دُعاء الحاج

1. Abu Naeem Ansari says: I was living on rent in Mecca near the Rukn and a group of men from the tribe Muqassira were also present. Mahmoodi, Allaan e Kulayni, Abu Haysum Dinari and Abu Ja’far Ahwal Hamdani were present amongst them and totally there were about thirty men. I didn’t know of any other pure-hearted Shia from their group except Mohammad bin Qasim Alavi Aqeeqi. It was the sixth day of Zil Hijjah, 293 Hijrah, when suddenly a young man who was busy in circumambulation wearing two clothes of Ahraam and holding his shoes in his hand, came towards us. His reverence was overwhelming and we stood up involuntarily; all of us stood up from their positions without any exception and greeted him with Salaam. Then he sat down and looked towards his right and left, then said: Do you people know what Imam Sadiq (a) used to say in the supplication of Ilhaah? We asked: What was it? He said: He used to say this supplication. It is reported in the book Al Junnatul Waqiya that Imam Mahdi (a) said: Imam Sadiq (a) used to recite this supplication every morning…

   ابو نعیم انصاری کہتاہے کہ مسجد الحرام میں تھا چند آدمی عمرہ کے لئے آئے ہوئے تھے ان میں سے ایک محمودی علّان کلینی ابو حیشم دیناری ابوجعفر احول ہمدانی حجر اسود کے قریب کھڑے تھے تقریباً تیس آدمی تھے اور ان کے درمیان میں جہاں تک میں جانتاہوں کہ محمد بن قاسم عقیقی کے علاوہ کوئی اور مخلص شخص نہیں تھا اس دن چھ ذوالحجہ سال ۲۹۳ تھا جیسے ہی ہم کھڑے تھے کہ اچانک ایک جوان طواف کعبہ مکمل کرنے کے بعد ہماری طرف آیا وہ احرام کے دو لباس پہنے ہوئے تھا اور کفش اس کے ہاتھ میں تھے جب ان کو دیکھا تو اس کی ہیبت اور متانت کو دیکھ کر ہم سب کھڑے ہوگئے اور اس کو سلام کیا وہ بیٹھا اور دائیں بائیں دیکھتا تھا اس وقت فرمایا کیا تم جانتے ہو کہ حضرت صادق نے دعائے الحاح میں کیا فرمایا ہے ہم نے کہا کیا کہا ہے فرمایا کہ فرماتے تھے۔۔۔

2. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

3. اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْاَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِیْ بِهٖ تَقُوْمُ السَّمَائُ، وَبِهٖ تَقُوْمُ الْاَرْضُ، وَبِهٖ تُفَرِّقُ بَیْنَ الْحَقِّ وَالْبَاطِلِ، وَبِهٖ تَجْمَعُ بَیْنَ الْمُتَفَرِّقِ، وَبِهٖ تُفَرِّقُ بَیْنَ الْمُجْتَمِعِ، وَبِهٖ اَحْصَیْتَ عَدَدَ الرِّمَالِ، وَزِنَۃَ الْجِبَالِ، وَكَیْلَ الْبِحَارِ، اَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِیْ مِنْ اَمْرِیْ فَرَجًا وَمَخْرَجًا۔

   ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS'ALUKA BISMIKA ALLAZEE BIHEE TAQOOMU AS-SAMAA'U, WABIHEE TAQOOMU AL-ARDU, WABIHEE TUFARRIQU BAYNA AL-HAQQI WAL-BAATILI, WABIHEE TAJMA'U BAYNA AL-MUTAFARRIQI, WABIHEE TUFARRIQU BAYNA AL-MUJTAMI'I, WABIHEE AHSAYTA 'ADADA AR-RIMAALI, WAZINATA AL-JIBAALI, WAKAYLA AL-BIHAARI, AN TUSALLIYA 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA-AALI MUHAMMADIN, WA-AN TAJ'ALA LEE MIN AMREE FARAJAN WAMAKHRAJAA.

   O Allah! Indeed I beseech You in Your name with which the sky is upright, and with which the earth is upright, and with which You differentiate between truth and evil, and with which You join the separated ones, and with which You segregate the joined ones, and with which You have counted the number of pebbles, and the weight of the mountains, and the measurement of the Oceans, to bless Mohammad and his holy Progeny, and to give me relief and a point of exit for my affair.

   اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے سوال کرتا ہوں جس کے ذریعے آسمان قائم ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے زمین قائم ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے تو حق اور باطل کے درمیان جدائی کرتا ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے تو بکھرے ہوئے کو جمع کرتا ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے تو جمع شدہ میں فرق ڈال دیتا ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے تو نے ریت کے ذروں کی تعداد، پہاڑوں کا وزن، اور سمندروں کی پیمائش کو گن/مقرر کر رکھا ہے کہ تو محمدؐ اور آلِ محمدؑ پر درود بھیج، اور میرے کام میں میرے لیے کشادگی (آسانی) اور نکلنے کا راستہ پیدا فرما۔

4. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA SALLI 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA-AALI MUHAMMAD.

   O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

   اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
