# Surah Zuha (93, 11 ayat)

### Brightness (Makki)

- Arabic: بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
- Transliteration: BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
- English: In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
- Urdu: اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

- Arabic: وَالضُّحٰى
- Transliteration: WAD DUHAA.
- English: I swear by the early hours of the day
- Urdu: قسم ہے ایک پہر چڑھے دن (دوپہر) کی۔

- Arabic: وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا سَجٰى
- Transliteration: WAL LAILI IZA SAJAA.
- English: And the night when it covers with darkness.
- Urdu: اور قسم ہے رات کی جب وہ چیزوں کی پردہ پوشی کرے۔

- Arabic: مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلٰى
- Transliteration: MA WAD DA’AKA RABBUKA WA MA QALAA.
- English: Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased
- Urdu: تمہارے پروردگار نے نہ تم کو چھو ڑا ہے اور نہ تم سے ناراض ہوا ہے۔

- Arabic: وَلَلْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْاُوْلٰى
- Transliteration: WALAL-AAKHIRATU KHAIRUL LAKA MINAL-OOLA.
- English: And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before.
- Urdu: اور آخرت تمہارے لئے دنیا سے کہیں زیادہ بہتر ہے۔

- Arabic: وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيْكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضٰى
- Transliteration: WA LA SAWFA Y’UTEEKA RABBUKA FATARDA.
- English: And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased.
- Urdu: اور عنقریب تمہارا پروردگار تمہیں اس قدر عطا کر دے گا کہ خوش ہو جاؤ۔

- Arabic: اَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَاٰوٰى
- Transliteration: ALAM YA JIDKA YATEEMAN FA AAWAA.
- English: Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter?
- Urdu: کیا اس نے تم کو یتیم پاکر پناہ نہیں دی ہے۔

- Arabic: وَوَجَدَكَ ضَاۗلًّا فَهَدٰى
- Transliteration: WA WA JADAKA DAAL LAN FAHADA.
- English: And find you lost (i.e. unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)?
- Urdu: اور کیا تم کو گم گشتہ (گم شدہ)  پاکر منزل تک نہیں پہنچایا ہے۔

- Arabic: وَوَجَدَكَ عَاۗئِلًا فَاَغْنٰى
- Transliteration: WA WA JADAKA ’AA-ILAN FA AGHNAA.
- English: And find you in want and make you to be free from want?
- Urdu: اور تم کو تنگ دست پاکر غنی نہیں بنایا ہے۔

- Arabic: فَاَمَّا الْيَتِيْمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
- Transliteration: FA AM MAL YATEEMA FALA TAQHAR.
- English: Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him).
- Urdu: لہذا اب تم یتیم پر قہر نہ کرنا۔

- Arabic: وَاَمَّا السَّاۗئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
- Transliteration: WA AM MAS SAA-ILA FALA TANHAR.
- English: And as for him who asks, do not chide (him)
- Urdu: اور سائل کوجھڑک مت دینا۔

- Arabic: وَاَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
- Transliteration: WA AMMA BI NI’MATI RABBIKA FAHAD DITH.
- English: And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it).
- Urdu: اور اپنے پروردگار کی نعمتوں کو برابر بیان کرتے رہنا۔

- Transliteration: SADAQALLAHUL ALIYYUL AZEEM
- English: Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.
- Urdu: اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
