sealed (to others).
- Urdu: انہیں سر بمہر خالص شراب سے سیراب کیا جائے گا۔

- Arabic: خِتٰمُهٗ مِسْكٌ وَّفِيْ ذٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُوْنَ
- Transliteration: KHITAAMUHOO MISK; WA FEE ZAALIKA FALYATANAAFASIL MUTANAAFISOON.
- English: The sealing of it is (with) musk; and for that let the aspirers aspire.
- Urdu: جس کی مہر مشک کی ہو گی اور ایسی چیزوں میں شوق کرنے والوں کو آپس میں سبقت اور رغبت کرنی چاہئے۔

- Arabic: وَمِزَاجُهٗ مِنْ تَسْنِيْمٍ
- Transliteration: WA MIZAAJUHOO MIN TASNEEM.
- English: And the admixture of it is a water of Tasnim
- Urdu: اس شراب میں تسنیم کے پانی کی آمیزش ہو گی۔

- Arabic: عَيْنًا يَّشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَ
- Transliteration: AINAIY YASHRABU BIHAL MUQARRABOON.
- English: A fountain from which drink they who are drawn near (to Allah).
- Urdu: یہ ایک چشمہ ہے جس سے مقربِ بارگاہ بندے پانی پیتے ہیں۔

- Arabic: اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اَجْرَمُوْا كَانُوْا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا يَضْحَكُوْنَ
- Transliteration: INNAL LAZEENA AJRAMOO KAANOO MINAL LAZEENA AAMANOO YADHAKOON.
- English: Surely they who are guilty used to laugh at those who believe.
- Urdu: بے شک یہ مجرمین صاحبانِ ایمان کا مذاق اُڑایا کرتے تھے۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا مَرُّوْا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُوْنَ
- Transliteration: WA IZAA MARROO BIHIM YATAGHAAMAZOON.
- English: And when they passed by them, they winked at one another.
- Urdu: اور جب وہ ان کے پاس سے گزرتے تھے تو اشارے کنائے کرتے تھے۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا انْقَلَبُوْٓا اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهِمُ انْقَلَبُوْا فَكِهِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WA IZAN QALABOOO ILAAA AHLIHIMUN QALABOO FAKIHEEN.
- English: And when they returned to their own followers they returned exulting.
- Urdu: اور جب اپنے اہل کی طرف پلٹ کر آتے تھے تو خوش و خرم ہوتے تھے۔

- Arabic: وَاِذَا رَاَوْهُمْ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ لَضَاۗلُّوْنَ
- Transliteration: WA IZAA RA AWHUM QAALOOO INNA HAAA’ULAAA’I LADAAAL LOON.
- English: And when they saw them, they said: Most surely these are in error;
- Urdu: اور جب مومنین کو دیکھتے تو کہتے تھے کہ یہ سب اصلی گمراہ ہیں۔

- Arabic: وَمَآ اُرْسِلُوْا عَلَيْهِمْ حٰفِظِيْنَ
- Transliteration: WA MAAA URSILOO ’ALAIHIM HAAFIZEEN.
- English: And they were not sent to be keepers over them.
- Urdu: حالانکہ انہیں ان کا نگراں بنا کر نہیں بھیجا گیا تھا۔

- Arabic: فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُوْنَ
- Transliteration: FAL YAWMAL LAZEENA AAMANOO MINAL KUFFAARI YADHAKOON.
- English: So today those who believe shall laugh at the unbelievers;
- Urdu: تو آج ایمان لانے والے بھی کفّار کا مضحکہ اُڑائیں گے۔

- Arabic: عَلَى الْاَرَاۗئِكِ يَنْظُرُوْنَ
- Transliteration: ALAL ARAAA’IKI YANZUROON.
- English: On thrones, they will look.
- Urdu: تختوں پر بیٹھے ہوئے دیکھ رہے ہوں گے۔

- Arabic: هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوْا يَفْعَلُوْنَ
- Transliteration: HAL SUWWIBAL KUFFAARU MAA KAANOO YAF’ALOON.
- English: Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did.
- Urdu: اب تو کفار کو ان کے اعمال کا پورا پورا بدلہ مل رہا ہے۔

- Transliteration: SADAQALLAHUL ALIYYUL AZEEM
- English: Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.
- Urdu: اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
