یونس سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت امام علی رضاؑ کی خدمت میں عرض کیا : مجھے کوئی مختصر سی دعا تعلیم فرمائیں تو آپ ؑ نے فرمایا : یو ں کہا کرو۔۔۔
يَا مَنْ دَلَّنِىْ عَلٰى نَفْسِهٖ، وَذَلَّلْ قَلْبِىْ بِتَصْدِيْقِهٖ،اَسْئَلُكَ اَلَامَنْ وَالْاِيْمَانِ۔
YAA MAN DALLA-NEE ‘ALAA NAFSE-HI, WA ZALLAL QALBEE BE-TASDEE-QEHI, AS-ALOKA ALAA MAN WAL EEMAAN.
O He Who has guided me to Himself and humiliated my heart by testifying to Him, I beseech You for security and faith.
اے وہ جس نے اپنی طرف میری رہنمائی فرمائی، جس کی تصدیق سے میرا دل رام ہوا، تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں امن و ایمان کا۔
