احمد بن انصاری نے رجاء بن ابی ضحاک سے روایت کی ہے کہ انہوں نے کہا: امام رضاؑ نماز وتر کے قنوت میں اس دعا کو پڑھتے تھے۔۔۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ اَللّٰهُمَّ اهْدِنَا فِيْمَنْ هَدَيْتَ وَعَافِنَا فِيْمَنْ عَافَيْتَ وَتَوَلَّنَا فِيْمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِيْمَا اَعْطَيْتَ وَقِنَا شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ فَاِنَّكَ تَقْضِيْ وَلَا يُقْضٰى عَلَيْكَ اِنَّهٗ لَا يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ وَلَا يَعِزُّ مَنْ عَادَيْتَ تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ۔

Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin allaahumma ihdinaa feeman hadayta wa'aafinaa feeman 'aafayta watawallanaa feeman tawallayta wabaarik lanaa feemaa a'tayta waqinaa sharra maa qadayta fa-innaka taqdee walaa yuqdaa 'alayka innahoo laa yazillu man waalayta walaa ya'izzu man 'aadayta tabaarakta rabbanaa wata'aalayt.

O my Lord! Please send blessings upon Muhammad (s) and the Household of Muhammad (a)! O my Lord! Please guide us amongst those whom You have guided! Make us healthy and place us amongst those whom You have made healthy! Be kind to us and place us amongst those whom You have been kind to! Bless for us what You have granted us! Protect us from the evil which You have destined (for the wicked ones)! As You are the One who destines. There is none to command You! Whomever You love will not be humiliated! Whomever You have considered as an enemy will not be honored! O Our Lord! You are Blessed! You are High!

اے اللہ! محمدؐ و آلِ محمدؑ پر درود بھیج، اے خدا! ہمیں ان کے ساتھ ہدایت دے جن کو تو نے ہدایت عطا فرمائی، ان کے ساتھ عافیت عطا فرما جن کو تونے عافیت عطا فرمائی، جن کی تو نے سرپرستی کی ہے، ان کے ہمراہ سرپرستی عطا فرما، جو کچھ تو نے عطا کیا ہے، اس میں برکت عطا فرما، اس شر سے محفوظ فرما جس کو تو مقدر کر چکا ہے، بے شک تو حکم کرنے والا ہے اور تجھ پر حکم نہیں کیا جا سکتا، جس کی تو سرپرستی کرتا ہے، وہ ذلیل نہیں ہوتا، جس کا تو دشمن ہو جائے وہ کبھی عزیز نہیں ہو سکتا، با برکت ہے ہمارا پروردگار اور بلند و برتر ہے۔
