# Boundaries of Haram (Sanctuary)

- Instruction: The limited area surrounding Mecca is called 'Sanctuary' (haram). Haram means the area around Mecca where one cannot go without Ehraam (pilgrim robe). The Almighty Allah has made this area a land of peace for man, animals and plants. The boundaries of haram are as follows…
- Instruction (Urdu): مکہ معظمہ کے اطراف کے محدود علاقہ کو حرم کہتے ہیں، حرم سے مکہ کے چاروں طرف وہ جگہ مراد ہے کہ جہاں سے احرام کے بغیر نہیں گذرا جا سکتا، خداوند عالم نے اِس حد کو انسانوں، حیوانات اور نباتات کے لئے جائے امن قرار دیا ہے، حرم کی حدود اِس طرح سے ہیں۔۔۔

- Instruction: From north, there is Masjid’e Tan’eem which is about 6 Km. from Masjidul Haram on the way to Medina.
- Instruction (Urdu): شمال کی جانب سے مسجد تنعیم ہے جو کہ مدینہ کے راستہ میں مسجد الحرام سے تقریباً چھ کیلومیٹر کے فاصلہ پر واقع ہے۔

- Instruction: From South, there is Iza’at Laban which is on the way to Yemen and about 12 Km. away from Masjidul Haraam.
- Instruction (Urdu): جنوب کی سمت سے ’اضاء ۃ لبن‘ ہے، یہ یمن کے راستہ پر واقع اور مسجد الحرام سے تقریباً بارہ کیلومیٹر کے فاصلہ پر ہے۔

- Instruction: From East, there is Ja'raanah which is on the way to Taaef. The Holy Prophet (s) tied Ehraam from here only for Umrah.
- Instruction (Urdu): مشرق کی جانب سے ’جعرانہ‘ ہے، یہ طائف کے راستہ پر واقع ہے یہاں سے رسولؐ نے عمرہ کے لئے احرام باندھا تھا۔

- Instruction: From west, there is an area of Hudaibiyyah which is on the edge of the way to Jeddah. This is a place of Bayat’e Rizwan.
- Instruction (Urdu): مغرب کی طرف سے ’حدیبیہ‘ کا علاقہ شمیسی ہے، یہ جدہ کے راستہ کے کنارے پر ہے، یہی بیعت رضوان کی جگہ ہے۔

- Instruction: There are some rules in Islamic law for the persons going for Hajj or visiting this land which they should take into consideration. They are written in the books of Islamic law and rites of pilgrimage (Hajj).
- Instruction (Urdu): فقہ میں حرم کے کچھ احکام ہیں، جن پر حجاج اوراُس سر زمین پر وارد ہونے والوں کو توجہ رکھنی چاہیے، یہ احکام فقہی کتابوں اور مناسک میں مرقوم ہیں۔
