In his book of Miqbas Masabih, Allamah Majlisi says: Imam Sadiq (a) is reported through valid chains of authority to have said: There are 3 hours at night and 3 others at day at which Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, glorifies Himself. The 3 hours of days begin when the sun in the east side is in the same rising in the afternoon on the other (west) side; that is at early forenoon. The 3 hours of night begin at the last third of night up to dawn. If any servant glorifies Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, at these hours with full heart presence, Almighty Allah will settle his needs, and if he is unhappy (because of sinning), I expect that he will be made happy. It is most suitable to say the following words of glorification at these hours…
مقباس المصابیح میں علامہ مجلسیؒ فرماتے ہیں کہ معتبر اسناد کے ساتھ امام جعفر صادقؑ سے منقول ہے کہ حق سبحانہ و تعالیٰ دن کی ۳ ساعتوں میں اور رات کی ۳ ساعتوں میں اپنی ذات کی بزرگی اور بڑائی بیان فرماتا ہے ان میں دن کی ۳ ساعتیں ، وقت چاشت سے اول ظہر تک اور رات کی ۳ ساعتیں رات کی آخری تہائی سے صبح تک ہیں، پس جو بندہ مومن ان مذکورہ ساعتوں میں درج ذیل تمجید پڑھے اور اس کا دل خدا سے لگا ہو تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی حاجات پوری فرمائے گا، اگر وہ بد بخت و بد انجام ہے تو خوش بخت و نیک انجام ہو جائے گا ۔ مؤلف کہتے ہیں کہ اگر ان ساعتوں میں یہ دعا پڑھے تو بہت مناسب ہے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ الرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِيْمُ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ الْعَلِىُّ الْكَبِيْرُ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ مَلِكُ يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِيْمُ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ مِنْكَ بَدْءُ الْخَلْقِ وَاِلَيْكَ يَعُوْدُ اَنْتَ اللهُ الَّذِىْ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ لَمْ تَزَلْ وَلَاتَزَالُ اَنْتَ اللهُ الَّذِىْ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ خَالِقُ الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ خَالِقُ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ الْاَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُوْلَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ الْقُدُّوْسُ السَّلَامُ الْمُؤْمِنُ الْمُهَيْمِنُ الْعَزِيْزُ الْجَبَّارُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ اَنْتَ اللهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ لَكَ الْاَسْمَآءُ الْحُسْنٰى يُسَبِّحُ لَكَ مَا فِى السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَاَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَااِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ الْكَبِيْرُ الْمُتَعَالِ وَالْكِبْرِيَآءُ رِدَآؤُكَ۔
Anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta rabbu al-'aalameena anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta ar-rahmaanu ar-raheemu anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta al-'aliyyu al-kabeeru anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta maliku yawmi ad-deeni anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta al-ghafooru ar-raheemu anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta al-'azeezu al-hakeemu anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta minka bad'u al-khalqi wa-ilayka ya'oodu anta allaahu allazee laa ilaaha illaa anta lam tazal walaatazaalu anta allaahu allazee laa ilaaha illaa anta khaaliqu al-khayri wash-sharri anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta khaaliqu al-jannati wan-naari anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta al-ahadu as-samadu lam yalid walam yoolad walam yakun lahoo kufuwan ahadun anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta al-maliku al-quddoosu as-salaamu al-mu'minu al-muhayminu al-'azeezu al-jabbaaru al-mutakabbiru subhaana allaahi 'ammaa yushrikoona anta allaahu al-khaaliqu al-baari'u al-musawwiru laka al-asmaa'u al-husnaa yusabbihu laka maa fee as-samaawaati wal-ardi wa-anta al-'azeezu al-hakeemu anta allaahu laa ilaaha illaa anta al-kabeeru al-muta'aali wal-kibriyaa'u ridaa'uk.
You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Lord of the Worlds. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the All-High, the All-great. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Master of the Judgment Day. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the All-forgiving, the All-merciful. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Almighty, the All-wise. You are Allah; there is no god save You, from You is the beginning of all things and to You do all things return. You are Allah; there is no god save You, You have been always existent and You will always be existent. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Creator of good and evil. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Creator of Paradise and Hell. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the One and the eternally besought of all. He begets not nor was begotten and there is none comparable to Him. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the King, the All-holy, the Giver of peace, the Granter of security, the Guardian over all, the Almighty, the Omnipotent, and the Grand. Glory be to Allah from what they set up with Him. You are Allah; the Creator, the Originator, and the Fashioner. Yours are the most excellent names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth declares Your glory; and You are the Almighty, the All-wise. You are Allah; there is no god save You, the Great, the Most High. Grandeur is Your dress.
تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو کہ جہانوں کا پروردگار ہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو کہ بڑے رحم والا مہربان ہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو کہ بلند تر و بزرگ تر ہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو قیامت کے دن کا مالک ہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو کہ مہربان پردہ پوش ہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو کہ غلبے والا اور حکمت والاہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو کہ تجھ سے ہر چیز کی ابتداء اور تیری ہی طرف بازگشت ہے، تو معبود ہے وہ کہ نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو کہ ہمیشہ سے ہے ہمیشہ رہے گا، تو وہ معبود ہے کہ نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو ہے جو خیر و شر کا خالق ہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو ہے جو جنت و جہنم کاخالق ہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو جو یگانہ و بے نیاز ہے جس نے نہ جنا اور نہ جنا گیا اور نہ کوئی اس کا ہم پلہ ہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو کہ بادشاہ ہے پاک صفات سلامتی والا امن دینے والا نگہبان عزت والا زبردست بڑائی والا اللہ پاک ہر اس چیز سے جسے اس کا شریک بناتے ہیں، تو معبود ہے جو پیدا کرنے والا سنوارنے والا صورت بنانے والا تیرے لیے اچھے اچھے نام ہیں تیری تسبیح کرتے ہیں جو آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہیں اور تو غلبے والا حکمت والا ہے، تو معبود ہے نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو کہ بڑائی بلندی اور بزرگی تیرا لباس ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
