Imam Ja'far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, "One who walks on the way to seek knowledge, Allah will make him walk on the way to Paradise. Angels spread their wings for the pleasure of a student and every thing in the earth and the heaven including the fishes of oceans repent for him. A scholar is better than a worshipper much in the same way as a full moon is compared to stars. The scholars are inheritors of the prophets and the value of inheritance of prophets is measured in terms of knowledge instead of wealth.
