1. Supplication to be protected from the trouble of Dajjaal.

2. It has been narrated from Ma’aaz bin Jabal that he said: One day, the Holy Prophet (s) sent me to Abdullah bin Salaam while his holiness was surrounded by a group of his companions. Abdullah bin Salaam came near the Holy Prophet (s), his holiness said: O Abdullah, inform me about those ten words which were taught by Allah (swt) to Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) on the day when he was to be thrown in fire. Have you found those words written in your Torah? Abdullah said: O Messenger of Allah, my parents be sacrificed upon you, has anything about those ten words revealed upon you? Certainly I have seen the reward of reciting them in Torah but haven t come across those ten supplications which have the Ism-e-Aazam of Allah in each one of them. Holy Prophet (s) said: Did Allah teach those words to Prophet Musa (a)? Abdullah said: Allah did not teach them to anyone except Prophet Ibrahim (a). Holy Prophet (s) said: What have you seen regarding its reward in Torah? Abdullah said: O Allah’s Messenger, who has the power to attain such a reward? I saw in Torah that it was written: There is no slave upon whom the Lord has bestowed His grace by placing these words in his heart but that his eyes have been illuminated and certainty has been placed in his heart, and his chest is broadened for the acceptance of faith, and a light is allotted for him which rises from where he sits towards the sky; and the Lord praises him twice a day before the angels and grants wisdom in his tongue and blesses him with the memorization of the book, even though he might not be greedy for this reward; and he makes him a jurisprudent and scholar of the religion, and places his love in the hearts of His slaves, and protects him from the punishments of the grave, and the schemes of Dajjal, and from the great fear of the Day of Resurrection. And God may resurrect him among the group of martyrs; honor him and bless him with the dignity and greatness which has been bestowed by Him upon his Prophets, and such a person will remain fearless on the day when all humans will be filled with fear, and they will not be sorrowful on the day when all the people will be sorrowful, and his name will be written as Siddeeq (the truthful) near Allah, and he will resurrect on the Day of Resurrection while his heart will be peaceful and satisfied, and he will be under the shadow of the dignified men along with Prophet Ibrahim (a). By the grace of this supplication, a worshipper will be bestowed with whatever he desires from God; and if he adjures God, God will act upon his vow, and he will be situated on the majestic position (heaven) in the vicinity of the Merciful God, and all the rewards of the martyrs from the beginning of world’s creation will be written for him. Holy Prophet (s) asked: What is meant by the majestic position? Abdullah says: It means the Eden gardens and it is the place of the Almighty God and His Holy Threshold. Ibn e Salaam said: O Messenger of Allah, teach us that supplication and be gracious upon us just as God has bestowed His grace upon you. Prophet (s) said: Prostrate before the God Almighty. Ma’aaz bin Jabal said: All of them prostrated, and when they lifted their heads from prostration, the holy Prophet (s) said: recite…

