Dua for Urgent Need

اہم ضرورت کے وقت کی دعا

1. Imam Musa ibn Ja’far (a) is reported to have said to Suma’ah: If you have an urgent need to be granted by Almighty Allah, you should say this supplicatory prayer…

   منقول ہے کہ امام موسیٰ کاظمؑ نے سما عہ سے فرمايا: اے سماعہ جب بھی تمہيں کو ئی مشکل پيش آئے تو يہ دعا پڑھا کرو۔۔۔

2. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

3. اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلِيْ فَاِنَّ لَهُمَا عِنْدَكَ شَاْنًا مِنَ الشَّاْنِ وَقَدْرًا مِنَ الْقَدْرِ فَبِحَقِّ ذٰلِكَ الْشَّاْنِ وَبِحَقِّ ذٰلِكَ الْقَدْرِ اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَنْ تَفْعَلْ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALOKA BE-HAQQE MOHAMMADIW WA ‘ALI FA-INNA LAHO-MAA ‘INDA-KA SHAA-NAN ME-NASH SHAA-NE WA QAD-RAN MENAL QADRE FABE-HAQQE ZAALE-KASH SHAA-NE WA BE-HAQQE ZAALE-KAL QADRE AN TO-SALLE-YA ‘ALAA MOHAMMADIW WA AALE MOHAMMADIN WA AN TAF’AL.

   O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Muhammad and `Ali, for they both enjoy a remarkable standing with You and a significant status; so, (I beseech You) in the name of this standing and in the name of this status (please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

   اے معبود! ميں تجھ سے محمدؐ و علیؑ کے حق کے ذريعے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ تيرے حضور ان دونوں کا خاص مرتبہ اور بلند منزلت ہے، پس ان کے اس مر تبے اور ان کی منزلت کے واسطے سے سوال کرتاہوں کہ تو محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت فرما اور يہ کہ ميری يہ اور يہ حاجت پوری فرما۔

4. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   ALLAHUMMA SWALLE ALAA MUHAMMADIW WA AALE MUHAMMADIN

   Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.

   اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔

5. You may now submit your request. Indeed, on the Resurrection Day, all archangels, missioned prophets, and tested faithful believers will be in need for Muhammad and Ali, Allah’s peace be upon them and their Household.

   کذاو کذا کی جگہ اپنی حاجات پيش کرے کيونکہ قيامت کے روز ہر مقرب فرشتے ہر نبی مرسل اور ہر رنج زده مومن کو محمد مصطفیؐ اور حضرت علیؑ کی ضرورت ہو گی۔

6. Ibn Abi’l-Hadid has reported the following incident from Imam Ali Amir Mu’minin (a): One day, I asked the Holy Prophet (s) to implore God to forgive me. Responding to me, the Holy Prophet (s) stood up, offered a prayer, and raised his hands for supplicating. Listening carefully to him, I heard him saying…

   مؤلف کہتے ہيں کہ ابن ابی الحديد نے حضرت امير المومنيؑن سے نقل کيا ہے کہ آپ نے فرما يا جب ميں نے رسول خدا سے عر ض کيا کہ آپ ميری مغفرت کے لئے دعا فرمائيں تو آنحضرتؐ نے ارشا د فرمايا ہاں ضرور دعا کرو ں گا پھر آپ کھڑے ہو گئے اور نماز ادا کر نے کے بعد دعا کے لئے ہاتھ اٹھا ئے ميں نے حضور کی دعا پر کان لگا ئے اور سنا کہ آپ فر ما رہے تھے۔۔۔

7. اَللّٰهُمَّ بِحَقِّ عَلِيْ عِنْدَكَ اِغْفِرْ لِعَلِيْ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA BE-HAQQE ALI ‘INDA-KA IGH-FIRLE ‘ALI.

   O Allah, (I beseech You) in the name of `Ali’s standing with You, (please) forgive `Ali.

   اے معبود! علیؑ کا واسطہ جو تيرے یہا ں صاحب مقام ہيں ان کی خاطر مجھے بخش دے۔

8. Surprisingly, I said to him, “O Allah’s Messenger, what kind of supplication is this?” He (s) answered, “Can I find any other person who is dearer to Allah than you are so that I can beseech Him in his name?”

   اس پر ميں نے کہا يا رسول اللهؐ يہ کيسی دعا ہے؟ جو آپؐ نے مانگی آنحضرتؐ نے فر مايا، يا علیؑ آيا لله کے نزديک کو ئی تم سے زيا ده منزلت وا لا ہے کہ ميں اس کے وسيلے سے دعاکرو ں۔
