یہ روایت بھی ہے کہ امام جعفر صادقؑ یہ پڑھا کرتے تھے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
يَا نُوْرُ يَا قُدُّوْسُ يَا اَوَّلَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَيَا آخِرَ الْآخِرِيْنَ يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا رَحِيْمُ اِغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تُغَيِّرُ النِّعَمَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تُحِلُّ النِّقَمَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تَهْتِكُ الْعِصَمَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تُنْزِلُ الْبَلَآءَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تُدِيْلُ الْاَعْدَآءَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تُعَجِّلُ الْفَنَآءَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تَقْطَعُ الرِّجَآءَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تُظْلِمُ الْهَوَآءَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تَكْشِفُ الْغِطَآءَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تَرُدُّ الدُّعَآءَ وَاغْفِرْ لِىَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِىْ تَرُدُّ غَيْثَ السَّمَآءِ۔
Yaa nooru yaa quddoosu yaa awwala al-awwaleena wayaa aakhira al-aakhireena yaa rahmaanu yaa raheemu ighfir liya az-zunooba allatee tughayyiru an-ni'ama waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee tuhillu an-niqama waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee tahtiku al-'isama waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee tunzilu al-balaa'a waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee tudeelu al-a'daa'a waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee tu'ajjilu al-fanaa'a waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee taqta'u ar-rijaa'a waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee tuzlimu al-hawaa'a waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee takshifu al-ghitaa'a waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee taruddu ad-du'aa'a waghfir liya az-zunooba allatee taruddu ghaytha as-samaa'.
O Light! O All-holy! O Foremost of all first things! O Last of all last things! O All-beneficent! O All-merciful! (Please) forgive me those sins that alter blessings! Forgive me those sins that make fall punishments! Forgive me those sins that tear apart safeguards! Forgive me those sins that draw down tribulations! Forgive me those sins that give ascendancy to the enemies! Forgive me those sins that hasten extinction! Forgive me those sins that cut off hope! Forgive me those sins that darken atmospheres! Forgive me those sins that uncover the covering! Forgive me those sins that cause prayers to be rejected! Forgive me those sins that preclude the water of the sky.
اے روشن کرنے والے! اے پاک تر، اے پہلوں سے پہلے اور پچھلوں سے پچھلے، اے بڑے رحم والے، اے مہربان میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو نعمتوں سے محرومی کا باعث ہیں میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو عذاب کا سبب ہیں اور میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو پردہ فاش کرنے کا سبب ہیں اور میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو نزولِ بلا کا سبب ہیں اور میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو دشمنوں کو جرأت دلاتے ہیں، میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو تباہی میں جلدی کا سبب ہیں، میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو امیدیں قطع کر دیتے ہیں، میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو ماحول کو بگاڑتے ہیں، میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو شرم کا پردہ چاک کرتے ہیں، میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو دعاؤں کو رد کراتے ہیں اور میرے وہ گناہ بخش دے جو بارش میں رکاوٹ ڈالتے ہیں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
