A story of the Worshipper of Bani Israeel
بنی اسرائيل کے عابد کا واقعہ
Al-Qutb Rawandi has related the following story: A worshipper from the children of Israel (Israelites) asked Allah the Almighty and Majestic, saying, “O Lord! What is my status with You? If it is praiseworthy, then I will try to add up to my good deeds; but if it is blameworthy, I will repent to You before I die.” Replying to his question, Almighty Allah sent to him one of His angels to tell him that he has no good point with Allah. “O Lord!” asked the man, “Where are then all my deeds?” The Lord answered, “Whenever you did a good deed, you told people about it so that they would consider you virtuous and mention you reputably. Therefore, no reward will be given for your deeds except the reward that you have accepted for yourself.” This fact disturbed and aggrieved the man extremely; therefore, Almighty Allah sent the same angel to convey the following message to him: “Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says to you that you must purchase yourself from Him with alms that you must give every day for each one of your veins.” The man asked, “O Lord! Is there any creature able to do that?” The Almighty instructed, “You may repeat the following statement 360 times, the number of your veins, every day. The man said, “O Lord! Please, give me more.” The Almighty said, “If you add to the number, I will add to you.”…
قطب راوندیؒ نے روايت کی ہے کہ بنی اسرائيل میں ايک عابد تھا کہ جس نے سالہا سال تک خدا کی عبادت کی تھی، ايک دن اس نے الله تعالیٰ سے دعا کی کہ پروردگارا! میں يہ جاننا چاہتا ہوں کہ تيرے نزديک ميری کيفيت کيا ہے؟ اگر تو نے ميرے اعمال کو پسند کر ليا ہے، پھر میں ايسے اعمال میں اور اضافہ کروں ورنہ مرنے سے پہلے تو بہ کروں! اس پر حق تعالےٰ نے اس کے پاس ايک فرشتہ بھيجا، جس نے آکر کہا: تيرا کوئی بھی عمل خدا کے نزديک قبول نہيں ہے! اس نے پوچھا: ميری اتنی ساری عبادت کيا ہوئی؟فرشتے نے کہا: تو نيکی کا جو بھی کام کرتا تھا لوگوں کو بتاتا رہتا تھا، اس طرح تو يہ چاہتا تھا کہ لوگ تيری تعريف کريں اور تجھے نيک و پارسا جانيں تو اب تمہارا اجر وہی ہے جو تو چاہتا تھا، يہ سن کر وه عابد بہت پريشان ہوا اور گريہ کرنے لگا، فرشتہ دوباره اس کے پاس آيااور کہا حق تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ اب تو خود کو مجھ سے خريد لے اور اپنے بدن کی رگوں کے برابر صدقہ ديا کر! اس نے عرض کيا ، میں کيسے يہ کام کر سکتا ہوں فرمايا: روزانہ اپنی رگوں کی تعداديعنی ۳۶۰ مرتبہ يہ کہا کرو۔ اس نے کہا: پالنے والے! اس سے کچھ زياده عطا فرما! حکم ہوا کہ اگر اس سے زياده مرتبہ پڑھو گے تو زياده ثواب حاصل کرو گے۔۔۔
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ وَلَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَاقُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ۔
Sub-haa-nal laahe wal hamdo lillaa-he wa laa ilaaha illal laaho wal laaho akbaro wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaah.
All glory be to Allah, all praise be to Allah, there is no god save Allah, Allah is the Greatest, and there is neither might nor power except with Allah.”
الله پاک تر ہے حمد الله ہی کے ليے ہے نہيں کوئی معبود سواے الله کے اور الله بزرگ تر ہے نہيں کوئی طاقت و قوت مگر جو خدا سے ہے۔
