   امام رضاؑ فرماتے ہیں: رسولِ خداؐ کے ایک صحابی کو ایک کاغذ ملا جو اُس نے آن حضرتؐ کے سامنے پش کیا، اُس کاغذ پر حضرت یُشع ابن نون کی لکھی ہوئی درود تھی جو پیغمبر موسیؑ کے جانشین تھے۔۔۔

2. بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ اِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَؤُفٌ رَحِيْمٌ اَلَا اِنَّ خَيْرَ عِبَادِ اللهِ التَّقِيُّ الْـخَفِيُّ وَاِنَّ شَرَّ عِبَادِ اللهِ الْمُشَارُ اِلَيْهِ بِالْاَصَابِعِ۔

   BISMILLAA-HIR REHMAA-NIR RAHEE-ME INNA RABBA-KUM LA-RAOO-FOON RAHEE-MOON ALAA INNA KHAIRA E’BAA-DIL LAA-HIT TAQIY-YUL KHAFIYYO WA INNA SHARRA E’BAA-DIL LAAHIL MO-SHAARO ILAIY-HE BIL ASAABE-E’.

   ‘In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful. No doubt your Lord is Compassionate and Kind. Beware, the best servant of Allah (swt) is he who guards himself against evil and is concealed and the worst is one who is being pointed i.e. he is famous.’

   شروع خدا کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان اور رحم کرنے والا ہے، بےشک تمہارا پروردگار مہربان اور رحم کرنے والا ہے، آگاہ ہو جاؤ! کہ بہترین بندۂ خدا وہ ہے کہ جو پرہیز گار اور پنہاں رہنے والا ہے، اور سب سے بدترین بندۂ خدا وہ ہے کہ جس کی طرف انگلیوں سے اشارہ کیا جائے (یعنی لوگوں میں اس کی برائی مشہور ہو)۔

3. So whoever wants to fill up his bowl and wants to discharge his duties for the sake of the blessings, awarded to him by the Almighty Allah, should recite this dua everyday…

   تو جس کسی کو اپنا ظرف بھرنا ہو اور اپنے کاموں سے آزاد ہونا ہو اُن نعمتوں کے خاطر جو اللہ تعالی کی طرف سے اُس کو عطا کی گئی ہے، اُسے چاہیے کہ وہ اس دعا کو روزانہ پڑھے۔۔۔

4. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

5. سُبْحَانَ اللهِ كَمَا یَنْۢبَغِیْ لِلهِ وَلَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ كَمَا یَنْۢبَغِیْ لِلهِ وَالْـحَمْدُ لِلهِ كَمَا یَنْۢبَغِیْ لِلهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى مُـحَمَّدٍ وَاَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ النَّبِيِّ الْعَرَبِيِّ الْهَاشِمِيِّ وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى جَمِيْعِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ وَالنَّبِيِّيْنَ حَتّٰى يَرْضَى اللهُ۔

   SUBHAANAL LAAHE KAMAA YAMBAGHEE LILLAAH WA LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO KAMAA YAMBAGHEE LILLAAH WAL HAMDO LILLAAHE KAMAA YAMBAGHEE LILLAAH WA LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHE WA SALLAL LAAHO A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AHLE BAYTEHIN NABIYYEENAL A’RABIYYIL HAASHEMIYYE WA SALLAL LAAHO A’LAA JAMEE-I’L MURSALEENA WAN NABIYYEENA HATTAA YARZAL LAAH.

   Glory be to Allah like it befit for Allah; and there is no god except Allah like it behove for Allah; and the praise is for Allah like it befit for Allah; there is no might nor power except with Allah; and blessings of Allah upon Muhammad and the progeny of the prophet, the arab, the hashmite and praise of Allah be upon all the messengers and the prophets till Allah is pleased.

   اللہ منزہ و پاکیزہ ہے کہ جس طرح کی پاکیزگی اس کے لیے مناسب ہے، اور کوئی معبود نہیں ہے سوائے خدا کے کہ جس کی یگاندگی اللہ کے لیے سزاوار ہے، اور کوئی قدرت و طاقت نہیں ہے سوائے خدا کے لیے، اور اللہ محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر درود نازل فرمائے، وہ محمدؐ جو نبی، عربی، ہاشمی ہے اور اللہ تمام مرسلین و انبیاء پر درود نازل فرمائے یہاں تک کہ اللہ راضی ہو جائے۔

6. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   ALLAHUMMA SWALLE ALAA MUHAMMADIW WA AALE MUHAMMADIN

   Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.

   اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔

7. Then the Holy Prophet (s) came down from the pulpit. As people were insisting him about this invocation the Holy Prophet (s) again went on the pulpit and said: Whoever wants that he should be praised and glorified more than the Mujaahedin (Fighters in the way of Allah) he should recite this supplication each day. His needs will surely be fulfilled, his enemies will be destroyed, his loans will be cleared, all his problems will be solved, his invocation will be fixed on Divine Tablet (Lauh’e Mehfooz) after taking round of the sky.

   پھر رسولِ خداؐ منبر سے نیچے تشریف لے آئے، جب کہ لوگ اس دعا کے متعلق سوال کر رہے تھے، رسولِ خداؐ پھر سے منبر پر گئے اور فرمایا: جو کوئی چاہتا ہے کہ اُس کی تعریف و توصیف مجاہدین سے زیادہ ہو، تو اُسے چاہیے کہ وہ اس دعا کو روزانہ پڑھے۔ اُس کی حاجات پوری ہوگی، اُس کے دشمن نابود ہونگے، اُس کا قرض ادا ہوگا، تمام مشکلیں حل ہوگی، اُس کی دعا کو عرش پر پھرنے کے بعد لوحِ محفوظ پر لگا دی جائےگی۔
