Uttering Takbeer 3 times after Namaz

نماز کے بعد ۳ مرتبہ تکبیر کہنا

1. It is recommended to utter the Takbeer statement 3 times immediately after accomplishing any obligatory prayer, raising the hands to the level of the face at uttering each statement and then putting them down to the knees or a close place. Ali ibn Tawus and Ibn Baabwayh (Shaikh Saduq) have reported through valid chains of authority that Mufaddal ibn ‘Umar asked Imam Sadiq (a) to tell him why a performer of prayer, immediately upon the accomplishment of prayers, raises his hand 3 times while uttering the Takbeer statement. The Imam (a) said: This is because when the Holy Prophet (s) conquered Makkah, he led his companions in the Zohr (midday) prayer of that day near the Black Stone.    مستحب ہے کہ فريضہ نماز کے بعد ہاتھوں کو ۳ مرتبہ اُٹھا کر چہرے کے سامنے کانوں کی لوؤں تک لے جائے اور پھررانوں پر ہاتھ رکھے اور ہر مرتبہ ’’اللهُ اَکبَرُ ‘‘ کہے چنانچہ علی بن ابراہيم، سيّد ابن طاوس اور ابن بابويہ نے معتبر اسناد کے ساتھ روايت کی ہے کہ مفضل بن عمر نے امام جعفر صادقؑ سے پوچھا کہ نمازی کس بنا پر نماز کے بعد۳ مرتبہ تکبير کہتا ہے تو آنجنابؑ نے فرمايا: اس ليے کہ جب آنحضرتؐ نے مکّہ کو فتح کيا تو حجر اسود کے پاس اپنے ساتھيوں سميت نماز ظہر ادا کی اور جب نماز کا سلام کہہ چکے تو ۳ مرتبہ تکبير کہی اور ہاتھوں کے اٹھانے کے وقت کہا۔۔۔

2. لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهٗ وَحْدَهٗ وَحْدَهٗ اَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهٗ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهٗ وَاَعَزَّ جُنْدَهٗ وَغَلَبَ الْاَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهٗ فَلَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِىْ وَيُمِيْتُ وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ۔

   LAA ILAAHA ILLAL-LAAHO WAH-DAHU WAH-DAHU WAH-DAHU AN-JAZA WA’DAHU WA NASARA ‘AB-DAHU WA A‘AZZA JUN-DAHU WA GHALA-BAL AH-ZAABA WAH-DAHU FALA-HUL MULKO WA LAHUL HAMDO YUH-YEE WA YO-MEETO WA HOWA ‘ALAA KULLE SHAIY-IN QADEER.

   There is no god save Allah; Alone, alone, alone. He has truly fulfilled His promise, granted His servant victory, made powerful His soldiers, and defeated the parties alone. So, sovereignty be His and praise be His. He grants life and causes (others) to die, and (then) causes to die and raises from the dead; while He is eternally ever-living and He never dies. All goodness is at His Hand, and He has power over all things.

   نہيں کوئی معبود مگر الله، وه يکتاہے، يکتا ہے ،يکتا ہے اس نے وعده پورا کيا اپنے بندے کی مدد کی اپنے لشکرکو عزت دی اور گروہوں پرغالب آيا وه يکتا ہے حکومت اسی کی اور حمد اسی کے ليے ہے وه زنده کرتا ہے اور موت ديتا ہے اور وہی ہر چيز پرقدرت رکھتا ہے۔

3. The Holy Prophet (s) then faced his companions and said, “Do not miss uttering this Takbeer statement after every obligatory prayer, for whoever does so after the accomplishment of the prayer and says these words, will have thanked Almighty Allah as exactly as required for He has strengthened Islam and its troops.” According to an authentic tradition, when Imam Sadiq (a) accomplished the prayer, he would raise the hands above the level of the head and supplicate Almighty Allah. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a) is reported to have said, “Whenever a servant (of God) raises the hands towards Almighty Allah, the Almighty would be too shy to make that hand return empty. Hence, whenever you supplicate Him, do not return your hands to their natural position before you pass them over your faces.”

   پھر آنحضرتؐ نے اپنا رُخ اصحاب کی طرف کيا اور فرمايا: اس تکبير اور اس دُعا کو ہر فريضہ نماز کے بعد دہراتے رہنا اور اسے ترک نہ کرنا ،جو شخص يہ عمل کرے گا وه اسلام اور لشکر اسلام کی تقويت پر خدا کے حضور اس نعمت کا شکر ادا کرے گا۔ صحيح حديث ميں منقول ہے کہ جب حضرت صادق آل محمدؑ نماز سے فارغ ہوتے تو اپنے ہاتھوں کو سر مبارک تک بلند کرکے دعا مانگتے تھے۔ امام محمد باقرؑ سے مروی ہے کہ جب کوئی بنده اپنے ہاتھ خدا کی طرف بلند کر کے دُعا مانگتا ہے تو خدا کو اس امر سے حيا آجاتی ہے کہ اسے خالی ہاتھ پلٹائے اس ليے دُعا مانگو، ہاتھوں کو نيچے کرتے وقت انہيں اپنے سر اور چہرے پر پھير لو۔