   معاذ بن جبل کہتاہے کہ ایک دن پیغمبر خدا نے مجھے عبداللہ بن سلام کے پاس بھیجا تا کہ حضرت کی خدمت میں شرفیاب ہوجائے حالانکہ اس وقت کچھ لوگ حضرت کے اطراف میں حلقہ کئے ہوئے تھے عبداللہ بن سلام داخل ہوا پیغمبر خدا اس کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا اے عبداللہ جس دن حضرت ابراہیم کو آگ میں ڈالا گیا خدا نے اس کو دس کلمات یاد کرادیے کیا وہ کلمات تورات میں موجود ہیں عبداللہ نے کہا اے پیغمبر خدا میرے ماں باپ تمہارے اوپر قربان ہوں کیا کوئی چیز اس کے بارے میں آپ پر نازل ہوئی ہے میں نے اس کے ثواب اور اجر کو تورات میں پڑھا ہے لیکن ان کلمات کو دریافت نہیں کرسکا اور وہ دس کلمات ہیں اس میں اسم اعظم موجود ہے مطلب رسول خدا نے فرمایا کیا خدا نے ان کلمات کو حضرت موسیٰ کو یاد کرایا ہے تو کہا کہ خداوند نے ان کلمات کو ابراہیم خلیل کے علاوہ کسی کو یاد نہیں کرایا ہے۔ رسول خدا نے فرمایا اے عبداللہ اس کا ثواب اجر تورات میں کیا ہے عبداللہ نے کہا اے رسول خدا کس کی ہمت ہے کہ اس کے ثواب اور اجر کو بیان کرے صرف یہ دیکھا ہے کہ تورات میں لکھا ہوا موجود ہے۔ کوئی بندہ نہیں ہے کہ خدا نے ان پر احسان کیا ہو اور ان کلمات کو اس کے دل میں رکھا ہو مگر یہ کہ اس کے آنکھوں میں نور اور اس کے دل میں یقین قرار دیتاہے اور اس کے سینہ کو ایمان قبول کرنے کے لئے کھول دیتاہے اس کے لئے ایک نور قرار دیتاہے کہ جہاں بیٹھا ہوا ہے وہاں سے عرش تک نور افشانی کرتاہے اس کی وجہ سے دن میں دو مرتبہ ملائیکہ پر فخر و مباہات کرتاہے حکمت کو اس کی زبان میں قرار دیتاہے اور حفظ قرآن اس کو عطا کرتاہے اگرچہ اس امر میں حریص نہ بھی ہو اس کو دین میں فقیہ اور عالم بنادیتاہے اور اس کی محبت کو لوگوں کے دلوں میں ڈال دیتاہے قبر کے عذاب اور دجال کے فتنہ سے محفوظ ہوجاتاہے قیامت کے ہولناک خوف سے محفوظ ہوجاتاہے اس کو شہداء کی جماعت میں مبعوث کرتاہے خداوند تعالیٰ اس کو وہ عزّت دیتاہے کہ جو عزّت اپنے پیغمبروں کو عطا کرتاہے جس وقت لوگ کسی چیز سے ڈریں گے وہ نہیں ڈرے گا جب لوگ محزون ہونگے وہ غمگین نہیں ہوگا وہ خدا کی درگاہ میں صدیقین میں سے لکھا جائے گا اور قیامت کے دن آرام اور مطمئن دل کے ساتھ محشور ہوگا یہ ان میں سے ہے کہ جو حضرت ابراہیم کے ساتھ ہم مرتبہ ہوگا۔ وہ اس دعا کے ساتھ خدا سے جو چیز مانگے گا خدا اس کو دے دے گا اگر خدا کی قسم کھالے تو اس کی قسم کو اچھا قرار دیتاہے اور دارالجلال میں حضرت رحمان کا ہمسایہ ہوجاتاہے اور اس کیلئے ہر شہید جتنا ثواب ہے کہ جو اس دنیا کی پیدائش سے شہید ہوئے ہیں پیغمبر اکرم نے فرمایا اے ابن سلام دارالجلال کیا ہے کہا بہشت جاویدان ہے وہاں پر خدائے رحمان کا عرش ہے جو جوار خدا میں ہے ابن سلام نے عرض کیا اے رسول خدا ہمارے اوپر احسان کریں اور اس دعا کو ہمیں یاد کرادیں جیسا کہ خدا نے تم پر احسان کیا ہے حضرت پیغمبر نے فرمایا خدا کے لئے سجدہ کرو راوی کہتاہے تمام مرائی سب اور جو بھی وہاں حاضر تھے سب سجدہ میں گئے جب سجدہ سے سر اٹھایا تو پیغمبر اسلام نے فرمایا کہ وہ دعا یہ ہے۔۔۔

3. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

4. یَا اللهُ یَااللهُ یَااللهُ، اَنْتَ الْمَرْهُوْبُ مِنْكَ جَمِیْعُ (خَلْقِكَ)، یَا نُوْرَ النُّوْرِ، اَنْتَ الَّذِیْ اِحْتَجَبْتَ دُوْنَ خَلْقِكَ فَلَا تُدْرِكُ نُوْرَكَ نُوْرٌ، یَا اللهُ یَااللهُ یَااللهُ، اَنْتَ الرَّفِیْعُ الَّذِیْ اِرْتَفَعْتَ فَوْقَ عَرْشِكَ مِنْ فَوْقِ سَمَائِكَ، فَلَا یَصِفُ عَظَمَتَكَ اَحَدٌ مِّنْ خَلْقِكَ، یَا نُوْرَ النُّوْرِ قَدِ اسْتَنَارَ بِنُوْرِكَ اَهْلُ سَمَائِكَ، وَاسْتَضَائَ بِضَوْئِكَ اَهْلُ اَرْضِكَ۔

   YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU, ANTA AL-MARHOOBU MINKA JAMEE'U (KHALQIKA), YAA NOORA AN-NOORI, ANTA ALLAZEE IHTAJABTA DOONA KHALQIKA FALAA TUDRIKU NOORAKA NOORUN, YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU, ANTA AR-RAFEE'U ALLAZEE IRTAFA'TA FAWQA 'ARSHIKA MIN FAWQI SAMAA'IKA, FALAA YASIFU 'AZAMATAKA AHADUN MIN KHALQIKA, YAA NOORA AN-NOORI QADI ISTANAARA BINOORIKA AHLU SAMAA'IKA, WASTADAA'A BIDAW'IKA AHLU ARDIK.

   O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, You are the one whom all the creations fear, O light of the light, You are the one who is hidden from Your creation such that even light cannot get access to Your light, O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, You are the mighty one who has elevated upon His throne above the heaven, Your grandness and glory cannot be described by anyone from the creations, O Light of the Light, certainly the people of the heavens illuminated with Your light, and the people of earth are shining with the beam of Your light.

   اے اللہ! اے اللہ! اے اللہ! تو ہی وہ ذات ہے جس سے تیری تمام مخلوق خوف رکھتی ہے۔ اے نورُالنور! تو وہ ہے جس نے اپنی مخلوق سے پردہ فرمایا ہے، پس کوئی نور بھی تیرے نور کو پا نہیں سکتا۔ اے اللہ! اے اللہ! اے اللہ! تو ہی وہ بلند و بالا ذات ہے جو اپنے عرش کے اوپر، اپنے آسمانوں سے بھی بلند ہے، پس تیری عظمت کو تیری مخلوق میں سے کوئی بیان نہیں کر سکتا۔ اے نورُالنور! تیرے نور سے آسمانوں کے رہنے والے منور ہیں، اور تیری روشنی سے زمین والے روشن ہیں۔

5. یَا اللهُ یَااللهُ یَااللهُ، اَنْتَ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ غَیْرُكَ، تَعَالَیْتَ عَنْ اَنْ یَكُوْنَ لَكَ شَرِیْكٌ، وَتَعَظَّمْتَ عَنْ اَنْ یَكُوْنَ لَكَ وَلَدٌ، وَتَكَرَّمْتَ عَنْ اَنْ یَّكُوْنَ لَكَ شَبِیْهٌ، وَتَجَبَّرْتَ عَنْ اَنْ یَكُوْنَ لَكَ ضِدٌّ، فَاَنْتَ اللهُ الْمَحْمُوْدُ بِكُلِّ لِسَانٍ، وَاَنْتَ الْمَعْبُوْدُ فِیْ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ، وَاَنْتَ الْمَذْكُوْرُ فِیْ كُلِّ اَوَانٍ وَزَمَانٍ، وَیَانُوْرَ النُّوْرِ، كُلُّ نُوْرٍ خَامِدٌ لِنُوْرِكَ، یَا مَلِیْكَ كُلِّ مَلِیْكٍ، یَفْنٰی، غَیْرُكَ یَا دَائِمُ، كُلُّ حَیٍّ یَمُوْتُ غَیْرُكَ۔

   YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU, ANTA ALLAZEE LAA ILAAHA GHAYRUKA, TA'AALAYTA 'AN AN YAKOONA LAKA SHAREEKUN, WATA'AZZAMTA 'AN AN YAKOONA LAKA WALADUN, WATAKARRAMTA 'AN AN YAKOONA LAKA SHABEEHUN, WATAJABBARTA 'AN AN YAKOONA LAKA DIDDUN, FA-ANTA ALLAAHU AL-MAHMOODU BIKULLI LISAANIN, WA-ANTA AL-MA'BOODU FEE KULLI MAKAANIN, WA-ANTA AL-MAZKOORU FEE KULLI AWAANIN WAZAMAANIN, WAYAA NOORA AN-NOORI, KULLU NOORIN KHAAMIDUN LINOORIKA, YAA MALEEKA KULLI MALEEKIN, YAFNAA, GHAYRUKA YAA DAA'IMU, KULLU HAYYIN YAMOOTU GHAYRUK.

