Relief from Headache

سر درد سے راحت

1. Abu Salt al-Harawi narrated from Imam Reza (a) from his father from Imam Baqir (a) who said: Teach our Shiahs to recite the following for a pain in the head. They are Sublime Names and have an authority given by Allah, the Exalted and Sublime. Allah will turn that [pain] away from them…

   ابو سالت الحراوی نے امام رضاؑ سے اور اُنہوں نے اپنے والدِ بزرگوار سے اور اُنہوں نے امام باقرؑ سے کہ اُنہوں نے فرمایا: ہمارے شیعوں کو سر کے درد سے راہت کے لئے یہ ذکر کی تعلیم دو، یہ نام بہت اکسیر ہے اور اس کی سند اللہ تعالی سے ہے، اللہ تعالی اس درد کو دور کر دےگا۔۔۔

2. يَا طَنَاتْ‏، يَا طَمْنَة، يَا ذَرْ، يَا طَاهِيُّ

   YAA TANAAT, YAA TAMNAH, YAA ZAR, YAA TAAHIYYO

   These words don’t have a clear “dictionary” meaning in Arabic in the source texts they’re treated as special names (titles) used as an invocation, not normal Arabic vocabulary. So in English, you would translate them basically by transliteration: “O Tanāt, O Tamnah, O Dharr, O Ṭāhī.”

   یہ الفاظ عام عربی کے معنی والے الفاظ نہیں بلکہ خاص نام )القاب( کی طرح ندا (پکار) کے طور پر آتے ہیں، اس لیے ان کا ترجمہ نہیں کیا جاتا بس اسی طرح پڑھا / لکھا جاتا ہے: اے طَنات، اے طَمْنَہ، اے ذَرّ، اے طاہی۔
