Dua to remember the things you forget
بہت زیادہ بھولنے سے بچنے کی دعا
A short supplication for recalling what one has forgotten. After sending salawat upon the Prophet and his Household, the reciter asks Allah — who reminds people of good, does it and commands it — to bring back to mind what Satan has caused them to forget. It is recited when something needed has slipped from memory.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ، اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ يَا مَذْكَرِّ الْخَيْرَ وَفَاعَلِهٖ، وَالْاَمْرِ بِهٖ، ذُكَرَّنِىْ مَا اِنْسَانِيْهِ الشَّيْطَانَ۔
Sallal-laaho ‘alaa mohammadiw wa aale-hi, allaahumma innee as-aloka yaa mazkar-ril khaira wa faa’ale-hi, wal amre behi, zo-karra-nee maa insaa-nee-hish shaitaan.
May Allah send blessings upon Muhammad and his family. O Allah, I ask You O You who remind (people) of khair (good), who do it, and who command it make me remember what Satan has made me forget.
خدا رحمت کرے محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ پر، اے معبود! میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں، اے خیر کو یاد دلانے اس پر عمل کرنے والے اور اس کا حکم دینے والے مجھے یاد دلا جو شیطان نے مجھے بھلا دیا۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
بِسْمِ اللهِ، اَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الرِّجْسِ الْنَجِسِ الْخَبِيْثِ الْمُخْبِثِ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ۔
Bismil-laahe, a‘oozo billaa-he menar-rij-sil naje-sal khabee-sal mukh-be-sish shaitaa-nir rajeem.
In the Name of Allah (I begin) and in Allah (I trust). I pray Allah’s protection against the filthy, the impure, the wicked, and the source of wickedness; namely, Satan the accursed.
خدا کے نام سے خدا کی پناہ لیتا ہوں پلید نجس خبیث آلودہ کرنے والے دھتکارے ہوئے شیطان سے۔
