۸۔تاریخ کی دعا

1. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

2. اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ الشَّجَرِ وَالْوَرَقِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ الْحَصٰی وَالْمَدَرِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ الشَّعْرِ وَالْوَبَرِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ اَیَّامِ الدُّنْیَا وَالْآخِرَۃِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ نُجُوْمِ السَّمَاۗئِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ قَطْرِ الْمَطَرِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ قَطْرِ الْبَحْرِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ خَلَقْتَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ مِلَاۗئِ عَرْشِكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ كَلِمَاتِكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ رَضٰی نَفْسِكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ مَا اَحَاطَ بِهٖ عِلْمُكَ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA LAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA ASH-SHAJARI WAL-WARAQI, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA AL-HASAA WAL-MADARI, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA ASH-SHA'RI WAL-WABARI, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA AYYAAMI AD-DUNYAA WAL-AAKHIRATI, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA NUJOOMI AS-SAMAA'I, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA QATRI AL-MATARI, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA QATRI AL-BAHRI, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA KULLI SHAY'IN KHALAQTA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU MILAA'I 'ARSHIKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA KALIMAATIKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU RADAA NAFSIKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA MAA AHAATA BIHEE 'ILMUKA.

   O Allah, to You belongs praise according to the number of trees and leaves, and to You belongs praise according to the number of pebbles and clods of earth, and to You belongs praise according to the number of hairs and fur, and to You belongs praise according to the number of days of this world and the Hereafter, and to You belongs praise according to the number of stars in the heaven, and to You belongs praise according to the number of drops of rain, and to You belongs praise according to the number of everything You have created, and to You belongs praise that fills Your throne, and to You belongs praise according to the number of Your words, and to You belongs praise to the extent of Your own pleasure, and to You belongs praise according to what Your knowledge has encompassed, and to You belongs praise for everything You have counted in numbers (72:28), and to You belongs praise for everything into which Your sight penetrates, and to You belongs praise for everything which Your majesty attains, and to You belongs praise for everything Your mercy encompasses, and to You belongs praise for all things the treasures of which are in Your hand, and to You belongs praise for what Your book encompasses, and to You belongs praise, a praise continual, eternal, that never comes to an end nor can be reckoned in numbers by creatures.

   اے اللہ! درختوں کے شمار اور پتّوں کے اعداد سے تیری حمد و تعریف، سنگریزوں اور پتھروں کی تعداد میں تیری حمد، بالوں اور روؤں کے برابر تیری حمد، دنیا اور آخرت کے دنوں کے برابر تیری حمد، آسمان کے تاروں کی گنتی سے تیری حمد، بارش کے قطروں کی تعداد میں تیری حمد، سمندر کے قطروں کی تعداد میں تیری حمد، تیری تمام مخلوق کی گنتی میں تیری حمد، عرش کی آبادیوں کے برابر تیری حمد، تیری حمد و ثنا جتنے تیرے کلمات ہیں اور تیری رضا مندیوں تک تیری حمد، تیرے علم نے جن چیزوں کو احاطہ کیا ہے اتنی تیری حمد۔

3. وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ فِیْ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ اَحْصَیْتَهٗ عَدَدًا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ نَفَذَ فِیْهِ بَصَرُكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ فِیْ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ بَلَغَتْهُ عَظَمَتُكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ فِیْ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ وَسِعَتْهُ رَحْمَتُكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ فِیْ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ خَزَاۗئِنُهٗ بِیَدِكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰی مَا اَحَاطَ بِهٖ كِتَابُكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدًا دَاۗئِمًا سَرْمَدًا لَا یَنْقَضِیْ اَبَدًا وَلَا تُحْصٰی لَهُ الْخَلَاۗئِقُ عَدَدًا۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰی عَدَدِ مَا تَسْتَجِیْبُ بِهٖ لِمَنْ دَعَاكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ بِمَحَامِدِكَ كُلِّهَا عَلٰی نِعَمِكَ كُلِّهَا سِرِّهَا وَعَلَانِیَتِهَا وَاَوَّلِهَا وَآخِرِهَا وَظَاهِرِهَا وَبَاطِنِهَا۔

