# Merits of Baqi

- Instruction: Allamah Majlisi says that Abdullah ibn Abbas, through a considerable chain of authority, reported the Holy Prophet (s) as saying, “As for anyone who visits (the tomb of) Hasan at Baqi Cemetery, his feet will be fixed on the Siraat (the Discriminating Bridge) when the others’ feet will quake.”
- Instruction (Urdu): علامہ مجلسیؒ کہتے ہیں : معتبر سند کے ساتھ عبداﷲ ابن عباس سے نقل ہوا ہے کہ حضرت رسولؐ نے فرمایا : جو شخص بقیع میں امام حسنؑ کی زیارت کرے،اس کا قدم پلِ صراط پر ثابت رہے گا جب کہ دوسرے لوگوں کے قدم لغزش کھا رہے ہوں گے۔

- Instruction: In Kamil, Ibn Qawlawayh has narrated on the authority of Hisham ibn Salim that Imam Sadiq (a) was once visited by a person who asked him, “Is it recommended to visit the tomb of your father (Imam Baqir (a))?” “Yes, it is,” answered the Imam (a). “What are the rewards of him who visits his tomb?” asked the man. The Imam (a) answered, “To visit his tomb while you betake him as your Imam, Paradise will be your reward.” “What is the share of him who intentionally avoids visiting him?” asked the man. The Imam (a) answered, “The result of such people will be regret on the Regret Day (Resurrection Day).”
- Instruction (Urdu): ابن قولویہ نے کتاب کامل میں ہشام ابن سالم کے واسطہ سے امام جعفر صادقؑ سے ایک طویل حدیث نقل کی ہے کہ جس کا مضمون یہ ہے کہ ایک شخص حضرتؑ کی خدمت میں آیا اور عرض کی: آیا آپ کے والد بزرگوار امام محمد باقرؑ کی زیارت کرنا ضروری ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا :ہاں! اس نے کہا: پھر ان کے زائر کے لئے کیا ثواب ہے؟ آپؑ نے فرمایا: اگر وہ ان کی امامت کا معتقد اور ان کی پیروی کرنے والا ہے تو اس کے لئے جنت واجب ہے۔ اس نے عرض کی : جوشخص ان کی زیارت نہ کرے اس کا حال کیا ہوگا؟ آپ نے فرمایا : قیامت میں اس کو ندامت اور حسرت ہوگی۔

- Instruction: In Muqni’ah, Imam Sadiq (a) is reported to have said, “Whoever visits me, will have all his sins forgiven and will not be inflicted with poverty or neediness.”
- Instruction (Urdu): مقنعہ میں امام جعفر صادقؑ سے روایت ہے : جو شخص میری زیارت کرے گا اس کے گناہ بخش دیئے جائیں گے اور اسے تنگ دستی اور پریشانی لاحق نہیں ہوگی۔

- Instruction: In Tahdhib al-Ahkam, Shaykh Tusi has narrated that Imam Hasan Askari (a) said, “Whoever visits Imam Ja’far Sadiq and his father Imam Muhammad Baqir (a) will never suffer eye pain, will never be infected by a disease, and will not die because of an infection.”
- Instruction (Urdu): شیخ طوسیؒ نے تہذیب الاحکام میں امام حسن عسکریؑ سے روایت کی ہے : جو شخص امام جعفر صادقؑ اور ان کے والد گرامی امام محمد باقرؑ کی زیارت کرے تو اس کو آنکھوں کا درد نہ ہوگا اور کسی درد و بیماری میں مبتلا ہو کر نہ مرے گا۔

- Instruction: When you intend to visit the Holy Imams in Jannatul Baqi Cemetery, you may perform ghusl (spiritual bath), put on clean and pure clothes and apply perfume.
- Instruction (Urdu): یعنی امام حسن مجتبیٰؑ، امام سجادؑ، امام محمدباقرؑاور امام جعفر صادقؑ کی زیارت جب ان بزرگواروں کی زیارت کرنا چاہیں تو آدابِ زیارت میں ذکر شدہ امورپر عمل کریں جیسے غسل، طہارت،پاکیزہ لباس پہننا، خوشبو لگانا۔