   O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, You are the one save whom there is no God, You are mightier than being ascribed a partner with You, and greater than being ascribed a son for You, and Glorified to have anyone alike You, and Dignified to have an opponent for You, thus You are Allah, the Praised one by all tongues, and You are worshipped at all places, and You are remembered at all times and moments, O Light of the light, all the lights switch off in the presence of Your light, O King of all Kings, save You everything will be destroyed, O Eternal, All living beings will die except You.

   اے اللہ! اے اللہ! اے اللہ! تو ہی وہ ذات ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ تو اس سے بلند ہے کہ تیرا کوئی شریک ہو، اور تو اس سے عظیم تر ہے کہ تیرا کوئی بیٹا ہو، اور تو اس سے پاکیزہ تر ہے کہ تیری کوئی مثال یا ہمسر ہو، اور تو اس سے قاہر تر ہے کہ تیرا کوئی مدِّمقابل یا ضد ہو۔ پس تو ہی وہ اللہ ہے جس کی ہر زبان حمد کرتی ہے، اور تو ہی وہ معبود ہے جس کی ہر جگہ عبادت کی جاتی ہے، اور تو ہی وہ ذات ہے جسے ہر وقت اور ہر زمانے میں یاد کیا جاتا ہے۔ اور اے نورُالنور! ہر نور تیرے نور کے سامنے ماند پڑ جاتا ہے۔ اے ہر بادشاہ کے بادشاہ! تیری ذات کے سوا سب فنا ہونے والے ہیں۔ اے ہمیشہ رہنے والے! ہر زندہ کو موت آنی ہے، سوائے تیرے۔

6. یَا اللهُ یَااللهُ یَااللهُ الرَّحْمَانُ الرَّحِیْمُ، اِرْحَمْنِیْ رَحْمَۃً تُطْفِیُٔ بِهَا غَضَبَكَ، وَتَكُفُّ بِهَا عَذَابَكَ، وَتَرْزُقُنِیْ بِهَا سَعَادَۃً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، وَتَحُلُّنِیْ بِهَا دَارَكَ الَّتِیْ تَسْكُنُهَا خِیَرَتُكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ، یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ۔

   YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU AR-RAHMAANU AR-RAHEEMU, IRHAMNEE RAHMATAN TUTFI'U BIHAA GHADABAKA, WATAKUFFU BIHAA 'AZAABAKA, WATARZUQUNEE BIHAA SA'AADATAN MIN 'INDIKA, WATAHULLUNEE BIHAA DAARAKA ALLATEE TASKUNUHAA KHIYARATUKA MIN KHALQIKA, YAA ARHAMA AR-RAAHIMEEN.

   O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, O Beneficent, O Merciful, have mercy upon me with a mercy that puts off the fire of Your wrath and anger, and separates me from Your Punishment, and provides me with the glory and good-fortune from Your threshold, and place me in the house where Your noble servants reside, O the most Beneficent.

   اے اللہ! اے اللہ! اے اللہ! اے نہایت مہربان، نہایت رحم کرنے والے! مجھ پر ایسی رحمت فرما جس کے ذریعے تو اپنے غضب کو ٹھنڈا کر دے، اور اپنے عذاب کو مجھ سے دور فرما دے، اور اسی رحمت کے ذریعے مجھے اپنی طرف سے سعادت اور بھلائی عطا فرما، اور اسی رحمت کے سبب مجھے اپنے اس گھر میں جگہ عطا فرما جس میں تیری مخلوق میں سے برگزیدہ بندے سکونت رکھتے ہیں۔ اے سب سے بڑھ کر رحم فرمانے والے!

7. یَامَنْ اَظْہَرَ الْجَمِیْلَ وَسَتَرَ الْقَبِیْحَ، یَامَنْ لَّمْ یُؤَاخِذْ بِالْجَرِیْرَۃِ، وَلَمْ یَہْتِکِ السِّتْرَ، یَاعَظِیْمَ الْعَفْوِ، یَاحَسَنَ التَّجَاوُزِ، یَاوَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَۃِ، یَابَاسِطَ الْیَدَیْنِ بِالرَّحْمَۃِ، یَاصَاحِبَ کُلِّ نَجْوٰی، وَیَا مُنْتَہٰی کُلِّ شَکْوٰی، یَاکَرِیْمَ الصَّفْحِ، یَاعَظِیْمَ الْمَنِّ، یَامُبْتَدِئًا بِالنِّعَمِ قَبْلَ اسْتِحْقَاقِہَا، یَا رَبَّاهُ یَارَبَّاهُ، وَیَا سَیِّدَاهُ، وَیَا اَمَلَاهُ، وَیَا غَایَۃَ رَغْبَتَاهُ، اَسْاَلُكَ یَا اللهُ یَااللهُ یَااللهُ اَنْ لَا تُشَوِّہَ خَلْقِیْ فِی النَّارِ۔

