It has arrived in the book Al Mukhtar min Kalemaatil Imam al-Mahdi (a): With regards to the Istekhara through chaplet, such Istekhara is permissible which is narrated from Imam Mahdi (a). One of the clerics permitted me to perform this Istekhara so that I can perform it for myself and also permitted me to allow others to perform it. Therefore, with respect to the permission I was granted, in the context of explaining how to perform this Istekhara, I give permission to everyone so that they can perform Istekhara in the following way: Begin by saying…
المختار من کلمات الامام المھدی کا مصنف کہتے ہیں کہ ہم تسبیح کے ساتھ استخارہ میں ایک مجازی طریقہ رکھتے ہیں کہ جو حضرت حجت کے ساتھ متصل ہے علماء میں سے ایک نے مجھے اجازت دی ہے کہ اس طریقہ پر استخارہ انجام دوں دوسروں کو بھی اجازت دیتاہوں میں نے بھی بعض کو اس طریقہ کی اجازت دی ہے اور وہ استخارہ اس طرح ہے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEM
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
Then recite Salawaat 3 times…
پھر ۳ مرتبہ درود پڑھے۔۔۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
ALLAAHUMMA SALLI 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA-AALI MUHAMMAD.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
And then recite a short supplication like this one…
اس کے بعد ایک مختصر دعا پڑھے مثال کے طور پر یوں پڑھے۔۔۔
یَا مَنْ یَعْلَمُ اِهْدِ مَنْ لَا یَعْلَمُ۔
YAA MAN YA'LAMU IHDI MAN LAA YA'LAM.
O He who knows, guide someone who doesn’t know.
اے جاننے والے! ہدایت کر اس کی جو نہیں جانتا۔
or say…
یا یوں کہے۔۔۔
یَا رَبِّ خِرْلِیْ مَا هُوَ الصَّالِحُ۔
YAA RABBI KHIRLEE MAA HUWA AS-SAALIH.
O Lord, select for me what is good for me.
اے پالنے والے! میرے لئے منتخب فرما جو میرے لئے بہتر ہو۔
or any other similar supplication. After reciting the short supplication, hold a portion of the chaplet and count; if the number was odd, perform your intended work; and if the number was even, forsake it.
اس کے بعد حضرت تسبیح کو مٹھی میں لیتے تھے اور شمار کرتے تھے اگر ایک دانہ باقی رہ جاتا اس کام کو انجام دیتے تھے اور اگر جفت رہتا تو اس کو ترک کرتے تھے۔
