Sayed Ibn Taaoos (r) reports that he has narrated this supplication in the book ‘Fazl al-Dua’ from Sa’d Ibn Abdullah: Ismail Ibn Bazee’ and Suleman Ibn Ja’far say: When we went to Imam Reza (a) we saw him in prostration of gratitude, he (a) prolonged his prostration and when he raised his head from prostration we said: You have prolonged your prostration? Imam (a) said: Whoever would recite this supplication in the prostration of gratitude it is as if he would have showered arrows on the enemy along with the Holy Prophet (s) in the battle of Badr. When we asked the permission to memorize this dua, he (a) said recite this dua whenever you do thanksgiving prostration…
محمد بن اسماعیل بن بزیع اور سلیمان بن جعفر کہتے ہیں کہ ہم آنحضرت کے پاس گئے جب کہ آنحضرتؑ سجدہٴ شکر میں تھے اور آنحضرتؑ کا سجدہ ذرا لمبا ہو گیا، پھر آنحضرتؑ نے سجدہ سے سر کو اٹھایا تو ہم نے عرض کی: آپ نے سجدہ کو لمبا کر دیا؟ آپ نے فرمایا جو کوئی بھی سجدہٴ شکر میں یہ دعا پڑھے تو وہ اُس شخص کی طرح ہے جس نے رسولِ خداؐ کے ساتھ جنگ بدر میں تیر اندازی کی ہو۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنِ اللَّذَيْنِ بَدَّلَا دِيْنَكَ وَغَيَّرَا نِعْمَتَكَ وَاتَّهَمَا رَسُوْلَكَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَخَالَفَا مِلَّتَكَ وَصَدَّا عَنْ سَبِيْلِكَ وَكَفَرَا آلَآءَكَ وَرَدَّا عَلَيْكَ كَلَامَكَ وَاسْتَهْزَءَا بِرَسُوْلِكَ وَقَتَلَا ابْنَ نَبِيِّكَ وَحَرَّفَا كِتَابَكَ وَجَحَدَا اٰيَاتِكَ وَسَخِرَا بِاٰيَاتِكَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكَ وَقَتَلَا اَوْلِيَآءَكَ وَجَلَسَا فِيْ مَجْلِسٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمَا بِحَقٍّ وَحَمَلَا النَّاسَ عَلٰى اَكْتَافِ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمَا لَعْنًا يَتْلُوْ بَعْضُهٗ بَعْضًا وَاحْشُرْهُمَا وَاَتْبَاعَهُمَا اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَ زُرْقًا۔
Allaahumma al-'ani al-lazayni baddalaa deenaka waghayyaraa ni'mataka wattahamaa rasoolaka sallaa allaahu 'alayhi wa-aalihee wakhaalafaa millataka wasaddaa 'an sabeelika wakafaraa aalaa'aka waraddaa 'alayka kalaamaka wastahza'aa birasoolika waqatalaa ibna nabiyyika waharrafaa kitaabaka wajahadaa aayaatika wasakhiraa bi-aayaatika wastakbaraa 'an 'ibaadatika waqatalaa awliyaa'aka wajalasaa fee majlisin lam yakun lahumaa bihaqqin wahamalaa an-naasa 'alaa aktaafi aali muhammad.
Allaahumma al-'anhumaa la'nan yatloo ba'duhoo ba'dan wahshurhumaa wa-atbaa'ahumaa ilaa jahannama zurqaa.
O Allah! Curse those (two) who altered Your religion, changed Your favor, accused Your Messenger (may Allah bless him and his Household), opposed Your religion, turned away from Your way, were ungrateful for Your boons, returned Your words to You, disdained Your Messenger, killed the (grand) son of Your Prophet (s), distorted Your Book, denied Your signs, sat in the assembly which was not appropriate for them, and made the people ride on the shoulders of the Household of Mohammed (s). O Allah! Curse (both of) them with curses following each other, hurl both their followers in Hell-fire.
