منقول ہے کہ ا مام جعفر صادق ؑ نے اپنے ہاتھ آسمان کی طرف بلند کیے پھر اس طرح دعا مانگی۔۔۔
رَبِّ لَاتَكِلْنِىْ اِلٰى نَفْسِىْ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ اَبَدًا لَا اَقَلَّ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ وَلَا اَكْثَرَ۔
RABBE LAA TAKIL-NEE ILAA NAFSEE TAR-FATA ‘AIY-NIN ABA-DAN LAA A-QALLA MIN ZAALE-KA WA LAA AKSAR.
O my Lord, never relegate me to myself even for a winking of an eye, less than that, or more than that.
پالنے والے مجھے کبھی پلک جھپکنے کے وقت کے برابر بھی میرے نفس کے حوالے نہ کرنا نہ ہی اس سے کم یا زیا د ہ وقت کے لیے۔
