For our children
Madrasah
Classes for the children of the congregation are part of what the Centre does. Places are arranged by asking — there is no timetable to read here.
Asking about a place
Madrasah enquiries are handled by the Centre’s secretary.
Send one through the request form and it reaches the committee. Tell us your child’s age and the secretary will come back to you about what is running and what a place would involve.
What this page does not say
There are no class groups, term dates, days, times or fees on this page, and that is deliberate rather than unfinished. The Centre has not published them, and a plausible age range printed here would put somebody’s child in the wrong class. Ask, and you will be told what is actually true this term.
The madrasah is run by volunteers from the community. If you can teach, or help on the day, the Centre would be glad to hear from you.
A role involving children is subject to Queensland's blue card requirements, and the committee goes through that with a volunteer before they start.
Madrasah questions
- Does the Fatima Zahra Imamia Centre have a madrasah for children?
- Yes. A madrasah for the children of the congregation is one of the things the Fatima Zahra Imamia Centre does, alongside majalis, marriages, funerals and welfare, at 80 Downs Street, North Ipswich QLD 4305. Places are arranged by enquiry rather than through a published timetable.
- How do I enrol my child in the madrasah?
- Ask the Centre's secretary. The request form at https://fzic.org/services reaches the committee, and the secretary will tell you what is running and what a place would involve. This website publishes no class groups, no term dates and no fee for the madrasah, because those are the Centre's to state rather than this page's to guess.