اے خدا! لعنت کر ان دو اشخاص پر جنہوں نے تیرے دین کو بدلا اور تیری نعمت میں تغییر کیا، تیرے پیغمبر پر تہمت لگائی اور تیری شریعت کی مخالفت کی، تیرے راستے سے لوگوں کو روکا، تیری نعمتوں کا انکار کیا، تیرے کلام کو رد کیا اور قبول نہ کیا، تیرے رسول کے ساتھ مذاق و تمسخر کیا۔ تیرے رسول کے بیٹے کو قتل کیا، تیری کتاب میں تحریف کی، تیری آیات کا انکار کیا اور تیری آیات کا مذاق اڑایا، تیری عبادت سے تکبر کیا، تیرے اولیاء کو قتل کیا، اپنے آپ کو اس جگہ پر قرار دیا جس کے وہ اہل نہ تھے، لوگوں کو آلِ محمدؑ کی مخالفت پر اکسایا۔ اے خدا! ان دو افراد پر لعنت کر، ایسی لعنت جو پے در پے ہو اور ختم نہ ہونے والی ہو، ان کو اور ان کی اتّباع کرنے والوں کو اس حال میں جہنم میں داخل کر کہ ان کی آنکھیں اندھی ہوں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّا نَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ بِاللَّعْنَةِ لَهُمَا وَالْبَرَآئَةِ مِنْهُمَا فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ قَتَلَةَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَقَتَلَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَابْنِ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّمَ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ زِدْهُمَا عَذَابًا فَوْقَ عَذَابٍ وَهَوَانًا فَوْقَ هَوَانٍ وَذُلًّا فَوْقَ ذُلٍّ وَخِزْيًا فَوْقَ خِزْيٍ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ دُعَّهُمَا فِيْ النَّارِ دَعًّا وَاَرْكِسْهُمَا فِيْ اَلِيْمِ عِقَابِكَ رَكْسًا۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ احْشُرْهُمَا وَاَتْبَاعَهُمَا اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًا۔
Allaahumma innaa nataqarrabu ilayka bil-la'nati lahumaa wal-baraa'ati minhumaa fee ad-dunyaa wal-aakhirah.
Allaahumma al-'an qatalata ameeri al-mu'mineena waqatalata al-husayni ibni 'aliyyin wabni faatimata binti rasooli allaahi sallaa allaahu 'alayhi wa-aalihee wasallam.
Allaahumma zid-humaa 'azaaban fawqa 'azaabin wahawaanan fawqa hawaanin wazullan fawqa zullin wakhizyan fawqa khizy.
Allaahumma du''ahumaa fee an-naari da''an wa-arkis-humaa fee aleemi 'iqaabika raksaa.
Allaahumma uhshurhumaa wa-atbaa'ahumaa ilaa jahannama zumaraa.
O Allah! We seek nearness to You through cursing them and renouncing them in this world and the next. O Allah! Curse those who killed the Commander of the faithful and Hussain son of Ali and Fatema, daughter of Allah’s Messenger, may Allah bless him and his Household. O Allah! Increase them in chastisement to chastisement, humiliation to humiliation, abasement to abasement, and disgrace to disgrace. O Allah! Drive them away to the Fire with violence and return them to Your painful chastisement with a return. O Allah! Gather them and their followers in the Hell-fire in group!
اے پروردگار! ہم ان دونوں پر دنیا اور آخرت میں لعنت اور تبرّا کرنے کے ذریعے سے تیرا قرب چاہتے ہیں۔ اے خدا! امیر المومنینؑ کے قاتلوں اور حسین ابن علیؑ اور فاطمہؑ تیرے رسول کی بیٹی کے بیٹے کے قاتلوں پر لعنت کر۔ اے اللہ! ان دو پر پے در پے عذاب، ہمیشہ رہنے والی رسوائی اور ختم نہ ہونے والی ذلت اور پستی کے اُوپر پستی مقرر فرما۔ اے خدا! ان دو کو آگ میں ڈال اور اپنے درد ناک عذاب میں سرنگوں فرما۔ خدا وندا! ان دو کو اور ان کی اتباع کرنے والوں کو گروہ در گروہ جہنم میں داخل فرما۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَرِّقْ جَمْعَهُمْ وَشَتِّتْ اَمْرَهُمْ وَخَالِفْ بَيْنَ كَلِمَتِهِمْ وَبَدِّدْ جَمَاعَتَهُمْ وَالْعَنْ اَئِمَّتَهُمْ وَاقْتُلْ قَادَتَهُمْ وَسَادَتَهُمْ وَكُبَرَآئَهُمْ وَالْعَنْ رُؤَسَآئَهُمْ وَاكْسِرْ رَايَتَهُمْ وَاَلْقِ الْبَاْسَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَلَا تُبْقِ مِنْهُمْ دَيَّارًا۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ اَبَا جَهْلٍ وَالْوَلِيْدَ لَعْنًا يَتْلُوْ بَعْضُهٗ بَعْضًا وَيَتْبَعُ بَعْضُهٗ بَعْضًا۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمَا لَعْنًا يَلْعَنُهُمَا بِهٖ كُلُّ مَلَكٍ مُقَرَّبٍ وَكُلُّ نَبِيٍّ مُرْسَلٍ وَكُلُّ مُؤْمِنٍ امْتَحَنْتَ قَلْبَهٗ لِلْاِيْمَانِ۔
Allaahumma farriq jam'ahum washattit amrahum wakhaalif bayna kalimatihim wabaddid jamaa'atahum wal-'an a'immatahum waqtul qaadatahum wasaadatahum wakubaraa'ahum wal-'an ru'asaa'ahum waksir raayatahum wa-alqi al-ba'sa baynahum walaa tubqi minhum dayyaaraa.
