Qunoot of Namaz-e-Witr-1

قنوت نماز وتر۔۱

Ahmad Ibn Ansari quotes on the authority of Raja’ Ibn Abi Zahhaak who said that Imam Reza (a) used to recite 70 times the following supplication of seeking forgiveness in the Qunoot of prayer of Watr. Then Imam Reza (a) said: “I bequest you to perform the midnight prayer whoever gets up in the night should perform 8 rakats of supererogatory of Namaz al-shab and then 2 rakats namaz of Shaf’ and one rakat Namaz of Watr and whoever will seek forgiveness 70 times in its Qunoot would be relieved of the torment of grave and hell by Almighty Allah, will get enhancement in his life span and boost in his sustenance…

احمد بن انصاری نے رجع بن ابی ضاحاک سے نقل کیا ہے کہ انہوں نے کہا : امام رضاؑ نماز وتر کے قنوت میں اس استغفار کو ۷۰ مرتبہ پڑھتے تھے۔ پھر امامؑ نے فرمایا: میں تاکید کرتا ہوں کہ جو کوئی رات میں نیند سے بیدار ہو تو اُسے چاہیے کہ نماز شب کو انجام دے کہ جس میں ۸ رکعت نماز نوافل شب، ۲ رکعت نماز شفع اور ایک رکعت نماز وتر کہ جس کے قنوت میں ۷۰ مرتبہ اس استغفار کو پڑھے تو اللہ تعالی اس کو عذابِ قبر اور جہنم کی آگ سے محفوظ رکھےگا، اُسکی عمر اور رزق میں بھی اضافہ ہوگا۔۔۔

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَاَسْاَلُهُ التَّوْبَةَ۔

As-tagh-ferul laaha wa as-alo-hut taw-ba-ta.

I ask Allah for forgiveness and I pray to Him to accept my repentance.

اے خدا! تجھ سے بخشش طلب کرتا ہو اور توبہ کا سوال کرتا ہوں۔
