Dua before starting Prayer-2

نماز شروع کرنے سے پہلے کی دعا۔۲

1. Safwan Jammal is reported to have said: I was once with Imam Sadiq (a). He directed his face towards the qiblah direction (for performing a prayer) and said the following supplicatory prayer before he uttered the Takbeerah ihram statement (the commencing statement of the ritual prayers)…

   صفوان جمال سے روايت ہے کہ ميں نے امام جعفر صادقؑ کو ديکھا کی آپؑ قبلہ رخ ہوئے اور تکبير سے پہلے يہ دعا پڑھی۔۔۔

2. اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا تُؤْيِسْنِىْ مِنْ رَوْحِكَ وَلَاتُقَنِّطْنِىْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ وَلَا تُؤْمِنِّىْ مَكْرَكَ فَاِنَّهٗ لَا يَاْمَنُ مَكْرَاللهِ اِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الْخَاسِرُوْنَ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA LAA TO-YIS-NEE MIN RAW-HEKA WA LAA TO-QANNIT-NEE MIN RAHMATE-KA WA LAA TO-MINNEE MAKRA-KA FA-INNA-HU LAA YAA MANO MAKRAL LAAHE ILLAL QAWMUL KHAASE-ROON.

   O Allah, (please) do not make me despair of Your soothing mercy, do not make me lose hope of Your mercy, and do not make me feel secure against Your plans, for none feels secure against Allah’s plans except the losing people.

   اے معبود! مجھے اپنی مہربانی سے نااميد نہ کر، اپنی رحمت سے بے آس نہ فرما اور مجھے اپنی تدبير سے بے خطر نہ ہونے دے کہ خدا کی تدبير سے بے خطر رياکار ہی ہوتے ہيں۔