   WALAKA AL-HAMDU FEE KULLI SHAY'IN AHSAYTAHOO 'ADADAN WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ALAA KULLI SHAY'IN NAFAZA FEEHI BASARUKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU FEE KULLI SHAY'IN BALAGHATHU 'AZAMATUKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU FEE KULLI SHAY'IN WASI'ATHU RAHMATUKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU FEE KULLI SHAY'IN KHAZAA'INUHOO BIYADIKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ALAA MAA AHAATA BIHEE KITAABUKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU HAMDAN DAA'IMAN SARMADAN LAA YANQADEE ABADAN WALAA TUHSAA LAHU AL-KHALAA'IQU 'ADADAN. ALLAAHUMMA LAKA AL-HAMDU 'ALAA 'ADADI MAA TASTAJEEBU BIHEE LIMAN DA'AAKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU BIMAHAAMIDIKA KULLIHAA 'ALAA NI'AMIKA KULLIHAA SIRRIHAA WA'ALAANIYATIHAA WAAWWALIHAA WAAAKHIRIHAA WAZAAHIRIHAA WABAATINIHAA.

   O Allah, to You belongs praise for that by which You answer one who calls on You, and to You belongs praise, through all Your praiseworthy qualities, for all Your blessings, the hidden and the manifest, the first and the last, the outward and the inward. O Allah, to You belongs praise for what was and what was not, and to You, belongs praise for what is. O Allah to You belongs praise, an abundant praise just as You have conferred blessings on us. Our Lord, in abundance. O Allah, our Lord to You belongs praise entirely, and in Your hand is the good entirely, and to You returns the affair, entirely, the manifest and the hidden.

   ان تمام چیزوں میں جن کی تعداد کا تونے احاطہ کیا ہے، اور ہر اس چیز کے برابرا تیری حمد کہ جن میں تیری نظر نے اثر کیا ہے، اور تیری حمد ہر اس چیز میں کہ جس تک تیری عظمت پہنچی ہو۔ اور تیری حمد ہر اس چیز میں جس کو تیری رحمت نے اپنی وسعتوں میں لے لیا ہو۔ اور تیری حمد ہر اس چیز میں جس کا خزانہ تیرے قبضۂ قدرت میں ہے۔ اور تیری حمد ہز اس چیز پر جسے تیری کتاب نے جمع کر لیا ہے، اور تیری حمد مسلسل، ہمیشہ، جو کبھی ختم نہ ہو مخلوقات سے جس کے اعداد کا شمار نہ ہو سکے۔ خدا وندا! اتنی مرتبہ تیری حمد جتنی مرتبہ کسی نے تجھ سے دعا کی اور تونے اسے قبول کیا ہو، اور تیری حمد تیری تمام خوبیوں پر، تیری تمام نعمتوں پر، خواہ وہ خفیہ ہوں یا علانیہ، ابتدائی ہوں یا انتہائی، ظاہری ہوں یا باطنی۔

4. اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰی مَاكَانَ وَعَلٰی مَا لَمْ یَكُنْ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰی مَا هُوَاكَاۗئِنٌ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدًا كَثِیْرًا كَمَا اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَیْنَا رَبَّنَا كَثِیْرًا۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كُلُّهٗ وَلَكَ الْمُلْكُ كُلُّهٗ وَبِیَدِكَ الْخَیْرُ كُلُّهٗ وَاِلَیْكَ یَرْجِعُ الْاَمْرِ كُلُّهٗ عَلَانِیَتُهٗ وَسِرَّهٗ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA LAKA AL-HAMDU 'ALAA MAAKAANA WA'ALAA MAA LAM YAKUN WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ALAA MAA HUWAAKAA'INUN. ALLAAHUMMA LAKA AL-HAMDU HAMDAN KATHEERAN KAMAA AN'AMTA 'ALAYNAA RABBANAA KATHEERAN. ALLAAHUMMA RABBANAA LAKA AL-HAMDU KULLUHOO WALAKA AL-MULKU KULLUHOO WABIYADIKA AL-KHAYRU KULLUHOO WAILAYKA YARJI'U AL-AMRI KULLUHOO 'ALAANIYATUHOO WASIRRAHOO.

