Dua Shaybah Al-Hudhali

دعا شيبہ ہذلی

1. Kulayni, Ibn Baabwayh, and others have reported through valid chains of authority that Imam Muhammad Baqir (a) related the following: One day, a man called Shaybah Hudhali came to the Holy Prophet (s) and asked, “O Allah’s Messenger, I am an old man; I am too old and too weak to do acts of worship that I used to do, such as prayers, fasting, going on Hajj and jihad. So, please teach me some words by which Almighty Allah will benefit me and make them as easy as possible for me.” The Holy Prophet (s) asked the man to repeat his request 3 times. Then the Holy Prophet (s) answered, “All trees and rocks around you have wept for you out of mercy. If you say so, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, will save you from blindness, lunacy, leprosy, poverty, and senility.” When you accomplish the Dawn Prayer, you may repeat the following doxology 10 times…

   شيخ کلينیؒ ،ابن بابويہؒ اور ديگر محدّثين نے معتبر اسناد کے ساتھ امام محمد اقرؑ سے روايت کی ہے کہ شيبہ ہذلی نے رسول اللهؐ کی خدمت میں عرض کيا: يارسول اللهؐ ! میں بوڑھا ہو چکا ہوں، ميرے اعضاء اب ان اعمال کے بجا لانے سے عاجز ہو گئے جن کا میں پہلے سے عادی تھا، يعنی نماز، روزه، حج اور جہاد و غيره تو اب آپ مجھے ايسا کلام تعليم فرمائيں جو ميرے ليے آسان ہو اور مفيد بھی ہو اس پر آنحضرتؐ نے فرمايا کہ پھر کہو تم کيا کہنا چاہتے ہو؟ تب اس نے اپنے الفاظ کو ۲۔۳ مرتبہ دہرايا، يہ سُن کر حضورؐ نے فرمايا تير ے سا تھ ہمدردی کے لئے اردگرد کے تمام درخت اور مٹی کے ڈھيلے روپڑے ہيں، اس کلام کی برکت سے خدا تم کو اندھے پن، ديوانگی، برص، جذام، پريشانی اور فضول گوئی سے نجات دے گا ، پس جب تم نماز فجر سے فارغ ہو جائو تو ۱۰ مرتبہ کہو۔۔۔

2. سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَبِحَمْدِهٖ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ۔

   SUBHAA-NAL LAAHIL A’ZEEME WA BE-HAMDE-HI WA LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BIL LAAHIL A’LIYYIL A’ZEEME.

   All glory be to Allah, the All-great and in praise of Him; and there is neither might nor power save with Allah, the All-high and All-great.

   پاک ہے خدائے برتر اور تعریف سب اسی کی ہے اور نہیں کوئی طاقت وقوت مگر جووہ جو خدائے بلند وبرتر سے ملتی ہے۔

3. The man said, “This was for worldly affairs; what do you have for me for the Hereafter?” The Holy Prophet (s) said, “You may say the following supplicatory prayer after accomplishing every prayer. If this man comes on the Resurrection Day abiding by these supplicatory prayers without neglecting them deliberately, all the eight gates of Paradise will be opened before him so that he can enter from any gate he wishes.” However, according to another tradition that is reported through valid chains of authority, a different supplicatory prayer has been mentioned…

   شيبہ نے کہا يا رسول الله ! يہ تو ميری دُنيا کے ليے ہے، ميری آخرت کے ليے بھی تو کچھ فرمائيں تب حضور اکرمؐ نے فرمايا کہ ہر نماز کے بعد نیچے دیئے ہوئی دعا کو پڑھوں۔ آنحضرتؐ نے يہ بھی فرمايا کہ اگر کوئی شخص اس دُعا کو پا بندی کے ساتھ پڑھتا رہے اور مرتے دم تک اسے جان بوجھ کر ترک نہ کرے تو جب وه ميدان حشر میں آئيگا تو اس کے لئے بہشت کے آٹھوں دروازے کھول ديئے جائيں گے اور اسے يہ اختيار ديا جائيگا کہ وه جس دروازے سے چاہے داخل ہوجائے۔۔۔

4. اَللّٰهُمَّ اهْدِنِىْ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَاَفِضْ عَلَىَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَانْشُرْ عَلَىَّ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ وَاَنْزِلْ عَلَىَّ مِنْ بَرَكَاتِكَ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA AHDE-NEE MIN IN’DE-KA WA A-FEEZ A’LAIYYA MIN FAZLE-KA WAN-SHUR A’LAIYYA MIR RABBE-KA WA ANZIL A’LAIYYA MIN BARA-KAATE-KA.

   O my Allah make me find the right way under thy guidance, single me out for bestowing upon me Thy bounties, spread out and make me accessible for me Thy mercy, let Thy blessings come down and put up with me.

   اے اﷲ!اپنی جانب سے میری رہنمائی فرما اورمجھ پر اپنا فضل وکرم فرما، اور مجھ پر اپنی رحمت پھیلا دے اور مجھ پر اپنی برکات نازل فرما۔
