Allahumma Arrifni

اَللّٰھُمَّ عَرِّفْنِیْ

2. Sheikh Kulaini has narrated it from Imam Sadiq (a) how excellent the expression. It is incumbent for the man to be in occultation, I said for what? He said pointing to his stomach, he is scared, that is the awaiting one. He who people shall be in doubt of his birthday, some people shall say he is not pregnant, some shall say his father died without leaving behind a successor while some shall say he was born two years before the advent of his father. Zurarah said: I said to Imam; what will you command me to do if I reach that time? He (a) said: Offer the following supplication…

   شیخ کلینیؒ اور دیگر بزرگان نے امام جعفر صادقؑ سے روایت کی ہے کہ آپؑ نے زرارہ کو یہ دعا تعلیم فرمائی : ہمارے شیعہ امام العصر(عج) کی غیبت میں اور اپنے اس امتحان میں ان کی کشائش وآسائش کے لئے یہ دعا پڑھا کریں۔۔۔

3. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

4. اَللّٰهُمَّ عَرِّفْنِيْ نَفْسَكَ، فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ لَمْ تُعَرِّفْنِيْ نَفْسَكَ لَمْ أَعْرِفْ رَسُولَكَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ عَرِّفْنِيْ رَسُوْلَكَ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ لَمْ تُعَرِّفْنِي رَسُوْلَكَ لَمْ أَعْرِفْ حُجَّتَكَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ عَرِّفْنِيْ حُجَّتَكَ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ لَمْ تُعَرِّفْنِيْ حُجَّتَكَ ضَلَلْتُ عَنْ دِيْنِيْ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA 'ARRIFNEE NAFSAKA, FA'INNAKA IN LAM TU'ARRIFNEE NAFSAKA LAM A'RIF RASOOLAK. ALLAAHUMMA 'ARRIFNEE RASOOLAKA FA'INNAKA IN LAM TU'ARRIFNEE RASOOLAKA LAM A'RIF HUJJATAK. ALLAAHUMMA 'ARRIFNEE HUJJATAKA FA'INNAKA IN LAM TU'ARRIFNEE HUJJATAKA DALALTU 'AN DEENEE.

   O Allah introduce Yourself to me For, if you do not introduce Yourself to me, I will not recognize Your Prophet (s.a.w.a). O Allah make me recognize Your Prophet (s.a.w.a) because if I do not recognize Your Prophet (s.a.w.a), I will not recognize Your Proof [Imam (as)]. O Allah make me recognize Your Proof [Imam (a.s)] because if you do not make me recognize Your Proof, I will deviate from my religion.

   اے معبود! تو مجھے اپنی معرفت عطا کر کہ یقیناً اگر تو نے مجھے اپنی معرفت عطا نہ فرمائی تو میں تیرے رسولؐ کو نہ پہچان پاؤں گا۔ اے معبود! مجھے اپنے رسولؐ کی معرفت عطا کر کہ یقیناً اگر تو نے مجھے اپنے رسولؐ کی معرفت نہ کرائی تو میں تیری حجتؑ کو نہ پہچان پاؤں گا۔ اے معبود! مجھے اپنی حجت کی معرفت عطا کر کہ اگر تو نے مجھے اپنی حجت کی پہچان نہ کرائی تو میں اپنے دین سے گمراہ ہو جاؤں گا۔

5. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA SALLI 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA-AALI MUHAMMAD.

   O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

   اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