   O Allah, to You belongs praise for Your trial and Your favour on us, formerly and in recent times, and on me in particular. You created me and guided me, and made good my creation and made good my guidance; You taught me and made good my teaching. So to You belongs praise, O my God for Your goodly trials and favours towards me, for many a distress have You removed from me, and many an anxiety have You dispelled from me, and after many a hardship have You appointed ease. O Allah, to You belongs praise for Your blessings, those of which have been forgotten and those remembered, those for which thanks have been given and those which have been denied, and those which are past and those which continue.

   بار خدایا! تیری حمد اس پر جو ہوچکا اور اس پر جو ابھی نہیں ہوا، اور تیری حمد اس پر جو ہونے والا ہے۔ بار الٰہا! تیری حمد اور زیادہ سے زیادہ اے پروردگار اسی طرح جیسے تونے ہم پر بے حد اور بے حساب نعمتیں نازل کیں۔ خدا وندا! پروردگارا! تمام تر تعریفیں تیرے ہی لئے ہیں، سارے کا سارا ملک تیرا، تمام کی تمام نیکیاں تیرے ہی لئے ہیں، تمام کے تمام معاملات تیرے حضور میں آئینگے، خواہ وہ معاملات خفیہ ہوں یا علانیہ۔

5. اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰی بَلَاۗئِكَ وَصُنْعِكَ عِنْدِنَا قَدِیْمًا وَحَدِیْثًا وَعِنْدِیْ خَاۗصَّۃً خَلَقْتَنِیْ وَهَدَیْتَنِیْ فَاَحْسَنْتَ خَلْقِیْ وَاَحْسَنْتَ هِدَایَتِیْ وَعَلَّمْتَنِیْ فَاَحْسَنْتَ تَعْلِیْمِیْ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ یَا اِلٰهِیْ عَلٰی حُسْنِ بَلَاۗئِكَ وَصُنْعِكَ عِنْدِیْ فَكَمْ مِنْ كَرْبٍ قَدْ كَشَفْتَهٗ عَنِّیْ وَكَمْ مِنْ هَمٍّ قَدْ فَرَّجْتَهٗ عَنِّیْ وَكَمْ مِنْ شِدَّۃٍ جَعَلْتَ بَعْدَهَا رَخَاۗئٍ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA LAKA AL-HAMDU 'ALAA BALAA'IKA WASUN'IKA 'INDINAA QADEEMAN WAHADEETHAN WA'INDEE KHAASSATAN KHALAQTANEE WAHADAYTANEE FAAHSANTA KHALQEE WAAHSANTA HIDAAYATEE WA'ALLAMTANEE FAAHSANTA TA'LEEMEE WALAKA AL-HAMDU YAA ALLAAHEE 'ALAA HUSNI BALAA'IKA WASUN'IKA 'INDEE FAKAM MIN KARBIN QAD KASHAFTAHOO 'ANNEE WAKAM MIN HAMMIN QAD FARRAJTAHOO 'ANNEE WAKAM MIN SHIDDATIN JA'ALTA BA'DAHAA RAKHAA'IN.

   O Allah, to You belongs praise equal to Your forgiveness, and to You belongs praise equal to Your pardon and veiling (of sins), and to You belongs praise equal to Your bounty and blessings, and to You belongs praise for Your setting our affair right and Your goodly trials towards us. O Allah, to You belongs praise, for You are worthy of being praised, worshipped and thanked, O best of those praised, O most merciful of the merciful. O Allah, bless Muhammad (s.a.w.a) and his family, and forgive us with a forgiveness definite and absolute which does not leave out a single sin. O Allah, forgive us and our fathers and our mothers as they raised us when young (17:24) and made us well disciplined when older.

