Sayed Ibn Taaoos (r) says, ‘I have mentioned in the book ‘al-Asraar al-Mooda-a’h Fee Saa-a’at al-Lail wa al-Nahaar’ that every hour of the day has been attributed with an infallible Imam (a) and there are two particular supplications for that hour, out of which one has been narrated by my grandfather Shaikh Toosi (r) and the other one has been narrated by the chain of Ibn Maqlah: The first hour is attributed to Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a), second hour with Imam Hasan (a), third hour with Imam Hussain (a), fourth hour with Imam Sajjad (a), fifth hour with Imam Mohammad Baqir (a), sixth hour with Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a), seventh hour with Imam Moosa Kazim (a), eight hour with Imam Ali Reza (a), ninth hour with Imam Jawad (a), tenth hour with Imam Hadi (a), eleventh hour with Imam Hasan Askari (a) and the twelfth hour has been attributed to our master Imam Mahdi (a). Sayed ibn Taaoos (r) says that one should recite the supplication which is attributed to the said hour. It makes no difference if it is summer during which days are longer or it is winter when the days are shorter. The days should be allotted twelve hours and one should recite the duas attributed to that particular hour. سید ابن طاؤس فرماتے ہے: میں نے کتاب الاسرار المودعہ فی ساعت اللیل وا النہار میں بیان فرماتے ہے کہ دن کا ہر ایک گھنٹا معصوم امامؑ سے منصوب ہے اور اُس کے مناسبت سے یہاں پر ۲ دعایں ہیں، اُس میں سے ایک میرے جد شیخ طوسی سے روایت ہے اور دوسری روایت ابن مقلہ سے ہے۔ دن کا پہلا گھنٹہ امام علی ابن ابی طالبؑ سے منسوب ہے، دوسرا گھنٹہ امام حسنؑ سے، تیسرا گھنٹہ امام حسینؑ سے، چوتھا گھنٹہ امام سجادؑ سے، پانچواں گھنٹہ امام محمد باقرؑ سے، چھٹا گھنٹہ امام جعفر صادقؐ سے، ساتواں گھنٹہ امام موسی کاظمؑ سے، آٹھواں گھنٹہ امام علی رضاؑ سے، نوا گھنٹہ امام محمد تقی الجوادؑ سے، دسوا گھنٹہ امام علی نقی الہدیؑ سے، گیارہواں گھنٹہ امام حسن عسکریؑ سے اور بارہواں گھنٹہ امام مہدیؑ سے، کہ دعاؤں کو اُس گھنٹے کے حساب سے پڑھنا چاہیے کہ جو گھنٹہ جس امامؑ سے منصوب ہے۔ اس سے کوئی فرق نہیں پڑھتا ہے کہ گرمی کے موسم میں دن لمبے ہوتے ہو یا ٹھنڈی کے موسم میں دن چھوٹے ہوتے ہو۔ دن کے ۱۲ گھنٹوں کے حساب سے جو گھنٹہ جس امامؑ سے منسوب ہو اُس وقت اُس امامؑ کی دعا پڑھنی چاہیے، تو اگر تم سفر کے لئے کسی مخصوص وقت پر نکلوں تو اس دعا کو پڑھو جو معصوم امامؑ سے منصوب ہے۔۔۔

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

اَللّٰہُمَّ بَلِّغْ مَوْلَانَا فُلَانًا صَلَوَاتُ اللہِ عَلَیْہِ اِنَّنِیْ اُسَلِّمُ عَلَیْہِ وَاِنَّنِیْ اَتَوَجَّہُ اِلَیْہِ بِاِقْبَالِكَ عَلَیْہِ فِیْ اَنْ یَكُوْنَ خَفَارَتِیْ وَحِمَایَتِیْ وَسَلَامَتِیْ وَكَمَالُ سَعَادَتِیْ ضِمَانَہَا بِكَ عَلَیْہِ حَیْثُ قَدْ تَوَجَّہْتُ فِیْ السَّاعَۃِ الَّتِیْ جَعَلْتَہٗ كَالْـخَفِیْرِ فِیْہَا وَحَدِیْثِہَا فِیْ ذٰلِكَ اِلَیْہِ۔

Allaahumma balligh mawlaanaa folaanan salawaatul laahe a’layhe innanee osallemo a’layhe wa innanee atawajjaho elayhe be-iqbaaleka a’layhe fee an yakoona khafaaratee wa hemaayatee wa salaamatee wa kamaalo saa’adatee zamaanahaa beka a’layhe hayso qad tawajjahto fis saa-a’til latee ja-a’ltahu kal-khafeere feehaa wa hadeesehaa fee zaaleka elayhe.

O Allah! Convey to our master, so and so, Allah’s blessings be upon him, that I send salutation upon him, and I turn towards him for Your closeness to him, to be my guardian, my protector, my safety and complete happiness because of the guarantee on him by You, certainly when I turned to him in the hour which You have appointed him as the guard in it and protector towards it.

خدا یا! میرے مولا (فلاںؑ) تک پہنچا دے کہ میں انہیں سلام کر رہا ہوں اور تیرے ذریعہ ان کی طرف توجہ کر رہا ہوں کہ میری حفاظت و حمایت و سلامت و سعادت سب تیرے ذریعہ ان کے ذمہ ہیں اور میں اس وقت میں ان کی طرف متوجہ ہوں جس وقت میں تو نے انہیں میرا حافظ و معتمد قرار دیا ہے۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin

Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔

When you reach to your destination at a specified hour, recite the supplication to which that hour has been attributed to one of the infallible Imam (a) or when you want to restart from that place, send salutation on that Imam (a) as if you are close to him and while addressing him say that ‘I declare you as custodian at this hour. Had the Almighty Allah not wanted you to do that work, He would have not guided you towards it.’ When you acted in this manner and recited the related supplication then all your movements and staying shall be considered as worship and will be caused for your bliss and good luck in the Hereafter.

جب تم کسی مقررہ وقت پر اپنی منزل پر پہنچو تو اس وقت کے لیے جو دعا کسی معصوم امامؑ سے منسوب ہے، وہ دعا پڑھو۔ اور جب تم وہاں سے دوبارہ سفر شروع کرنا چاہو تو اسی امامؑ پر سلام بھیجو، جیسے تم اُن کے قریب ہو۔ پھر اُنہیں مخاطب کر کے کہو: میں اس گھڑی میں آپ کو اپنا نگہبان / سرپرست قرار دیتا ہوں۔ اگر اللہ تعالیٰ کو یہ کام منظور نہ ہوتا تو وہ مجھے اس کی طرف رہنمائی نہ کرتا۔ جب تم اس طرح کرو گے اور متعلقہ دعا پڑھو گے تو تمہاری تمام آمد و رفت اور قیام عبادت شمار ہوگا، اور یہ آخرت میں تمہاری خوش بختی اور کامیابی کا سبب بنے گا۔