Allaahumma al-'an abaa jahlin wal-waleeda la'nan yatloo ba'duhoo ba'dan wayatba'u ba'duhoo ba'daa.
Allaahumma al-'anhumaa la'nan yal'anuhumaa bihee kullu malakin muqarrabin wakullu nabiyyin mursalin wakullu mu'minin imtahanta qalbahoo lil-eemaan.
O Allah! Divide their gathering; scatter their affair; make their words disagree with each other; disperse their unity; curse their imams; kill their leaders, their masters, and their eldest ones; curse their heads; break their flags; spread terror among them; and leave not any dweller of them! O Allah! Curse Abu Jahl and al-Waleed with curses following one another. O Allah! Curse them with a curse through which curse every angel brought nigh, every prophet sent out, and every believer whose heart You examine for faith.
اے اللہ! ان کے اجتماع کو متفرق اور ان کے کام کو جدا جدا کر، ان کے اتفاق میں اختلاف پیدا فرما، ان کی جماعت کے ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر دے، ان کے اماموں پر لعنت فرما، ان کے قائدین، سرداروں اور بڑوں کو ہلاک کر، ان کے سربراہوں پر لعنت فرما اور ان کے پرچم کو سرنگوں فرما، ان کے درمیان دشمنی پیدا کر اور ان میں سے کسی کو بھی زندہ نہ چھوڑ۔ اے پروردگار! ابو جہل اور ولید پر لعنت کر، ایسی لعنت جو پے در پے اور ہمیشہ جاری رہنے والی ہو۔ اے خدا! ان دونوں پر لعنت فرما، ایسی لعنت کہ ہر مقرب فرشتہ، ہر نبیِ مرسل اور ہر ایسا مومن کہ جس کے دل کو ایمان کے لئے آزمایا ہو، ان پر لعنت کرے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمَا لَعْنًا يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْهُ اَهْلُ النَّارِ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمَا لَعْنًا لَمْ يَخْطُرْ لِاَحَدٍ بِبَالٍ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمَا فِيْ مُسْتَسِرِّ سِرِّكَ وَظَاهِرِ عَلَانِيَتِكَ وَعَذِّبْهُمَا عَذَابًا فِيْ التَّقْدِيْرِ وَشَارِكْ مَعَهُمَا ابْنَتَيْهِمَا وَاَشْيَاعَهُمَا وَمُحِبِّيْهِمَا وَمَنْ شَايَعَهُمَا اِنَّكَ سَمِيْعُ الدُّعَاءِ وَصَلَّي اللهُ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهٖ اَجْمَعِيْنَ۔
Allaahumma al-'anhumaa la'nan yata'awwazu minhu ahlu an-naar.
Allaahumma al-'anhumaa la'nan lam yakhtur li-ahadin bibaal.
Allaahumma al-'anhumaa fee mustasirri sirrika wazaahiri 'alaaniyatika wa'azzibhumaa 'azaaban fee at-taqdeeri washaarik ma'ahumaa ibnatayhimaa wa-ashyaa'ahumaa wamuhibbeehimaa waman shaaya'ahumaa innaka samee'u ad-du'aa'i wasallaa allaahu 'alaa muhammadin wa-aalihee ajma'een.
O Allah! Curse them with a curse from which the inhabitants of the Fire seek refuge, and which does not come into anyone’s mind. O Allah! Curse them in Your hidden secret and Your manifest openness, chastise them with a chastisement in the ordination, and make their two daughters, their followers, their lovers and whoever sided with them partners with them! Verily You hear supplication. And blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad and all of his progeny.
اے خدا! ان دو پر ایسی لعنت فرما کہ اہلِ جہنم اس لعنت سے تیری پناہ مانگیں۔ اے اللہ! ان دو پر لعنت فرما کہ اس کا کسی کے ذہن میں تصور بھی نہ آیا ہو، ان دو پر باطن اور ظاہر میں لعنت کر، ان کو بڑا عذاب دے، ان کی بیٹیوں، ان کی اتباع کرنے والوں اور ان کے دوستوں کو ان کے ساتھ شریک کر، بے شک تو دعا کو سننے والا ہے، اور محمدؐ اور اس (رسولؐ) کی تمام آل پر درود بھیج۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