   بار الٰہا! تیری حمد، تیری بلاؤں پر بھی اور احسانات پر بھی، نئے ہو یا پرانے، خاص کر جو احسان مجھ پر کیئے کہ مجھے خلق (پیدا) کیا، میری راہنمائی فرمائی، اور تخلیق بھی کتنی حسین، راہنمائی بھی بہترین راہنمائی، تعلیم دی تو بہترین تعلیم دی۔ اے معبود! تیری حمد تیری اچھی آزمائشوں اور میرے اوپر تیری نعمتوں کی وجہ سے، کتنی سختیاں تھیں جنہیں تونے برطرف کیا اور کتنے ہی ایسے رنج ہیں جنہیں تونے مجھ سے دور کیا، اور کتنی ہی ایسی دشواریاں تھیں جن کے بعد آسانیاں پیدا کیں۔

6. اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰی نِعَمِكَ مَا نُسِیَ مِنْهَا وَمَا ذُكِرَ وَمَا شُكِرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا كُفِرَ وَمَا مَضٰی مِنْهَا وَمَا بَقِیَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ عَفْوِكَ وَسَتْرِكَ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ تَفَضُّلِكَ وَنِعَمِكَ، وَلَكَ الْحِمْدُ بِاِصْلَاحِكَ اَمْرَنَا وَحُسْنِ بَلَاۗئِكَ عِنْدَنَا۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحِمْدُ فَاَنْتَ اَهْلٌ اَنْ تُحْمَدَ وَتُعْبَدَ وَتُشْكَرَ یَا خَیْرَ الْمَحْمُوْدِیْنَ، یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA LAKA AL-HAMDU 'ALAA NI'AMIKA MAA NUSIYA MINHAA WAMAA ZUKIRA WAMAA SHUKIRA MINHAA WAMAA KUFIRA WAMAA MADAA MINHAA WAMAA BAQIYA. ALLAAHUMMA LAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA MAGHFIRATIKA, WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA 'AFWIKA WASATRIKA WALAKA AL-HAMDU 'ADADA TAFADDULIKA WANI'AMIKA, WALAKA AL-HIMDU BIISLAAHIKA AMRANAA WAHUSNI BALAA'IKA 'INDANAA. ALLAAHUMMA LAKA AL-HIMDU FAANTA AHLUN AN TUHMADA WATU'BADA WATUSHKARA YAA KHAYRA AL-MAHMOODEENA, YAA ARHAMA AR-RAAHIMEENA.

   O Allah, grant us and them of Your mercy, the most exalted and abundant, and of Your gardens, the highest and most elevated, and make incumbent on us that of Your pleasure which will comfort us, and remove for us our sorrows and remove from us our anxieties about the affair of our religion and our (life in) this world, make us content with what You have prepared for us of Your sustenance, forgive us and grant us well-being as long as You give us life, and “…give us in this world good and good in the hereafter, and guard us against the torment of the Fire” (2:201) and Allah’s blessings on Muhammad (s.a.w.a) and his family.

   بار الٰہا! تیری حمد ان نعمتوں پر جن میں کچھ بھول گیا ہوں کچھ کا شکر ادا کیا گیا ہے، کچھ کا کفران کیا، کچھ گذار چکی ہیں کچھ باقی ہیں۔ اے خدا وند کریم! تیری معافیوں کی تعداد کے مطابق تیری حمد اور تیری مغفرت و پردہ پوشی کی گنتی کے موافق تیری حمد، تیرے تفضّل و انعامات کے برابر تیری حمد، میرے معاملات کی اصلاح اور ہمارے اوپر تیری بہترین آزمائشوں پر تیری حمد۔ بار الٰہا! تیری حمد و تعریف کہ تو حمد و عبادت و شکر کا حقیقی مستحق ہے، اے قابل تعریف مخلوق میں سب سے بہتر اور اے رحم کرنے والوں میں سب سے بڑے رحم کرنے والے۔

7. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   ALLAHUMMA SWALLE ALAA MUHAMMADIW WA AALE MUHAMMADIN

   Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.

   اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
