برقیؒ نے محاسن میں موثق سند کے ساتھ امام علی رضاؑ سے روایت کی ہے کہ جو شخص ہر صبح و شام ۳ مرتبہ یہ پڑھے تو اسے نہ شیطان سے ڈرنا چاہیئے نہ کسی حکومت سے اور نہ برص و جذام سے خوف کھانا چاہیئے، پھر آپؑ نے فرمایا: میں تو یہ کلمات ۱۰۰ مرتبہ کہتا ہوں۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ۔
BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEMI LAA HAWLA WALAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHI AL-'ALIYYI AL-'AZEEM.
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. There is neither might nor power save with Allah, the All-high and All-great.
اﷲ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے نہیں کوئی حرکت وقوت مگرخدائے بزرگ وبرتر سے ملتی ہے۔

تا ہم نماز فجر اور مغرب کی تعقیبات میں انہیں ۷ مرتبہ پڑھنے کا ذکر بھی آیا ہے۔