   YAA MAN AZHARA AL-JAMEELA WASATARA AL-QABEEHA, YAA MAN LAM YU'AAKHIZ BIL-JAREERATI, WALAM YAHTIKI AS-SITRA, YAA 'AZEEMA AL-'AFWI, YAA HASANA AT-TAJAAWUZI, YAA WAASI'A AL-MAGHFIRATI, YAA BAASITA AL-YADAYNI BIR-RAHMATI, YAA SAAHIBA KULLI NAJWAA, WAYAA MUNTAHAA KULLI SHAKWAA, YAA KAREEMA AS-SAFHI, YAA 'AZEEMA AL-MANNI, YAA MUBTADI'AN BIN-NI'AMI QABLA ISTIHQAAQIHAA, YAA RABBAAHU YAA RABBAAHU, WAYAA SAYYIDAAHU, WAYAA AMALAAHU, WAYAA GHAAYATA RAGHBATAAHU, AS'ALUKA YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU YAA ALLAAHU AN LAA TUSHAWWIHA KHALQEE FEE AN-NAAR.

   O He who makes beauty apparent, and conceals the unpleasant, O He who does not punish His servants for their sins, and does not break their veil of honor, O great forgiver, O best Pardoner, O He who absolves widely, O He who grants mercy with extended hands, O knower of all whisperings, O He upon whom the judgment of all complaints end, O Master of great kindness, O Master of great generosity, O He who granted His servants with bounties before they deserved it, O My Lord, O My Lord, O Master, O Hope, O Final Desire, I ask You O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, do not dispose my body in the hellfire.

   اے وہ ذات جس نے خوبصورتی کو ظاہر کیا اور برائی کو چھپا لیا، اے وہ ذات جو گناہ پر فوراً گرفت نہیں کرتی اور پردہ دری نہیں فرماتی، اے عظیم معاف کرنے والے، اے بہترین درگزر فرمانے والے، اے وسیع مغفرت والے، اے رحمت کے لیے دونوں ہاتھ پھیلانے والے، اے ہر راز کی بات کو سننے والے، اور اے ہر فریاد کی انتہا، اے بڑی شان سے درگزر کرنے والے، اے عظیم احسان فرمانے والے، اے وہ ذات جو استحقاق سے پہلے ہی نعمتیں عطا فرماتی ہے، اے میرے رب! اے میرے رب! اے میرے آقا! اے میری امید! اے میری تمام آرزوؤں کی آخری منزل! میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں، اے اللہ! اے اللہ! اے اللہ! کہ تو میرے جسم کو آگ (جہنم) میں بدصورت نہ کرنا۔

8. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA SALLI 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA-AALI MUHAMMAD.

   O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

   اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔

9. Ibn e Salaam asked: O Messenger of Allah, what is the reward of he who recites these verses? His holiness said: Alas! Alas! It is not possible to write down its rewards. If the angels of the seven heavens and earth come together and wish to describe it till the day of Resurrection, they would fail to mention even one part out of the thousand parts of its reward. Then Prophet (s) stated numerous rewards and attributes of these words which cannot be mentioned here due to the conciseness of this book and conclude this discussion here.

   عرض کیا اے رسول خدا ان کلمات کا ثواب کیا ہے: حضرت نے فرمایا ھیہات ھیہات قلم اس دعا کے ثواب کے لکھنے سے رکا ہوا ہے اگر سات آسمان اور زمین کے ملائکہ سب اکٹھے بیٹھ کر اس دعا کے ثواب کو قیامت تک بیان کریں تو ہزار جزء میں سے ایک جز کی توصیف نہیں کرسکیں گے اس وقت حضرت نے اس دعا کے فضائل کو بیان کیا یہاں پر ذکر کرنے کی گنجائش نہیں ہے اس لئے اسی مقدار پر اکتفا کرتاہوں۔
